The brothers waited at the lake edge expectantly. It was normal for dear Malc to be late. He was so busy chasing girls and staying away from home that Dad wasn't bothered by his absence as much anymore. Now with dad aiming for the courts? Well, he was distracted enough not to notice some of the more important things going on between is sons. In particular The Brotherhood. They never really called it that out loud but that was what it was. There was nothing else it really could be, could it? Ez wiggled his toes in the water's edge. he was taller than both is brothers now, all because of his biped form. He didn't quite like it, but he had a feeling that he would end up the tallest out of the three. It didn't rightly matter he just found it amusing. He was, after all, the most feminine of the boys. He turned to Zane who hadn't bothered to bring a book. He was tracing things with his foot in the sand. Imagines of fantastical creatures and such. If he had hands, his drawings would probably be sellable. Ez had always voiced that, but Zane found more solace in numbers than art, women, and having teenage fun. Zane looked to his brother , "Where do you think he is?""The horizon!" Ez pointed with a smirk.

Malc floated through the air absently, flapping his wings from time to time and tilting them ever so slightly to change his course. He had grown stronger over the last few years and he loved playing in the air. It always amazed him how by slightly flexing one muscle or another it could throw you in a completely opposite direction. Finally over a hill he saw his brothers sitting upon the ground. Both were hard to overlook. His brother Zane stood out because of his wings and especially his colours but Ez well. . Ez always stood out. His eyes softened and he smiled warmly as he glided in towards them. "Brothers!" He yelled from a ways away. He nearly tripped over his wings during his landing. Malchiah's muscles hadn't quite caught up with his teenage growth spurt, and yet he was still the shortest. Compared to his tall lanky brother Ez, and his taller but masculine brother Zane he was positively dwarfish. He smirked, the ladies didn't seem to mind though. . men neither. He coughed slightly as he walked up to his brothers with a gigantic grin plastered upon his face. "Well lookit that I'm early!"

"You are not." Zane said with a stern look. He was joking of course, they never really did set a proper time for the meeting. Otherwise at least one of them would have been late.
"EEE! I'm so happy to see you!" Ez said, hugging his brother. He didn't particularly care at how uncomfortable ti made him, he wanted to hug him. It had been too long since they had seen each other in more than just passing. The smile on his beak wasn't going to fade as he squeezed his brother tighter.
Zane shook his head. "It's nice to see you Mr. Ladies Man. Been doing well?" Zane knew the answer to the question. Oh yes he did. He just didn't know the answer to the question that popped into Ez's head and out his smiling beak.
"What are we plotting today?" He said still hugging is brother, but he gave an excited bounce.

Malc laughed openly at Zane's retort. "Well I'm not late and that's good enough for me." Oh. . he was late. But if he ignored that fact >.> hehee
Startled slightly when Ez near about tackled him Malc blushed at the hug. His brothers enthusiasm was something he loved and his eyes closed as he hugged back as best he could with his wings. He. . Malc's eyes snapped open as he realized Zane was still there and he coughed and chirped a bit as Malc squeezed him tighter. Malc had the urge to squeeze back and push Ez to ground. To roam that lean. . he stopped his thoughts quite abruptly blushing somewhat harder as Zane spoke again.
"I. . I've been doing great!" He ruffled his feathers, trying to hide his slight confusion at the thoughts that had just circled his head. His grin was positively radiant as Ez asked what they were going to get into.
"Well. . I" His smile toned down a bit before he went forwards. "I was thinking we could just hang out? Maybe? We haven't. . really seen each other much.. Brother alone time?" Please, oh please don't question why. His eyes glanced quickly at his taller bipedal brother before looking away again.

Zane caught on quicker than he really wanted to. He noticed Malc's hesitation. His actions. The mix realm sparrow hoped that he was mistaken, and that there really weren't horrible thoughts. He would leave that subject untouched for Ez's sake. The diamond didn't need encouragement.
Ez chirped in surprise and let go of his brother. He blinked a few times. He was right. None of them really had had that much alone time together. Did Malc miss them that much? That was so sweet! He chirped again, this time it was happy one rather than a surprised one. "Of course we can! It wouldn't be an outing if we all weren't happy with what we were doing!"
"As brothers then, what would you like to do Malc? Simply watch the water ripple or talk about what we've missed in each others lives?" Zane said with a sigh. He sounded like an old man, and he also sounded like something from a horrible romance novel. Ugh. Hopefully this won't go in any direction like that.

Malc shot Zane a look for his tone, he wasn't sure if it was directed at him for the reason he thought it was or not. But either way, he didn't like it. "I don't know! Why don't we just wander around, see what trouble we can get into hum?" He chuckled and clapped Ez on the shoulder with a wing.
"Unless you guys have a better idea." He looked at Ez, with an extremely fake sad look. For some odd reason he just wasn't interested in girls today. A good day with the brothers yes, that was what he wanted. Though . .he wouldn't mind some alone time with Ez. At the same time though. . he was terrified of alone time with Ez, something he had never felt before.
"Zane? Any amazingly bright ideas?" A jab. . and yet not. He knew where the brains in this trio lay.

Zane blinked at his brother's change in tone. Okay, whatever was bothering you Malc, don't bite anyone's head off. The mixed sparrow shrugged, "Ideas? There's no point in having an idea on a wonderful day like this. Wandering is sometimes the best thing to do."
Ez blinked. Was something wrong and he just didn't notice? The midform sparrow shook his head. It didn't really matter he was with is brothers after all. "We could not get into trouble for once. I mean, we can spend time together without blowing something up I guess?" The sparrow looked away for a moment. He usually wasn't one to suggest such a feat.
"Let's just go somewhere then?" Zane shrugged. They were getting nothing done discussing what to do. They might as well just go and do it! "Why bother sitting around and discussing something when none of us will come to an agreement. Let's just walk for now." Zane nodded.

Malc frowned for a split second. There had been no need to snap at Zane just because he was confused. He flushed a little redder before putting on his biggest smile. Cheese. Gotta love it.
"Sounds good guys! Let's have some fun then eh?" He wiggled his eyebrows before putting a wing about both their shoulders, trying to pull them all together as they walked. Malchiah would hate himself if he ever drove either of his brothers away. And it just wasn't right to treat one you loved with anger, especially if it was an inner anger that had nothing to do with that person.
He turned to smile sheepishly at Zane just for a second before looking forwards again. "I heard some of the berries are finally ripe, if you guys want to grab some free grub?" He offered. Lately he'd been sort of living off them, unwilling to go home and face a hard truth. His father wasn't around as much as he wished, and the didn't like the feelings being around Ez seemed to stir up so very often.

Zane raised his brow. Something really was bothering Malch and it was as plan as day. Even Ez seemed to notice it, judging from the concerned look. "Berries sound fine... but you know Malch, we've been worried about you. You've been home less and less often."
Ez made a worried sound at his brother's statement. They had been worried, so very much lately. Not only over Malch but over Dad and Mori and everything. It was just a big mess, but everyone was trying so hard. Ez felt a bit useless. A bit was an understatement, but he left it at that. "You know we miss you right? We barely see you or Dad now. It gets lonely with the two of us since Mom's been busy with the girls." He let out a slight sigh.
"For now, I guess we can just focus on having fun." Zane shook his head. No need to discuss such matters when Malch would simply shrug them off anyway.

Malchiah watched his brother, his heart sinking a little at their words. "I. .don't really mean to take off on you guys. I just like to wander. . ." He hung his white and blue head and scuffed uncomfortably at the ground with a foot. "If you . .guys want me around more often I could probably manage it." He said with a soft voice as he looked up at his brothers.
He coughed as Zane stepped in to save the moment and nodded swiftly. "Yeah! Fun. . lets have fun guys." Malc said with his customary grin back, though it seemed tainted by just an edge of sadness. He had never meant to make his brothers worry, or to hurt them.
"I miss you guys too. . " He said simply as he began to walk with them towards the berry patch. Had he really been away that much? He definately needed to make a note of coming home occasionally if it was serious enough for them to bring it up.
