“Co~me on~” the mouse almost whined as she tugged gently on her friend’s hand. “I promise you everything will be okay. Just relax!” She gave another firm tug before turning to survey their surroundings. She had done some research and there actually seemed like there might be a chance in Elywin getting his sight back. She had asked around, after hearing something Vessie had mentioned one day at Papa’s shop, and had learned that there was someone who could be could be found in the Capital who might be able to help. They were currently walking down one of the streets in the Outer Bazaar. A little ways down a sign read “Mr. Todd's Barbary and Stylistic Emporium”. From what information she had gathered she was looking for a Corvistownian avian but no one in their immediate view seemed to fit the bill. Giving up for a moment she turned back to Eilwyn. “You said you wanted this did you not?” She could understand some of his fear but he seemed to be acting like he did not actually want it. “We can always go back, you know. This is completely your choice.”

"B-but! Do you even know where you're taking me?"Eilwyn was a little more than just frightened by being dragged to a strange place by his friend. As confident as Elyse was in all of this. Eilwyn very much wasn't. Okay, he could get his sight back. That was great and all but he didn't even know how he was going to get his sight back. That terrified him. Not knowing. He was being dragged into this place that smelled so very dirty in comparison to the parts of the city he was used to. He obviously trusted Elyse with his life, but that didn't mean he couldn't be terrified. Then she asked him that question. He hesitated for a moment and shook his head. "No... I really do want my sight back. I'm just scared." He said as his feathers fluffed up a bit. What would Dad say when he found out about this?

She nodded her head even though he could not see it. “I know you are scared but you trust me not to do anything that would harm you, do you not?” If there was any moment that he decided that he did not want to go through with it she wanted to know. She would never push him to do anything he did not want.
She gave his hand a light squeeze to help calm some of his fears. She was not sure exactly what would happen to him in the procedure either but she was hoping it would not have to be anything too severe.
“Wyn, I do not see the person we are looking for. Let’s go down this street a little further and then we can turn around, okay?” They had come down here a few times, many of them by herself, in hopes of finding this elusive person.

He made a worried sound. Her words were comforting, but words could only do so much to comfort his nerves. The eagle's feathers went down slightly as she squeezed his hand. The one thing he had to remind himself of was that he was going to get his sight back. That was the most important thing to him at the moment.
Then why was his heart still trying to leap out of his chest. Fear was getting the better of him. He wanted his sight back desperately, but he still didn't know how he was getting it back, and who was going to get it back for him besides Elyse.
"All right... but... let's just take it slow and carefully. I don't want to trip in a place like this," he said quietly. Being in such a strange place completely unnerved him. How... how was someone here going to get his sight back?

“Do not worry, we will take it slowly.” She replied to quiet comment. She could feel him quiver a little from his worry and fears and she was not quite sure what she could do to calm him.
They had been friends for a while and he seemed determined in his wanting his sight back if they could get it and she was just as determined to give it to him if she could.
She continued to lead them down the street, being careful about their pace and being sure to call out anything that could trip him and the like for a warning.
As they neared the end of the street she was starting to have thoughts that they would not be able to find who they were searching for. “Just a little farther Wyn, we are almost to the end of the street, and then we can turn back. We can go to the café for food and drinks if you want, then.” She said thinking aloud to him.

A large, hunched form stalked out of the alleyway nearby, staring down the street and spying the two as they walked along. Eyes lighting up, and a smile crossing his beak, he hurried forward.
"Ah, miss Elyse, am I right in guessing that you are in fact miss Elyse?"
The form turned out to be a large, Bipedal Heron, wearing a long buttoned white lab coat. He was obviously of Corvistowne, his black body interspersed with spasmodic bright orange markings gave that away.
He hoped this was the right person, but by the way she was leading the Eagle along he could think her no one else.
"Good to see you, quickly, follow me, we'll get your friend fixed up in no time."
He hurried over to a building across the street, it was empty and the door was hanging slightly off the hinges. The Heron knew that he didn;t have much time, but he had come early enough to get things set up ahead of time. On the upstairs landing there was a small fire going in an empty oven, a pot of water boiling on it. Beside it was a small black bag and a stool.
Looking over his shoulder, lowering his wing, he waited for the others to follow...his chest hurt...he needed to get this finished fast...

Eilwyn was terrified of the sudden voice that came out of seemingly nowhere. It was a man... and that was about all he could gather. He obviously knew Elyse's name, but beyond that they didn't seem to know each other. What the hell had Elyse been doing? And why was she very much stepping on his feet?
The eagle gave a slight dismayed chirp as Elyse recovered and he was pulled along. She was careful and everything, but Eilwyn didn't like this at all. He wanted to know what was going on and he wanted to know now. There was a disadvantage to all of this though. The fact that Eilwyn was in a completely strange place, blind, and that Elyse was the only one who could help him get back to the proper part of the City.
He really should have thought this through. He didn't and now he was very much stuck with a stranger and a friend in some creepy place.

She jumped a little, falling backwards into Eilwyn and not so gently stepped on his feet, when the stranger seemingly jumped out from the alleyway.
“I – I am sorry?” She replied a little fazed by the fact that he seemed to know her and her request. After a moment of taking in his appearance though she realized that he must have been the person she had been seeking out.
Still a little confused by all that was going on, she kept a firm yet gentle hold on Eilwyn’s hand and patting his arm tried to calm his fright. “It’s okay. This is the person we are looking for. We are going to follow him, okay?” Before her friend could return an answer the Heron had already taken off.
Following him across the street to the seemingly vacant building she guided the eagle behind her. As they reached the second landing she took in the arrangement the heron had apparently set up with interested eyes.

Temmin suddenly realized that he had failed to introduce himself...damn limited time schedules, they always caused him to be impolite on some level.
"Please excuse me, I am Temmin. Good to meet the both of you and sorry for my hurry...I'm in a bit of a time crunch, but we'll soon have you shipshape, won't we, sir?"
He sat down and pulled the black bag to him, diving through the utensils and pulling out a small thin box of scalpels, some needles and thread, and a tiny black box. This he held tightly for a moment, grinning.
"I made certain that they would be kept fresh, this little box is something I created myself to keep things cold, see?"
He opened it and proffered the box contents to the Mouse mix. Inside was a layer of satin and a clear plastic bag...inside of that were two blue eyes, nerves trailing from them as they lay pitifully on the ice.
"I made sure to get blue like you said miss, and if you're ready then I am. Sir? If you could sit down right where I'm tapping my talon, I can administer the sedatives."
The tone of his voice was cheery, but there was a slight uncertainty to it. He would need to leave soon, he just hoped it wouldn't start during the poor Eagle's operation...

Eilwyn wanted to bolt. There was something in that tone of voice that made him uneasy. Not to mention all the lovely sounds that were coming from every which way. His heart was pounding as he moved to where the tapping sound was.
Elyse better know who she's dealing with. Good lord. He knew he was getting new eyes, but from the sound of it was as if they were taking his current eyes out first. Wait.... wait. That couldn't be what they were doing? They wouldn't do something like that would they?
"Uh, excuse me, but, could you explain what exactly you're planning to do? No one gave me any details beyond that I was going to get my sight back," Eilwyn said weakly. Of course, Eilwyn had already assumed the worse, therefore his heart was pounding at a rather alarming rate, and he was very close to passing out.
Elyse. Oh, she wouldn't put him in harms way on purpose, but would she do it accidentally?
