A four legged figure entered the pub with her head held high and her tail as well and she just simply oozed with confidence. Her delightful fuchsia fur was mildly scruffy but in a way that seemed only to complement the girl's bold nature. Most of her fairly short blue mane fell over to one side and was just long enough to block a solitary, crystalline visionary from view. Her frame was lean, and her markings denoting her as a forest dweller, or a past forest dweller to be perfectly precise. In her old home the canine had simply been to much for her fellow foresters to handle and thus she left for bigger and better things.... and had discovered this place in the process. Alona had become regular here and wasn't surprised to find that the tender tonight was one she'd spoken to probably a dozen times. She padded casually over and hopped up onto a stool and gave the man behind the counter a devilish little grin and when she spoke her voice was rather low, but held a very feminine chime to it. Gimme the usual, you know I can handle it! She chuckled as the bar tender rolled his eyes and went about fixing her drink, which was, indeed, a rather manly drink at that. And, while she waited to be served, she took the time to look out through the crowd. It was busy tonight, and she liked it that way. It made it easier to find a bit of company, whether the other party wanted it or not, and that's exactly what she had found to. She turned, threw a few coins upon the table and downed the drink in a single shot and smacked her lips to show her appreciation before hopping off of the stool and making a bee line to the delightful stranger she'd spotted before. Why hello there!

The sparrow poked at his drink. His date hadn't shown up, which he had half expected. Ezekiel could have picked up any other man if he had the desire to. He didn't feel like being sexy tonight. His brother had decided to become a Jack, his sister was going to become a King, his other brother had taken a liking to wandering, his other sister was happy being a homemaker for now. Eilwyn was still pretty young. That left Ez and his goals. Go into courts, become a Jack, and find a Sugar Daddy. It was all a matter of time before he actually going to go through with it. Tonight, however, he had no agenda and felt like drinking a beer in silence, without company. But things never did go the way he wanted. He raised an eyebrow as the stranger happily addressed the person besides him. Someone from the forest? Another person who wasn't snooty as hell? There seemed to be a lot of those Foresters running around. "What on earth is someone as happy as you doing in a bar like this one?" Ez found himself saying with a raised brow.

The one she'd initially spoken to ignored her with a huff and a turn of the head, which she promptly countered in a rather juvenile way, sticking her tongue out at him. Yes, she was indeed a pretty little thing, but she certainly didn't act like a lady. And besides, that was a rather rude thing to do! If he'd only said a hello, or a leave me alone she would have left it at that. However, instead of pestering the man like she'd wanted to, her attention was drawn to one whom she hadn't even noticed to begin with as, after her brief first inspection, he'd been deemed a she and those were far less enjoyable to taunt.
What an odd, delightful stranger this one seemed to be! Certainly a cross dresser would prove to be more entertaining then some stuffy old man, yes? Instantly her cheer seemed to be restored and she turned in her seat, giving the lakeland avian a rather devilish grin.
Ignorance, booze and the occasional stranger, how about you there, lad, don't see many of your sort around here either.
She looked down at his glass and clicked her tongue in a mild scolding.
Boy, you'll need something harder then that! Let me treat you to something I can guarantee'll lay your woes and wandering thoughts to rest!
She'd never admit to being an alcoholic, but she'd tried just about every drink imaginable and at the rate she was going, she'd bee a candidate for meetings soon enough.

"A transvestite is more common than a happy person in a bar. Especially when the transvestite can pick up unsuspecting men." In all truth and honesty Ez was rather disappointed about his recent conquest who had stood him up. The sparrow also wasn't inclined to getting drunk with a woman tonight. He didn't feel like topping in the social or sexual sense.
He took a sip of his beer. "If I wanted hard stuff I would be sulking in a nightclub." The sparrow wasn't about to accept a drink from a stranger who just randomly walked over. For all he knew she would slip something in his drink when he wasn't looking. He'd seen what happened to some people, and he didn't want to end up vulnerable. "If you're looking for ignorance you just need to walk outside. If you're looking for boozes that's about the only thing you'll get here that's useful. If you're looking for strangers, well you can find them anywhere. So being in a bar to be friendly is a bad idea, and don't call me boy."

The red mouse entered the pub in his bipedal form. He was looking for some entertainment tonight, not just a good drinking session. Entering the pub he glanced around to see if he could spot someone he knew. He knew he would not find Minh here, considering he had left her at her home with Mnem when he had discovered that she was going through another grouchy-preggers bout. Spotting a familiar avian form he made his way over towards the counter. Discovering that it was indeed the someone he had thought, he reacted on impulse. Draping his arms over the bird’s shoulders, he brought his face down towards his ear. “Hello there, love” He whispered in a deep tone, though he meant for the bird he said it loud enough for the female to overhear. “It has been a while. Have you missed me?” He gave a grin to the female, hoping to make her jealous. Sensing that his friend was a little tenser then usual he gently began to massage his shoulders adding a little bit of heat, though just enough to make it feel nice, while his face still lay near the male’s throat. The two of them would go drinking every now and then, often sharing each others company more intimately afterwards. With Minh being pregnant though, he had not been out and about as much.

Ez didn't expect to meet anyone he knew here. He especially didn't expect to meet his dear interesting mouse friend Aderlass. Well, that just made things better and brighter didn't it? If Ez could purr, he would have. He couldn't make the sound however.
The sparrow's wings twitched happily at the massage. The heat in particular was quite refreshing. "My, my, my, I didn't expect you to come around here. I thought you were stuck at home?" He grinned at the other male. He reached up and place his hands on Aderlass'. "Why don't you take a seat and join me eh? Lucky for you my recent boyfriend stood me up."
And lucky for this lovely lady that there was someone around to cheer Ez up. Otherwise he would have been a whiny bitch the rest of the night. The sparrow crossed his legs with a happy chirp and waved over one of the barmaids to get a drink.

“Anything for you, love.” he replied taking the empty seat besides Ez, though he kept his hands still on the birds shoulders gently massaging.
“Minh is having another bout of moodiness, so I thought that I would come out and find some fun. The new one stood you up, huh? Well he does not know wot fun he missed out on.” The mouse winked at him. He remembered well the fun the two of them had had after a good night drinking, or at least as much one usually remembered. Though he could not say that he personally would be free to enjoy such pleasurable evenings again.
When the waitress came over he let his male friend order his drink, he was sure the avian knew which it was. When she had left with their order he leaned in against Ez’s back, looking over his shoulder. “Who is this, love?” He inquired, before nibbling gently and playfully on the bird’s neck.

She arched a brow at the avian, and had she been any other type she might've taken offense to the response she'd gotten. However, she just let it slide, he'd seemed a bit down to begin with. No big deal right? She was about to mutter some form of apology when a stranger arrived on the scene, a stranger that she had to admit was rather eye catching. And not only because he was so brightly colored.
His sudden advancement struck her as somewhat odd at first, and then it hit her that the two must known each other, a fact which was swiftly confirmed by their conversation and the obvious comfort with the closeness. Perhaps they'd been something more in the past? She wondered, but she wouldn't ask, at least not just yet.
The rodent's intention on making her jealous worked to an extent, it'd been awhile since she'd spent a night with a man, or a woman for that matter.... it didn't really matter to her. It also brought her down a bit because she didn't really have any friends here in the city and the two before her were making it painfully clear. She enjoyed the company of others, but perhaps tonight she'd end up being a third wheel? Only time would tell.
And that's when the barmaid arrived and her appearance certainly rejuvenated the canine. And, as most f the staff tonight did, she obviously recognized the canine once she pulled her eyes away from Ez and Aderlass.
You know what I like, m'dear.
And she flashed the girl a toothy smile before her ears twitched at the rodent's voice, which brought her attention back to the two.
The name's Alona, and what might the names be of the two fine gentleman sitting before me? (( sorry, work's been eating my muse, and my free time... x.o))

“Alona, huh? It is a pleasure to meet you I am sure.” He gave her a good looking over in a way that was anything but sexual, taking in her short mane and colors. She was a cute thing.
“I am sorry to say that I have not seen you around here before, well at least in any manner of remember such an encounter.” Usually when he came here he had one thing on his mind, so there was always a chance he had just missed the feline. Getting drunk to forget haunting memories often left a person forgetting around them as well.
“There here is my friend, Ezekiel. As for myself, I am Aderlass.” He rested his hand on the birds shoulder when he introduced him, and as he introduced himself he sat back, sitting up straight, his right paw coming to rest besides the ‘J’ that was his chest.

"It's nice to meet you, and most people call me Ez. Don't let that stop you from being different," The sparrow said with a wave of his hand. He looked back to the mouse. Ez's eyes widened when he caught sight of the mouse's rank.
"Everyone is beating me to Jack! I barely make it to Ten and you, my brother and my sister manage to beat me! Congratulations though," Ez said with a bit of a smirk as he tapped the mouse on the nose. "I'm still jealous, but I can't not be happy for you. I guess this means I get to buy you a few drinks. I suppose we get to share with our new company herm?" The sparrow looked over at the Forest Dweller. He still wasn't sure what to think about the cheery female. Why on earth was she in the bar if she was so happy and not looking to snag a one night stand?
