Eldryia began to come out of it slowly once they were out in the alley. She barely noticed as Zuberi leaned up against the alley wall, and most of her words rushed past. They buzzed in her ears but she barely noticed. Perhaps, getting into a fight while drunk-ish wasn't a good idea. At least it seemed she went shocky, more so than she thought she ever would.
She nodded a little over and over until finally she shook her head. What would have happened if Zuberi hadn't been there? Honestly, Eldy didn't know if she would have stood up to the highlander. She might have just gone along with it, and gotten into worlds of trouble.
"I don't want to go home, not yet. I'm not ready, yet." She had to stay away until the smell of alcohol was off of her. And, she wanted to make sure Zuberi was alright.
"Here, I think I know a guy that can help your leg. . " The kitten said hesitantly before moving forwards to offer a shoulder for support.

"I might have to take you up on that offer.." Zuberi said with a sigh, looking down and rubbing her paws together idly, as if not sure whether to trust them or not. She was still trying to make sense of what had happened in there. These things... weren't supposed to be coming to her like this... She'd thought she'd left that all behind..
Noticing that Eldy had come up beside her, she hesitantly moved away from the wall, welcoming the support. "Doesn't seem right to have you help me around when you've got a burden of your own." Those words were followed by a glance to the ball and chain that followed the girl everywhere. "You don' act like others from your region, you know... Do you really.. believe... No, I'm sorry. It's none of my business. I'm sorry."

Eldyria tsked just a big, sounding an awful lot like her mother. At leas the shock was starting to wear away. "You probably saved me a very nasty experience, least I can do." At first she wasn't quite sure what Zuberi meant by her next question but the glance made it clear enough. Oh.
She went a little quiet and contemplated it. "I hate it. . . but mom. Mom tells me it's necessary." She had been so very mad when Xiven had taken her bindings off. Honestly, it never occurred to Eldryia to do the same. To her it just wasn't a logical leap, as if the binding was another limb. Another. . very annoying . . limb.
"I. . I've never been home to Torque." She said quietly. "I grew up in the Courts." Eldy smiled gently as she led the way to the Doctor's office.

"It must be hard, not to understand your roots." Zuberi muttered. "Kind of ironic. Ya just weren't raised around it. I was.. immersed in my culture and at first, I tried to run from it." Why in the -hell- was she even talking about nonsense? Well.. probably because she was feeling vulnerable... Vulnerable because her past was catching up to her.
"I admit I don't understand it all.. the cultures.. the rituals.. " She wasn't even talking about the Torq either. "It sucks.. it really does, to have someone expect something of you when you don't even understand why. I guess... we're supposed to understand it later on in life. It doesn't seem fair at all though." Then she laughed, more at herself than anything.. a bitter sound. "Don't mind me.. just my own insecurities peeking through..."
