Once that Pascha established that Aderlass and Malchiah were having an interesting conversation involving toilets, he began to pay more attention to what they were saying. Sitting down, not burning, jobs, blah, blah, giving him pascha's jo--what.. WHAT. "WHAT!" Without his permission the exclamation came forth from Pascha's beak and he quickly flew around the tree in order to glare very intently at the Queen.
The owl slowly drew his watch out from it's standard place under his wing, and gradually held it up in front of Aderlass's face. "I will find Anoushka, I will bring her here, and I will use this." He didn't find it necessary to elaborate anymore on the subject. Aderlass knew the extent of his watch's powers, and it the bird didn't need t--THE BIRD.
Hoshit, the bird was there. Pascha was flailing mentally as he slowly turned his head (but not his body--and unintentionally for once) to stare at Malc with wide eyes.

Malchiah nodded after taking a seat on the ground in front of the mouse. He felt somewhat awkward in the fact that he was taller than the Queen but then, he was sure the Queen didn't mind. After all Malchiah had the knowledge that no one got to Queen status without power, no matter what the package looked like. The sparrow got excited as they talked about jobs, and he nodded happily, agreeing that yes that sounded like a. . . Malc nearly fell over backwards as the owl jumped out from behind the tree. Until now he had heard absolutely nothing from the other birds beak and now. . . Who was Anoushka? 0o And why did the little white owl brandish a pocket watch as if it was a weapon. Surely telling time couldn't be that dangerous. Ooo what if it was one of those magical devices he had heard about? He leaned forwards unconsciously to get a closer look.

When the Sparrow took a seat on the grass before him, he placed the letter from Whip besides him giving the avian his full attention.
They talked for a few moments, narrowing it down to just what the Sparrow would want to do and what the mouse needed him for. When his plan worked he gave the Sparrow a wink before turning to look at the owl. Raising his eyebrow he said in a low voice that held no menace to it. “You would not dare, and you know it. I know where you sleep bud, and do not think for a moment I will not fry you while you are out of it.”
He knew of the watch’s magical abilities but he also knew that Pascha would not threaten him . . . not seriously anyway.
“Relax and take a seat too.” He responded, grabbing the lad by one of his ankles. If the owl did not sit down willingly he would pull the owl down.

Pascha stared back at Malc and tried not to do anything overly weird, such as looking at him like he was diseased or running away again. Instead he reverted his gaze back to Aderlass in order to scowl at him, his watch and entire arm frozen where it had originally been, since Malc had startled him before he could move it.
He knew that he would never really get away with threatening Aderlass (or putting a love spell on him, though he'd have until it wore off to get away) but it never hurt to remind him it was there, right? .. well if he wanted to get eaten, right!
When Aderlass grabbed his leg he merely glared at him some more, stubbornly refusing to move. Something in the back of his head told him that this was going to hurt in a few moments, but who actually listened to those smart little people?

Malchiah blinked rapidly, odd how he seemed to have been doing that a lot since he decided to wander into the palace grounds. He kept the edge of his beak from twitching into a smile and sat as stoicly as possible and watched the scene unfold.
The sparrow even coughed ever so slightly to try and cover a laugh that was trying so very hard to escape him. But he couldn't laugh at a Queen, that was a deathwish. However the 10 before him didn't seem to feel the same. For goodness sake he threatened the mouse with a /watch/.
Malc didn't want to draw attention to himself so he simply folded his hands upon his lap and kept watching. Clearing his throat to cover another small chuckle. Finally though, he thought it prudent to say something.
"I uh, wouldn't want to step on any toes your Majesty. But I will do whatever job you wish of me."
Hehehe, the small owl was a fun one, as was the Queen. Perhaps he could fit in here afterall.

“Nonsense. You are not stepping on any toes that I have not allowed.” He replied to the Sparrow, even as he gave a firm tug on the owl’s leg, bringing the owl down to the ground besides him, hard. If the owl gave any protest to his treatment the mouse ignored it.
“Pascha here does his job well enough so I would not actually give his position up so easily.” He said to calm the owl down some as well as to put the Sparrow at ease. “Plus I have a different job in mind for you.” He continued.
This was really turning out to be an interesting meeting indeed. It seemed that all the meetings that were not planned were the most interesting ones.
“So wot would you think to being my Personal Assistant of sorts?” he asked. “Running errands, dealing with people, and things like that. You can work with Pascha here. Would that not be great?” the last he asked towards the owl.

The owl came down just as predicted--hard, but with an added startled squeak to boot. Immediately he flushed again and sat up, ignoring the protests from his body that came from falling twice within twenty minutes. He was somewhat appeased to hear that he did his job just fine and wouldn't be losing his, though technically he would as soon as he got his Jack regardless. Working with the bird, however, had him turning to stare first at Aderlass and then at the bird.. and then back to Aderlass, because staring at the bird was making him blush more, and he was getting sick of blushing. "Wonderful," He replied sarcastically. "Just what I need. If I go crazy on him, you get to clean it up." The last part wasn't muttered in the slightest but was directed towards Aderlass, as he highly doubted that Malc would know what he meant by 'go crazy on him'. Bored with the conversation and unwilling to talk, look at or otherwise associate with Malchiah, he shifted into bipedal and flipped over onto his stomach. His wings were much bigger in this form, and allowed him to curl up under them more comfortably than in his animal form.. and the sun was so very nice.

The lakelander made a small smile before hiding it again at the small squeak that issued from the owl. Bird sounds were ever such a comforting thing to him. Though the harsher screeches of some of the more predatory species did tend to scare him a good one. Instinct perhaps.
He was mollified by Aderlass and felt quite a bit better that he wouldn't be offending anyone. In fact, the owl seemed to be pleased at the comment on his work ethic.
Malc's eyes shot open as he heard his job title. "Your Majesty! I'd be absolutely honoured, it sounds like an amazing job!" Not to mention he'd have direct ties to the top of the court of clubs. It wasn't that Malc was a political creature, but thanks to his father he knew how to spot a beneficial relationship.
Suddenly the sparrow was distracted as the small owl shifted deftly into bipedal form. He noticed the muscles ripple beneath feather and swallowed rather harder than he had to. He glanced back to Ader but his eyes strayed without permission back to the white bird. What was he doing? He never noticed males, unless they were. . well. Unless they were the one male he shouldn't have ever fancied looking at.
But Pascha, if he had caught his name properly was rather attractive for a . No he shouldn't be looking. It didn't help at all when Pascha flipped over. Oh my. . look at that round . . . Malc closed his eyes quickly and looked back at Ader.

“You will not go crazy on him, do not worry.” He replied to the owl rolling his eyes slightly. He did make a mental note however to talk to the Sparrow later about the small problem with the Owl. It really would not do for someone to get hurt when it could easily be avoided.
When Pascha proceeded to change to his bipedal and curl up to sun himself, the owl really did seem to like lying on the floor a lot, he turned his attention back to the Sparrow. Just in time to see the Sparrow eyeing Pascha in a way that was more then just innocent interest.
Raising a mental eyebrow he ignored it, clearing his throat to distract the bird. He would not interfere in anyway if the Sparrow was interested in the owl. He would give him the ‘talk’ later and wish him luck; Pascha was a creature that was hard to gain the attention of at first.
This would defiantly be something interesting to see.
