Souris stilled inwardly, unhappy. Reluctant to listen to the feline as she was, manners dictated that she could not dispute that the canine had a right to greet feline and vermin both. She could not dispute that, not when he was finally beginning to show both females the appropiate amount of courtesy.
So she flashed a smile, and said nothing, letting his words slide.
Then the canine had nerve to reprimind her for being in a hurry. Souris sighed quietly, a soft exhalation, and reminded herself that he was a male, and as such, could not be expected to know better. But, being reminded, the mouse hesitated a moment, playing with the idea. She really needed to get to Cauter.
But, she did not like the presumptuous way he had just reminded her that she was supposed to be elsewhere. She would stay, she decided, smiling brillantly at Anatolius,"Not at all, M. Anatolius. I would be delighted to accompany Dilis and yourself."
She did not look forward to having to tolerate Dilis' questions, but prehaps, with the canine around, the feline would reroute her questions in his direction, after her abrupt answers. "What do you work as?" she asked Anatolius conversationally, following up the opening he'd left when he'd stated that this was his day off, calmly accepting his compliment as her due.

Dilis would try if the rat would try, she wasn't so stubborn as to make another person unhappy. "I have absolutely nothing to do until tonight so I would be very happy to have your company... both of you. I do however have to be leaving before nightfall as father will be expecting me."
The rat did not seem happy about Dilis speaking to her however, she could work around that; she was being terribly rude anyway. Dilis wasn't used to such behavior as she had been brought up having to have the best of manners. To have someone snip at her was just unthinkable when she had taken the courtesy to see that she was alright. It befuddled Dilis, I guess not everyone was raised the same as I. At that moment she loved her father more and more for making her who she was.
"Anatolius-Oh,i'm sorry.... can I call you that? I really don't mean to be forward... I just wondered If you might show me around a bit. I haven't really been anywhere in town, I usually just sit at this tree and read." Dilis looked up at him with her big blue eyes, hoping that he would oblige and that he would show her more than that.

Anatolius had reprimanded no one, it simply wasn't his way. No, he preferred the lead the conversation, sliding it along more comfortable topics. It was what he had, at least, been hoping for... Instead it only seemed as if he'd insulted Souris even more. Her body was tight with displeasure and her words were quite short, but he pushed on.
When Dilis alerted him that she would have to leave before nightfall, he nodded his head and smiled handsomely. It would perhaps be best. She seemed a little naive, he wasn't about to take advantage of a sheltered little thing like her. No, perhaps he could have Souris accompany for some of his night then?
"Ah, ladies... Please, call me what you will. An, Tolius... I've gotten Lius as well. None bother me. Could even make your own, if you will."
He kept an obliviously cheerful attitude, as if he lacked any awareness of the friction around him. His tail was wagging smoothly from side to side, brushing the lovely ladies on either side of him. Souris's question would be somewhat awkward to answer but he pranced about it with his usual ease.
"Lets just say, I work the red light district." He gave a soft laugh and a casual grin, trying to avoid being vulgar for the ladies sake but still quite obviously unaffected by his line of work. "Of course I can show you around, miss Dilis...and, I hope, keep it interesting enough for keep you entertained as well, Souris."

Souris bit back the snide remarks that came automatically to her tongue, especially at the way the Avington feline was looking up at him with her big blue eyes. Instead, she forced herself to focus on developing the conversation, building on the meager topics already in discussion.
"Thank you."she said, at his invitation to change his name to suit her tastes. She recognized the invitation, and the intimacy offered. She immediately named him,"Lias", a soft, teasing smile on her lips. Familiar because he'd already had that name, but distinctive from Lius.
"Adult entertainment,"She supplied, tongue in cheek, for Anatolius, as she worked out his occupation, hampered by his tail, which was distracting her quite badly. If a mouse could purr, she would have. Smooth even sweeps up and down, the feel of fur against fur teased at her senses.
"I'd love to accompany you while you show Dilis around." She managed, barely. The tour would allow her to better familiarize herself with Capital City.
If she could focus.

(I'm using the time bracelet I got from the raffle a bit ago. It basically gives me the ability to go back 5 minutes in time and the only person who remembers what happens is the User- Dilis)
Oh dear, Souris was a disagreeable one. Dilis had simply wanted to enjoy the day and perhaps take in the sights but the rat seemed to want only to bring her down. She was also flirting shamelessly with An and that had bothered Dilis a bit. She loved when men gave her attention.. she had no choice it would seem...
Well, perhaps I will have to use this bracelet after all... She'd been given a bracelet with the ability to go back in time a few minutes and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Dilis slipped the bracelet on and waited for the effects.
Everything seemed to go in reverse, An walked back to where he was earlier and Souris ran back to where she was before she ran into Dilis. She also had found herself sitting underneath the tree, book in hand.
Nows my chance. Dilis giggled and ran into Anatolius, almost knocking him over in the process. (back in present time) "Oh dear! I am so terribly sorry, I hadn't seen you there...."

Time had swept back. Stolen the words from Anatolius's mouth and reset everything to mere moments before the collision between the Yarrow Garden rat and the Avington feline, to before Anatolius had strode over to investigate.
It placed the handsome Club back in the brilliant sunlight as he strolled casually through the city. His eyes had closed for a moment as he soaked in the afternoon warmth, his tail wagging from side to side, before he abruptly felt something collide with his side. He grunted, stumbling back a pace or two before he squared his shoulders and stopped the movement. He was sleek but he was still stronger than the feline which had crashed into him.
"O!" He blinked in surprise and then broke into a large smile. "It's no big deal, really! Accidents happen all the time." He laughed aloud. "If I hadn't been standin' about smellin' the the flowers I would've seen you coming. Should've been watching out for others around me."

(Blame this post on my furry dice of doom. ) Souris, dashed past (again), making a direct beeline for Cauter's, but fiery colors, reflected in the sunlight, blinded her. She averted her eyes, turning her head to avoid the brilliance, and misjudged her direction. She fought to slow her momentum, throwing herself into an awkward stop, right next to the source. A Morganberry canine. She blinked, her vision slowly taking in the red, yellow and orange fur, sleek body & bushy tail, before she raised an absent gaze to the face, a lovely, vacant smile gracing her expression. "Pardon!" she excused herself to him bemusedly, peering curiously at the Avington feline with him. "Hello,"she greeted both Cards evenly, "m'sieur"addressing the canine, "m'selle" and the feline together smoothly, deliberately letting her gaze linger on the canine, as she went on to apologize for the near-accident. "I'm sorry", she said, explaining that the sunlight had blinded her vision, unwilling to blame the Morganberry's brightly colored coat. Better that he should think that the sunlight was the culprit.

Dilis was kind of glad she and the handsome canine collided again. He was big, strong, handsome and could probably take care of her... she liked that. Of course, she liked it. She wouldn't have gone to the trouble of turning back the clock if she didn't want another shot at him. Silly Dilis. She laughed to herself and spoke to him.
"Well I think that bumping into you so fiercely warrants you knowing who I am. My name is Dilis." She ringed her wrists nervously in reply to his kindness. Normally if she'd barreled into any other person, they would have chewed her out by now. But not this man... he seemed kinder. Gentler would be a better word. Of course, now she had another chance to get to know him better thanks to her bracelet.
However, just as she was getting comfy a rat went whizzing by and stopped immediately in front of them. "Hello, how are you" she smiled at the newcomer. Oh dear, nows my chance to make it different!

Anatolius had just barely gotten over the surprise of the feline stumbling into him when, from out of nowhere, a lovely mouse from the Garden nearly collided with him as well! He let out a startled yelp and hopped back a pace, luckily catching this one not so off guard and managing to avoid a true collision. He blinked, shaking his head to clear the surprise away.
Gee, he should have been considering himself lucky, what with two lovely ladies slamming into him mere moments apart, but instead he was merely in baffled surprise. Where were all these girls coming from? Should he look out for ones falling from above soon as well?!
He cleared his throat slightly, regaining his charming composure. "Ah, it's quite alright, miss! As I was telling Miss Dilis here, accidents happen all the time!" He grinned at them both, the expression absently quite wolfish. "My name is Anatolius and it's a pleasure to meet you both, though...may I catch your name, miss?" The last comment was directed at the newcomer, who he couldn't help but give a once over. A friendly girl from the Garden? Rare indeed! He'd have to keep his eye on her.
