Making the move to knock on the door she hesitated for a moment, standing outside of the apartment. After a long discussion with her mother a few days ago, her mother had convinced her that she should speak up. And so here she was, standing outside of his apartment feeling like a fool. It has been a few months since the operation she had performed on Wyn and his eyes were now full healed and working as they should. She had stopped by various times in-between then and now just to check up on him as well as just paying her usual visits to him, since he was indeed a friend. This would be the first time he saw her with the new mutation though – if she ever worked up the nerve to knock on the door – having had the accident only a few days before. Trying to calm her nerves she looked about to make sure that she did not spot anyone she knew. She was hoping that everyone was gone from the apartment, other then the eagle, if not she was going to have to come up with a second plan of action. Suits, she really hoped that this would be worth working up all the nerve for. She knew from years of experience that the eagle could often – and often was – oblivious to some things, and apparently this was one of them. Or at least she was hoping that this was one and not just his not being interested. Shaking her head to try and clear her thought she took a deep breath before knocking on the door. Hiding any of her nerves she smiled at whoever it was that answered the door like nothing was wrong.

Eilwyn had been enjoying his sight and all the things that went with it. Even though he fond that Asha was rather depressed by the entire incident he was still happy he could actually see. It did mean he had to relearn how do do things like read and such. It was going to take him a long time to recover all the skills he had lost. Today he was cleaning the apartment. Zane was going to be out with Ez for the rest of the day and that left him alone with a sleeping bander and not much else to do. Later he had every intention of making some figures, but until then he needed to keep himself busy with something. Cleaning and organizing things in his room were the only thing he could think to do. Then someone knocked on the door. Dropping what he was doing, the eagle hurried to the front door, making sure not to trip on the rug or anything. After a moment's struggle with the lock he managed to open it. "Elyse! I'm so happy to see you!" Eilwyn being Eilwyn and having just regained his sight did notice the ivy crawling up her legs but thought nothing of it. If Elyse wanted to explain or him to say anything he imagined she would bring it up. He stood to the side of the door to let her in.

“It is good to see you too, Wny.” She answered, looking up at him and greeting him with a smile, hiding any and all of her nervousness. It always made her more nervous and happy to see him.
From experience of visiting him often she easily made her way inside when he moved aside silently inviting her in. Entering the living room she placed the bag she always carried, swung across her torso, with her on the couch. Looking around she wondered if anyone else was present in the apartment. It did not appear that there was anyone else around today but that did not mean someone could just be in the back rooms.
“I hope I am not interrupting anything.” She said playing with one of the Ivy leaves on her arm distractedly. As a result from the accident she now had ivy growing on her right arm and leg, the leaves and vines both twined above and under her skin, as if her two limbs were the soil from which they grew from. Every now and then she could feel the plant move through her veins, something that had taken a while to get used to.

Eilwyn gave the feline mouse mix a smile as he shut the door and hurried over to where she was. He would fix some tea for her. That was always a good idea. Thankfully the apartment had an open kitchen area, and he could talk to her while he worked. First however, he was going to talk to her a bit.
"You're not interrupting anything at all. Zane's out, Fern--my bander--is being antisocial as usual and I was just cleaning some things. I'll make some tea now that you're here though." The eagle gave her another happy grin before walking over to the kitchen.
He was very happy he could make tea now. And food. And--well he loved being able to do things for himself and being able to see them. He didn't have to worry about burning himself by accident or anything. "Any particular tea you want?" he asked as he put the kettle on the stove.

She smiled up at him as he came to stand near her. Really, why did her heart always have to skip a beat whenever he was near her? Trying her best to ignore it she fiddled with a leaf.
So her initial hope had just been proven correct, he was home alone. Hopefully that would allow this to go a little smoother. And should he reject her, well then there would be no one around. That was certainly a happy thought.
When he offered to make tea she tilted her head to the side in thought to which flavor she wanted as she followed him over to the Kitchen. “Rosewood sounds nice” She finally answered, as she hopped onto one of the stools at the small bar table. As he made the tea she watched him.
Taking a deep breath she tried o calm herself again. When they had first met in the Park that day, quite a few years back, she had first become infatuated with him. Starting with a small crush it had lasted over the years and now it had become something more then just a simply crush. Her main question was . . . did he feel the same?
From experience she knew that the eagle was pretty oblivious to quite a few things, but that did not mean . . . stop she chided herself.

Eilwyn nodded with a grin on his beak. Ducking down he opened the lower cabinets to find the proper tea and the tea balls. After a few minutes of rummaging he popped back up holding two tins and two small ornate tea balls. Walking over to one of the drawers he pulled out a set of spoons. He didn't want to mix the teas together after all.
After a bit more preparation the tea balls were properly filled. He focused his attention back on Elyse. Why was she here today? It wasn't to check up on him, she had finished those visits a while ago. And why was she acting so... weird? Maybe that was just his imagination.
"So what brings you over here? Normally you're not in this part of town, are you?" He asked with a head tilt before the kettle whistled. Hurrying over he grabbed a set of cups on the way. He poured the hot water in and grabbed the proper tea balls. Eilwyn set the proper cup in front of her before setting his cup down to let it steep properly.

“Thank you” she said as the tea was placed before her. Playing with the rim she inhaled the scent, she automatically listing the properties without a second thought. Rosewood, used as an ant-depressant, relieves headaches, antibacterial properties, boosts the immune system . . .
She brought her attention back to him when he asked her why it was that she had come. “Do I need a reason to come see my friend?” She asked titling her head to the side and giving him an innocent look. What was she suppose to say? ‘Oh I came by to see how you really felt about me’ or ‘I really like you as a potential mate, how about you?’[/color] No, that did not seem like the thing to start the conversation off with. Not to mention she surely did not have the nerve for it.
“Well actually I just came by to spend some time with you, that is, if you are free. Mommy Mnem is back for a visit so I decided to leave before she decided to steal me for another round of her chaos cleaning. I hope you do not mind.” That did not sound too fake right? It had happened before after all.

Oh. Well then. "Chaos cleaning? Yeah you mentioned that before... doesn't sound fun at all," Eilwyn said as he tapped his glass. He was curious about the plants that were wrapped around her front legs. Were they just decoration or were they actual plants? Why was she wearing them if they were just decoration? Did they have any powers?
Okay. He picked up his teacup and carefully lifted out the tea ball. I had been steeping for a minute, which meant he could put the sugar in and let it steep for four more minutes. It was a weird way to have tea, but that's the way it worked for him. After dumping a few spoons of sugar in he dropped the tea ball back in and waited.
He slid the sugar, honey and other tea like things over to Elyse. "I was wondering... about the ivy on your legs. It is Ivy right? And uh... how? I don't know if I should even be asking this stuff." He blushed, a bit under his feathers. It showed quite fantastically through the white.

She pulled the tea ball out of the cup before her she handing it to the eagle so that he could properly dispose of it before adding a bit of sugar and milk.
“Well I do not think that the cleaning is so bad, it is just mostly chaotic and when Mommy-Mnem gets going there is not much that can stop her. Every room and every corner, much like spring cleaning only more on her whim rather then a general cleaning.” She replied easily with a soft smile before taking a small sip of the tea.
At his question about the plant she gave a blink before she realized what he meant. “Oh,” She said a little sheepishly, looking down at her right arm. “Yes it is Ivy.” She laid her arm on the counter for his closer inspection if he desired it.
“I got in a small experiment with Mommy a few days ago. Monty caused an accident and this was the end result. They are real” She said with a small nod. “They grow both on and inside the arm and tail. Mommy thinks that they might have some powers to them but we are not quite sure so we are still testing them out to see.”

Eilwyn accepted Elyse's teaball and disposed of the leaves in the trash under the sink. Placing the teaball in the sink he returned to his own tea and followed the same process. He returned to his spot as the conversation continued.
He leaned in closer when she offered her arm. Wow, it was real wasn't it? That must have felt weird. Maybe? Maybe not. He wasn't going to ask that question unless it came up in casual conversation, which he highly doubted.
"That's amazing. I didn't think anything like that was possible." Eilwyn leaned back and took a sip of his tea. He looked at Elyse with wide eyes. "You're okay though, right? There are no bad side effects are anything like that?" He wasn't good with science, so he didn't know if something like this would have odd side effects. Well, she was here though, so nothing bad had happened yet. If anything happened to Elyse... he wouldn't know what to do with with himself.
