The mouse found himself wondering, in passing, that if it was not the equine was not the one who had fed himself poison then just who was it that was the psycho. Shaking his head to clear it of the ponderings, it was too much for his drunk mind to decipher, he turned his attention back to what was easier to understand.
“With a response like that how can you not be the one who is – at lest a little – psycho? What would be the point behind causing such pain and suffering of a friend,” he returned the sarcasm, “if you only intend to let them live. Surely there must be more ways that are more fun for yourself.
At the horse’s comment at his appreantly twice *!&ed tail he found himself becoming angry once again. His tail was not twice *&ed, it was once blessed, thank you very much.

Shinrai sent the mouse a droll look. The man's morbid side was coming out. Blatantly. "At this point," he said flatly. "I think causing you pain and suffering is a great idea. Perhaps it'll help you get your act together."
His tail lashed in frustration at this situation. He needed to get Aderlass sober and home; how in the world should he do that? The horse took a few deep, steadying breaths. He had to keep a hold of his temper because he certainly couldn't trust the Morganberry to do so right now.
"Look, let's just get out of here," the stallion finally said, though a glance proved that perhaps that wouldn't work. There was a set to the other man's job that simply did not bode well. He gave a mental sigh. Why did things always have to be so difficult?

“I do not need any of your help.” The mouse retorted angrily.
The constant change in conversation had caused his intoxicated brain to not be able to keep up with the flow in conversation and he wondered if he would even be able to recall a lot of what they had talked about in the morning.
Oh Suits, he moaned to himself. He was so not looking forward to the morning. With the drinks no longer coming when he finally managed to sober up he was going to have the Realm’s biggest headache. That was something he was definitely not looking forward too.
Following that line of thought an image of Minh came to mind. Giving another moan he wanted to fall to the floor in defeat. That was yet another thing he had failed at. How was he seriously going to recover? So many people he had failed, so many people . . .
At the equine’s words: "Look, let's just get out of here," the mouse gave a shaky sigh. Well #!&@^ it. From the equine’s sincere words about feeding him poison it did not seem like he had much of an option.

Aderlass moaned, but it didn't seem to be one of complete avoidance as some of the earlier interactions had been. Rai took it as agreement to come learn to be sober again-- and give his freakin' liver a break. Fairly certain that the mouse would give him no further trouble, well, other than the obvious need to keep him upright until they could get back to one of the houses, Rai stepped to the side to swiftly locate the dragon-headed cane.
Lying in the middle of the street, Rai picked it up as he began to whistle softly. He twirled the cane-- it was more like a baton in his hands-- and quickly caught up with his weaving friend. He lent a steady arm as they began wot would be quite the long trek home. But, he had successfully accomplished his mission and had not come out of it with any scars. This had been a good endeavour.
