Minh stiffened minutely, forcing a laugh in what she hoped was a startled/amused enough manner that Aderlass wouldn't think to question her about her momentary lapse of relaxed good humor.
"No boyfriends, no. Though I do have a rather detestable habit of going out on the weekends, liquoring it up, and boinking anything on four legs. Wait. That's Mnem."
She laughed a little more freely, and hoped the incident would pass without comment.
There was really no reason to lie about the mysterious, unconscious youth she'd liberated from thugs several days ago--or the fact that she'd taken him to her loft, where she was currently nursing him back to health. Somehow, though, Minh had the feeling Aderlass wouldn't react overly well to the boy's presence--not many people were overly understanding when it came to Aces, and the fact that he'd somehow obtained human form was... unsettling.
Of course, if she were honest, that wasn't the only reason Aiolos would remain her secret, for now.
She burrowed deeper into Aderlass' side, and jumped on the next train of thought, "I got a letter from Court, today."

Helena knew how to watch people. She did it all the time. Then usually she followed them, but it started as watching. Out her own window, in through their windows, down the street and in shops and here and there and everywhere. She had even gotten quite good at popping out of nowhere and surprising people with hugs. They didn't seem to appreciate it nearly as much as they should.
So, in spite of the negative aspirations Se had painted on Eir's character, Helena decided that people watching would be fun for a while. Maybe they would find someone interesting to follow. Maybe they would look over their shoulders and into Helena's eyes and know that it was true and everlasting love, and whisk her away to the Highlands and have a garden where they grew babies and on warm summer nights she could just curl up next to her charming prince and smell his hair.
"Okay!" she told Se. "Where do you want to watch from?"
___
Eir looked thoughtfully at Hadyn and Ira. Wanted it to be just right, eh? They could make it better than just right. They could make it perfect. Capital City and many of the realms of the world had pushed into the age of electricity, but not everyone could afford to have it (they still used old-fashioned lamps), and many larger institutions had yet to make the transition (many street lights, especially in the more grungy parts of town, were not electric). That meant that the market was still large for the more primitive forms of power. Which meant that this little trio had a way to make a very impressive explosion indeed.
"There's a warehouse nearby," he said suddenly, voice low with happy malevolence. "They have tons of kerosene. If we can get that in the park, we can blow this place all to hell."

Mnem considered Darrien carefully. He really was a sweetheart. Not that she would ever mention that to anyone. And he was offering to get her away from her spawn, and there was no way she was going to pass up that opportunity. She still hadn't figured out how her body had managed to betray her by choosing to incubate seven unholy monsters instead of, say, none. She blamed this on Shinrai.
She thought wistfully for a moment of her child-free days. Filled with drinking, sex, manipulating and plants. It was still filled with largely the same things, but now there was a lot of yelling and headaches and wishing she had just grown a backbone and ingested that very slightly poisonous plant that might have accidentally made the children go bye-bye.
"That sounds like a lovely idea," Mnem said, rising. She glanced over at Shinrai. He was still talking to his new bird friend. She didn't want to interrupt, naturally. That would be rude. Best just to go, then. "I don't think think Shinrai will mind looking after his children for a little while. Let's be off, darling."

Happy that Elyse was going with him, Iphis began to make his way to Daddy and his brother and their new friends. Vishne was, for reasons Iphis could not comprehend, usually mopey and not very fun to be around. And he had once told Iphis that his dolls were really creepy, which wasn't very nice at all. Elyse appreciated them, though. He had always made friends with girls more easily than boys, for some reason.
When they had made their way over, Iphis grinned merrily at them. "Hi!" he said. "I'm Iphis. And this is Elyse. And this," he said, waving his dolly at them, "is Clara. We're all very happy to meet you!"

If Minh had tense up, it probably went unnoticed under his caressing hands, or was simply shrugged off as a shiver.
“A letter? Really?” He tried to hide most of his excitement while still sounding happy for her. It really did make him feel proud that she was showing some sign of interest in their court, especially with the plans he had in mind for himself. He did not want to push her into anything that she would resent or hate him for later, though. In the end, this all had to be her decision . . . though a little convincing every now and then before hand did not do any harm either. “Wot did the court have to say?”
--
At being introduced by Iphis, Elyse gave a small curtsy that probably looked more like a bob then anything else. “Nice to met you.” She greeted.

Minh hummed in way of confirmation, "I'm not exactly sure. It was just an invitation to come in and discuss my 'advancement'. I have an appointment with Her Highness Anoushka tomorrow in the early afternoon."
She knew Aderlass would be pleased if she entered the courts--ecstatic, really--but she wasn't sure how she felt about the whole thing. Becoming involved with the royalty would mean having to abide to a whole new set of rules, and she wasn't keen on restrictions.
"Would you mind watching the kids? I'll make sure to leave you the extra fire extinguisher," she winked.
Stretching against him, she relaxed with a sigh, "So what have you been up to lately, darling? Anything interesting?"
She watched with no small amount of interest as Mnem wandered off rather unsubtly with Darrien. She glanced at Shinrai and wondered what his reaction would be, if any. He still hadn't admitted that he loved the wily canine, but Minh was sure it would only be a matter of time before he came to terms with his feelings.
---
They had been taking turns walking by the building unobtrusively in an effort to scope out security, while the rest of them hid in the bushes. Besides one lone inventor--a rather nice man; Hadyn had a rather pleasant conversation with him when he made the circuit--the warehouse was virtually empty.
They hunkered down to argue over strategy, and Hadyn asked what he felt was a rather pertinent question, "How much can you guys carry?"
Depending on their answers, he would have to plan the execution of their little endeavor around the amount of kerosene they managed to tote away. And he wasn't certain they would be able to come back for a second load.

She had done it! She had finished her quest and mommy dearest was going to be proud of her. And probably curse her out, but that was okay. She knew the truth. Her mommy loved her. Mommy had one day called her away from her siblings and had said they were going to go for a walk. Upon the walk they had met with a large chicken who had been wearing a really interesting cloak. “Time to go with this nice man, Venka. You have been sold. Cope.” Which of course translated to her mother setting a quest for her, to see if she was strong enough to be her daughter. With that her mother had walked off. It had taken awhile but she had made it out, had run away from her new family, and was currently lost. Pausing when the road she was on split to join three others, she sat down on her hindquarters, looking around. This area almost looked familiar, glancing around she spotted a sign for the park. As good a direction as any, she thought to herself heading that way. Entering the Park she spotted her twin, Vishne. Not really caring who else was around she launched herself at her sibling, grabbing her brother. “VISHNE! I made it! Did you miss me!?”

Dark, Bee, Kasatsu, Sera, and Jag receive 2 tokens each, to be redeemed in Ashwin's Shoppe. This will automatically be added to your recorded totals in the shoppe. Congratulations, and keep up the good RP!

Darrien smiled as he also rose and offered his lady his arm. He always was amazed at how lovely she was. let us go any where you want to, its all on me as always and the cost is never a problem my love. He felts so special to have her next to him as he lead her away from the children and the park. All thought of his home town and his betrothed flew out of his head as he just indulged in the women's company. Though he was on the look out for one child in particular as they made their escape. If she saw them they might never get out of here...

The snapping of the stallions fingers made her jump slightly as she was deep in thought about alot of things. When he mentioned the shoppe where she had purchased her necklace she vaguely remembered the stallion and his purchase. "Yes I think that I remember as well" She could not tell him if she had received a good deal or not on her item as she was not skilled in the ways of haggling nor that things could cost alot less in shops other than Ashwin's. She did not really care about the effects of the necklace she wore. She just knew that she liked it and that she wanted to wear it around. "I honestly do not know if I got a good deal on it or not, but did you with yours?" She tilted her head and smiled.
Aeron on the other hand was thinking about what the young canine had said about his siblings being mean and unusual. He did not quite understand at such a young age that people could be different in a way that others would consider bad. He was different and every one just cooed and ogled him when ever he was in the shoppe helping Ashwin. "Why would they pick on yo..." he was interrupted by the girl who had flung herself on the canine. He took a step back when it happened and looked wide eyed at the pair.

It had been weeks since he'd last heard that voice and the same amount of time since that familiar weight had squished him. He really hated to be sat upon by his sister, but in this case, he gladly welcomed it. "Venka!!!!" Vishne twisted his head so he could stare happily up at his twin. "Where have you been?! Mom told Father you were at a camp." ----- "I did indeed," the stallion answered easily. "I've been well pleased with my purchase." There was no hint of the uneasiness that threatened him with those words. Occasionally he saw strange things, but he was still convince that it was just his imagination. Right? "I hope you've been equally pleased with your purchase?" he made it a question to try and encourage the woman to come out of her shell a bit more. She seemed... distracted.

Se thought about it for a few moments, then pointed towards the entrance to the street with one of his wings... and managing to smack Helena in the head. Oops. He muttered something that could almost be mistaken for an apology and then continued on as though it hadn't happened. "We can see all right from over there." And maybe they could eavesdrop a little on their father and whoever he was talking. He didn't recognize the woman and he didn't like his dad talking to people he didn't know, especially not ones that might be considered pretty. ----- Ira found the security rounds the most fun thus far, but now they were getting into manual labour and he found that much less interesting. Then again, Ira had always really enjoyed watching people. They made him hungry. "We're not Clubs," Ira pointed out, voice matter-of-fact. It didn't occur to him that Hearts might be 'better' than Clubs, especially since in this case it could be considered counting against their plans. Not that Ira -wanted- to carry more.
