“A sparrow, huh? That should be easy enough, I think. Now you just sit there and be patient, okay?” She nodded at him, not forgetting that he would not be able to see it, but just not taking it into consideration.
Holding the piece of marble she had selected in her hands, she rotated it slowly in her hands as if she were trying to roll it into a ball. As she did this she kept the image of a sparrow in her mind, forcing that image through her hands and into the marble. After a few more minutes she finally looked up, holding in her hands a small marble-figure of a sparrow.
Gently grabbing one of his wings so that she would not startle him, she placed her gift into his hands. “Well wot do you think?” She asked, her tone clearly holding her happiness at her accomplishment.

Eilwyn waited patiently until he felt the paw on his wing and the object in his hands. He felt it for a moment. It was marble wasn't it? It was cool and shaped like... a sparrow? He let out a happy chirp. What an amazing gift this girl had.
"Thank you," He said with a smile on his beak. He thought for a moment, it was very nice of her to do this. Maybe she should get something in return? That would be nice wouldn't it? "Can you get me a leaf or a twig and tell me your favorite animal? As long as I have a clear image of what you want in my mind I can make something for you. Though I can't promise it'll be as neat as this sparrow you've given me."
Even if he was blind he could still use his Jack power quite nicely. He remembered what things looked like, clear as a bell. Those images would never go away.

((Jags is still next if she wants to join <3, just thought that this might make it a little easier))
“Alright! You sit there okay and I will be right back!” She replied happily. She forced herself up in one spring, grabbing a hold of the eagle’s shoulder to help balance herself when she almost fell over from the momentum. Dusting herself off she gave him one parting smile before darting off towards a cluster of trees to the right of where they sat.
Too big . . . too wet . . . eek! A bug – cool She shuffled through the twigs on the ground, searching for the one that would be -just- perfect.
She was glad to have met this new friend. It was kind of sad that he had lost his sight, though it seemed that he did not mind it ever so much. As she worked she hummed softly to herself trying to think of what was her own favorite animal. She had not really given it any thought.

She had the day off from the job she had miraculously acquired and Maji wandered around the city as she usually did now. Aeron was pestering Ashwin to teach him about banders. It seemed that the child had also found an interest with the savage creatures. Maji knew that the child’s passion was not banders though. Since he was young, he always seemed distracted by music of any kinds. Unfortunately, since she was still gathering money to move out of Ashwin’s she could not afford to buy the boy a musical instrument so, thankfully he had the luck of being graced with a wonderful voice. Maji, despite being a bird had a horrid singing voice. Her wanderings and thoughts of her son brought her close to where her boss’ daughter was playing. She heard the soft voice of the child, looked around, and smiled when her eyes found the owner. She was a sweet child and it looked like she had found some one to play with today. He did not look familiar at all but she was not sure she liked the idea of the little girl playing alone with a stranger. Maji knew what kind of people lurked about and she shuttered slightly as she pushed away memories that she did not want to remember. She saw the child scamper away to find something in the brush and leaves and decided to take the chance to talk to the highland man. She walked over and looked at him with a turn of her head. Some thing was strange about him, but not in a threatening way. She cleared her throat and smiled. “Greetings, “she said sweetly.

Eilwyn jerked with surprise at the sudden announcement that someone was there. He had heard them walk over, but hardly expected them to speak to him. It was a woman, he knew that much. What she was or who she was he could never guess.
"Um... Hello Miss..." he said looking in her general direction. He wasn't good with this whole adult thing. They made him nervous. They were always so quick to judge and pity him. His family was different of course. "I'm sorry, is there something you want? If you want me to move or anything I will." He shifted his weight slightly. He had no idea who this woman was. He wasn't happy. She smelled somewhat of feathers, so there was a good chance of her being a bird, but weirder things had happened. Rocky smelt like feathers but he was a raccoon. This woman could easily be like him.
Being blind was so difficult.

(( ooc: I'm so sorry that it took me so long to respond to this, things have been very busy with getting settled in my new home and new city/town ))
That was strange he did not look straight at her like most people did when they spoke with her. Who was this man? He also appeared to be some what timid, why? He appeared to be younger than she was, almost to the point where he could have been a little brother and he was also an eagle like herself. She never really got the chance to talk to alot of the other avains around the city as she was always busy with work and Aeron. That was strange he did not look straight at her like most people did when they spoke with her. She tilted her head and she was slightly confused. Why would he ask if she wanted him to move? there was still plenty of room on the bench for another person to sit. "You do not have to move. I only saw my employer's daughter over here playing with you and decided to come and say hello to the both of you. I have not seen you around the shop, have you been in the city long?" Perhaps she was being too nosey, and perhaps she was being a bit of a mother figure when it came to the child but she could not help it, it just came natural to her.

Go away. Please just go away. Eilwyn tried not to shiver. He didn't like this woman and how nosy she was being. What did she really want? Why was she bothering him? Eilwyn wanted to bolt, but he couldn't. Being blind was like being in a constant cage covered with a black blanket. He really wished that Zane had let him take Fern. She would have solved the problem in about five minutes.
"I've lived here most of my life. Just don't go out alone very often," Eilwyn said as he looked down at his hands. Well, he wasn't looking at them really, he just didn't want to try and look at the woman. She already sounded a bit suspicious. This was the first time he had been completely alone without someone watching him from a distance.
He prayed that Zane would walk up to him any minute.
The eagle had half a mind to summon Merri to comfort him. He wasn't about to do that when he knew nothing about the woman talking to him. Where was Elyse anyway?

Still searching for the perfect branch she gave a delighted squeal when she came across one that she thought was juuuuust right. Giving into temptation she did a little dance of delight before scampering, three-legged, back over to where she had left Eilwyn on the bench.
As she neared the bench she started to call out in excitement to Eilwyn, “Wyn, Wyn! I found one! I found one!” The nickname came easily and quite naturally to her.
As she got nearer though she noticed that there was another avian near him, one she recognized too. “Hello Mother Maji. How are you doing?” She greeted the blue eagle with a smile.
Turning back towards Eilwyn she lightly touched his hand, as to not scare him, and placed the branch that she had found in his hand. “Look! Look! I found a branch that is just right!”

Eilwyn was beyond happy to hear the young girl's voice. He was quite surprised by the nickname, though. No one had really given him such an endearment besides his name. Asha might have called him that once or twice, but not much.
The eagle filched slightly when Elyse touched him, but accepted the twig she had given him. Right. He had to concentrate for a bit. She hadn't mentioned her favorite animal, but with that Lady watching Eilwyn wasn't so sure he wanted to ask questions. Adults just made him uneasy. Unless they were Dad or his brothers. They weren't like other adults.
It took a minute for Eilwyn to focus on the image in his mind. A mouse. That would be simpler than most of the figures he made. He took a deep breathe before tapping into his power and turning the twig into the image in his mind's eye.
The twig turned into a tiny glass mouse of the Highland variety. Every swirl, a rank and suit, even tiny glass eyes were etched into the figure. It was crafted to every detail that Eilwyn could think of. He held it out to Elyse. "This is my present to you."
