Minh had mentioned the Tulgey Wood to her awhile ago but now that she was doing it... she was not sure she should have came. It was dark being night time. She never would have came at night had she another time to do it. She worked all day in the courts and Father expected her home at a certain time so really this was her only time to explore the regions... night. It was not however, the pleasant place she had thought of with pretty flowers and trees. It was in fact a dark and confusing place that though it was not terribly hard to find, it was not so fun to get out of. Dilis was not even sure she would unless she found some resident that might help her. " Ah well, might as well explore while I can" she said as she trudged in deeper into the wood. As she was walking she got this distinct feeling of being watched, though she saw no one. Being level-headed she decided not to let it worry her though that did not stop her knees from shaking. She was glad she at least had her bipedal form now, which made it easier for her to see up higher as her animal form always had her low to the ground. She looked around twirling her pearls around in her finger (she did that sometimes when she was nervous) looking for any one who could help and seeing none. " For all the blabber I hear about this place, where are all the terrifying residents there are supposed to be?" She asked aloud. She knew she might be being foolish but all she was thinking about was finding out what she needed to know and getting home. " Hello?" She called hoping someone heard her, not knowing that in this place... sometimes it was best that they did not.

Alphonse was out hunting for dinner, a snack, something to assuage the hunger that his father's food just couldn't seem to dampen. He knew what he was after, though he had yet to figure out who or 'what' specifically, and he flapped quietly between the branches of the trees as his sensitive ears flicked this way and that for the sound of someone moving. He was also listening for the sound of a hunting Jubjub bird or anything else dangerous like that to avoid. He didn't fancy having his brains pecked out and his mother had told him enough stories that he knew what to look and listen for. He heard a voice and paused, moving to cling to the branch of a tree rather than continue flying, to try to make out what exactly he had heard. The words hadn't been discernable, but that had definitely been a voice. And then he heard it again, calling out, and his red eyes narrowed slightly. Whoever they are, they were stupid. They also didn't sound like they belonged in the Wood. Could it possibly be an Outsider? His metaphorical hackles rose at the thought. Mommy taught them what to think of Outsiders. They didn't belong in the Wood and should not be tolerated. He eyed the bracelet attached to the bone and membrane of his wing, a trinket with which he had been born that possessed abilities he had only begun to understand recently. Maybe he could scare the fool. Maybe he could make them leave like a good resident of the Wood was supposed to. He was only about seven, not quite old enough to start making them 'disappear' entirely, but... he had an idea. He could certainly make them wish they'd never come. He detached himself from the tree and flapped away from the voice until his sensitive eyes spied a large rock on the forest floor. Quickly, he landed on the rock and began to chew threw it, his abnormally capable teeth making quick work of the stone. Once he'd gnawed himself a nice, hefty chunk of rock that he could carry in one of his back feet, he flew up and situated himself in a pine tree. Then he grabbed a pine cone in his other foot and waited silently to see if it really was an intruder in the Wood. If so, she would be walking past his perch shortly. He stayed silent and tucked into the foliage for the time being, not easily visible from the ground.

Dilis was about to give up hopes of finding anyone when she felt she heard a noise.
"Hello? Is someone there? I am lost and need to get out of here but I keep walking in circles. Might you help me? I know I may not be welcome here..."
She was beginning to get scared now as she kept hearing noises of someone moving but she saw no one. She walked slowly, carefully in case someone might pop out at her. She thought perhaps the person was hurt and could not call to her; maybe they were afraid to. She was a stranger to this realm and she did not know the temperament of the residents. She hoped at least they would be kind to her... though from what she could tell so far, they probably would not.
"If someone is hurt and needs help, it is alright to say so... I am a friend and I will assist you..." She called out hopefully.
(sorry that was pretty bad and a no no in all horror movies)

The squirrel-bat's red eyes lit up in utter delight. Not only was this an honest-to-dark Outsider, but it was a stupid outsider that would make for excellent prey and practice! She was actually calling out for help in the middle of the night in the Wood, looking for all the world like a giant green buffet in her pretty pearls. Seeing them, something in him perked up further and he couldn't help the sudden wave of glee at the thought of feasting on this woman. She must taste delicious to give him such an instinctive reaction! He could practically smell her blood from in the tree.
Scooping up the pine cone cautiously in one wing, he flung it at her head - hard. It was a pine cone so it certainly wouldn't do any permanent damage, but it would most certainly get and hold her attention.
"Echeh! Stupid woman! You are no friend. You're an Outsider. What do you want here?" Tonight would be the perfect chance for him to continue his practice with the unusual 'gift' he'd been born with. No one had any idea why or how, but it was his and he knew what it did.

Dilis was about to call out again when she felt something hit her head; she looked down to see it was… a pine cone? She looked around to see where the attack had come from but she saw no one. Fearing the worst she instinctively used her ability to take the dead wood around the ground and build a box around herself.
“I came here to find out what was so frightening about the Wood. I see now that it is just the temperament of the residents that scares people. What I would like now is to find my way out; if you do not like me being here do you not find it prudent to help me find my way? That would really only make sense. Shame on you however for hitting me when all I want to do is leave, you should be ashamed of yourself.” She said bluntly. It was not like her to chastise but (from what she could hear) little one had attacked her without reason.

Alphonse chittered with high-pitched laughter, mocking the woman and her cage made of wood. Well, that was a nifty ability and were he not able to do what he could do, it would have annoyed the utter crap out of him by blocking her off. As it was, however, he relaxed where he was in the tree and watched her.
"You don't understand anything, do you, stupid Outsider? Echeh. You'd best be glad I found you rather than a Jubjub out for a snack. It would have pecked a hole in your thick skull before you would have known it was there, and then its talons would have blinded you and you would have been its meal. Then again, just because I'm thinking about something different, that doesn't mean it's all that much more pleasant."
He fluffed out his tail and snorted scornfully when she had the gall to scold him. "Shame on you for being a fool! Do not come into the Wood with no knowledge, strolling around like an easy meal calling out for its hunter, if you do not want to be attacked. Echeh, but you are dumb, and I forget. I will not help you out. That would be dumb on my part, and I am not dumb. I know how to treat your kind, Outsider. I was taught young." His eyeteeth gleamed as he slowly pushed them out, turning from sharp little canines into genuine fangs. It made him feel good to have them there.

Dilis peered out from the little hole she made for herself in the box. She was correct in thinking he was a child, but what a bitter child he was. Obviously someone had poisoned his mind as to the residents of other realms and she wondered why. It did not seem right to her as she held no reservations about other realms, she was intrigued to visit them all.
“I understand plenty of things, just because I have never visited your realm before does not mean I understand nature as it were. Honestly, I do not feel fortunate at all as all you have done so far is mock me and throw things at me. At least with a jubjub I would know what was to happen. I have enough sense in me to stay away from those types of things anyway. I do not find it stupidity to feel compassion for someone who sounded hurt and wanted to help. I feel a bit of pity for you however, that you will never know that.”

Rosemary skipped through the Wood. Her brother was around somewhere, and she knew the exact direction of where he would probably be. He did things at night, hunting or something. Honestly Rosemary wasn't picky about the details. Her brother was generally fun and she enjoyed being outside and wandering with him if the chance came up. Tonight she just decided to follow him. Sneaking out was her second best friend and she had mastered it. Daddy wouldn't even know she was gone unless she didn't come home, and Rosemary always came home. The wolf-squirrel stopped dead in her tracks when she heard the voice of her brother and someone else. He tail fluffed up in agitation as she listened to the words coming from that someone else. The best term she could think of was "self righteous bitch." Even if Daddy would scold her for saying something like that, she thought it was quite appropriate. Outsiders. Grr. She carefully took cover in the foliage and trees, getting closer and closer as quietly as she could until at least one thing was in sight. She would wait to see what her brother did before she tried to do anything. Her brother was fun to watch after all.

Alphonse wrinkled his nose in disdain as the Outsider continued rambling on about a whole lot of nothing from inside that little protective box of hers. Well. He could fix that quite nicely, and the timing was approaching perfect. It was too bad she hadn't been more fun to taunt. "Echeh. I'm sure you will be delicious," he sneered, then closed his eyes and concentrated on the bracelet threaded through his wing membrane from birth. He hadn't used it yet this week and it seemed rather fitting to make it count against an Outsider and towards a meal all in one go.
And suddenly it was five minutes ago, with only him being the wiser. He hadn't yet made his presence known to the woman, who was walking along, but he was perched up in the tree with his pine cone and his rock. He let his fangs extend once again, seeing as they had been retracted before, and hefted the pine cone at her head.
This time, however, rather than wait for her to pause and look around like she had done before, he snickered. "That was to make you look up!" he called, even as the rock was sailing for her head. With any luck, it would hit her square in the forehead and knock her into an unconscious pile of bipedal feline. He was still a happy thing, however, annoyance dissipating somewhat as he glanced at her pretty pearls.

She really had herself in a mess now, here she was stuck in Tugley Wood knowing no one and not getting any answers... and now she was lost. But she was safe in her box, right? She really should have listened to her Father, he would be furious if he knew... He got to be a bit unreasonable sometimes; as she looked around she started to feel more scared than she already was.
"Delicious? What do you mean?" And suddenly it was five minutes prior. "Hello? Is someone there?"... and then she was out. The person had lobbed an object at her and it had certainly made the impact. She lay there in a lump unconscious, looking so pathetic and vulnerable.
((Ouch Sorry, this sucked but it was just kinda like BOOM she's out))
