Fluffy slowly melted into the affection and nosed at her owner's neck, then settled into a tucked laying down position, quite the feline pose, with her nose just resting against Xiven's paws where she sat. Whatever the reason, the hurting was over and her owner had said 'Sorry' and it was fine again. Whenever she said that, she always said it affectionately, so it was a good word. For whatever reason, the woman hurting her had made her owner say it, so things were okay again.
She just wished the woman would go away, with her nasty-smelling painful things.
Instead, Xiven seemed to want to talk to the woman. Sigh. The Highland-mix put herself on autopilot and ignored the woman.
When they got home, would 'Sorry' get her something tasty? It had once or twice before and she wasn't sure why, but she certainly wasn't going to complain. And they kept talking about Mommy Peaches, so would her owner's mommy be showing up sometime? She could only guess.
