Dilis settled down in the quietest spot she could find.. quiet for Capital City was unfortunately not all that quiet. Every day she came here and every day she tried so desperately to get through her book. She had a short attention span though, it seemed and she always got distracted by the people walking by. Today was unfortunately no different and before she knew it, she was staring into the crowd again. People just interested her; their interactions, they things they said… it intrigued her. It may have been because of her isolation at home, the residents of her region were all strangers, friends were none. Ah well, it didn’t matter so much now as she had sat in her favorite spot. It was by a tree across from the dress shop, there she could daydream about one day getting higher-end dresses like she had always wanted. Maybe someday she would get her pearls as well, it was a silly frivolous thought but it settled her.

Souris, dashed past, making a direct beeline for Cauter's, and nearly knocked into the Avington by an oak. She picked herself up carefully, stopping to make sure the Avington was alright. The feline did seem to be in one piece, she considered, her head on one side, debating whether or not to go closer. The Avington feline did seem to be alright, and she was in a hurry. Cauter wouldn't be going anywhere, but Souris couldn't help but rush. Having finally made up her mind, she wanted to contact Cauter immediately. Before she changed it again. And yet... She edged closer, cautiously. The Avington seemed to be staring out into the crowd. Was that normal behavior for a Avington feline? Or had she actually knocked the creature silly? She stepped closer still, a small frown furrowing her brow, as she tried to puzzle out the feline's behaviour. She had places to go, people to see, but this Avington feline was simply bewildering. Was she or was she not alright?

Dilis was knocked out of her dreaming by a… rodent. She looked up and saw it, looking at her. At least she had the courtesy to see if I was alright… I suppose
It seemed to Dilis that she looked scared of her? Perhaps she was just being silly, she’d never met anyone who was cautious around her. Dilis was physically fine, it was the rodent she had wondered about.
“Oh my, are you alright? Where are you rushing off to? You might hurt someone if you aren’t careful.” She had never met a rodent before, but she had a feeling they were all like this. She seemed the type to be terribly rude without meaning to. However, she was still concerned that she may have hurt herself. Was she… frowning at me? Oh God, what do I do Dilis thought on it for a second and then got up.
“Why are you in such a hurry?” Dilis asked.

Anatolius was absolutely basking in the warm afternoon air, delighting in the feel of the sunlight soaking into his brilliant fur and looking forward to a day of just lazing about and enjoying himself. When the sun was up, Tolis was technically off duty and free to do as he pleased. Sleep through the mornings, laze about during the afternoon, and work all night... Not that he disliked work or anything, it was actually one of the best parts of his day. Anatolius usually liked to surround himself with company and beautiful woman, or men for that matter, but for now he was content in his solitude. Or, so he thought. From out of nowhere he was halted by an abrupt clash of sound, color and movement. A lovely Yarrow Garden's mouse had just nearly collided with a little Avington feline and they appeared to be in some sort of disagreement now. Well, of course, Anatolius would not be all to happy if he'd been run over either. Giving a jovial little hop, the brightly colored canine bounced over and inserted himself quite obnoxiously into the situation. "'Ello ladies! Everything alright over here?"

(Thank you, Vyn! This makes things much more interesting.)
Souris hid her pique at the Morganberry's intrusion behind a sweet smile. She was glad to have some Card to put between her and the feline, who was overwhelming. The Avington had a unfortunate tendency to talk too much, too fast. Which she disliked, intensely.
"Hello, m'sieur." She greeted him winningly,"I was just en route to the Bazaar", answering the feline's earlier question, but the quiet invitation in her soft tones was entirely for the Morganberry, for the fiery color of his fur and long bushy tail did much to redeem his singularly unwarranted interruption in her eyes.
She all but ignored the Avington's anxious questioning. She saw no need to explain the contacts, the knowledge and the items that she hoped to gain at Cauter's. Those were her own personal affairs, and she most certainly didn't want this extremely inquisitive feline prying into everything. She did, however, stop to assure the other female,"I'm alright", subtly trying to discourage further questions.

Dilis snorted at Souris, Some people... can't understand kindness when they receive it I suppose She turned her nose up the rodent and turned to speak to the newcomer.
"It would seem everything is alright. However, this... rodent was about to crash into me. I simply inquired as to whether she was alright but she doesn't seem like she wishes to be cordial. I do however appreciate you stopping you check on us." She flashed her best smile at him, hoping he wouldn't leave her alone with the rat.
"I'm sorry, I almost forgot myself; my name is Dilis, what is yours sir?" She asked to prolong the conversation and also to keep him around longer, he seemed nice enough. A bit forward but these days she was getting used to that. "I had planned on enjoying my book this evening until I had to return home but I would welcome your company for a bit, if you'd like." She was by no means a seductress, she just genuinely enjoyed people paying attention to her.

Anatolius nearly laughed aloud as he realized the ladies were all butt fighting for his attention. Both seemed to have lost interest in each other and were now trying to forge up conversations with him. He glanced between the two, sizing up his company. One was a gorgeous Yarrow girl and the other was a very pretty Avington and due to dynamic differences in their personalities, neither of them seemed the sort to get along. Oh great, this was going to be an interesting conflict of opinions.
"Then I'm glad to hear you're both alright." He grinned charmingly at lovely Yarrow rodent, arching a brow. "Wouldn't want something to happen to such lovely ladies." His attention slid back onto the feline. "It's lovely to meet you, Dilis... I'm Anatolius." He bowed his head in greeting before rising and glancing to the rat once more. "And you are, lovely?"
Now if he could just find a way to have them both get along, then he could very well be in for a very interesting afternoon complete with two lovely ladies and a possible customer.

The mouse narrowed her eyes slight, not liking the way the Avington turned her nose up at her. Nor the way she was attempting to engage the Morganberry in conversation, especially when Dilis attempted to snub her.
She didn't even deign to answer the snub, merely correcting her,"We do appreciate you taking the time to stop and check on us," flashing her own smile in the general direction of the Morganberry, and allowing the Avington feline's invitation to stand. Her forwardness would only serve as a contrast to her subtlety.
She blinked at the patronizing answer the canine gave, and fought the urge to snarl. He could be a charming rogue when he wanted, but that did not excuse the disrespectful attitude he displayed towards two females. But to snarl now would be to allow Dilis to come off well-mannered, so she swallowed her pride for the moment, reining in her anger and met his eyes directly, "Souris" she said softly, deliberately drawing out the syllables carefully. Idly wondering if, Dilis was mature enough to understand the canine's attitude.
The combined attention was going to his head.

Dilis was quite displeased about Anatolius’ attention to the rat. She was more refined and couth than her, why was he bothering to talk to her! The rat didn’t seem to want Dilis around but she was not about to give up the attention so easy.
“It is nice to meet you as well Anatolius.” It looked as though he was pondering something as he kept looking back at her and then the rat. He seemed the type to want to keep the peace but Dilis had tried that and the rat wasn’t having it. She couldn’t tell if it was because she genuinely didn’t like her or… what the problem was really..
She was however, amused at the game this rat seemed to be playing. Dilis had heard of Yarrow Garden residents but she had always been told they disliked men and had a tendency to be nicer to women; she didn’t understand. She didn’t think she had been rude but perhaps she had.

Well, damn! What had he gone and gotten himself into?! Sparks were flying on either side of him as the girls bristled for his attention, all but swatting at each other in order to isolate Anatolius for their own means. His smile remained true, however, because years of selling himself had taught him to contain his displeasure for all sorts of things... This was not typically one of those things he had to deal with, however, but he would try his best...for as long as his temper held out.
"Dilis, Souris... It's a pleasure to meet you the both." He put heavy emphasis on the word, trying to show that he was going to be amiable to both ladies and not seperate them... Not to say that a time out wouldn't be a wonderful idea right about then. "Well, ah... Were you in a hurry to be somewhere, Souris? If not, the three of us could spend some leisure time together, yeah? It's my day off and I was looking forward to a pleasurable afternoon and some company, especially company as beautiful as you two ladies, would be quite appreciated."
