Machaon was a bit bigger than the mouse, but still a fair bit smaller than the horse and it took some bravery to help steady the horse... If the large person were to fall in his direction it could be a bit painful, especially if he managed to crack one of the blood tubes... He shuddered a bit just thinking about it. Coming a bit closer to reality though he carefully helped to support his patient.
"Just focus on staying upright, alright?" he suggested with a small smile over at the horse, moving a little bit ahead of the patient to help guide it. "The sooner the better, and keep an eye out for anyone that looks... suspicious." he paused then smiled a little bit. "Other than me that is." he amended with a wry chuckle. The last thing they needed was whoever did this coming back, or someone else of an opportunist nature to try and take advantage of the situation... He'd also rather not have to eviscerate someone with his medical tools... Again. It was so much of a hassle.
They were lucky though, the walk back through the winding and rather filthy alleys was a rather uneventful one, not counting the occasional toppling of the large horse and partial squashing of a rodent or two. It did take awhile though, what seemed like a short distance to two speeding critters was a rather long and arduous journey for two rodents escorting a groggy, and possibly drugged horse. After the tedious trip though, the inn came into sight and motioning ahead the weasel looked across to the mouse. "Could you get the door?" he asked in a slightly exhausted, although polite manner.

The mouse darted forward, getting the door. He held it open for the weasel and horse but quickly darted in afterwards, refusing to be left behind to hold the door for every living creature that wanted in or out of the inn. The stairs were hardest part to handle, and one that the mouse hoped to never handle again. He led the way up the stairs, having told the weasel that he did not want to have the horse fall backwards, ending up with two patients, one suffering from having been impaled by horns and a squished mouse.
Having made their way up the stairs, he let the weasel take up the lead again, leading them back to the room that the weasel had taking boarding in. When they reached the door, the horse almost collapsed and they both had to struggle to keep the horse from destroying anything. After taking care of the new dilemma, he looked towards the doctor expectantly.
“Well, are you going to unlock the door?” he asked, tilting his head in question.

he was pretty busy keeping the horse steady as they came to a sudden stop infront of the door to his room, he had no idea why the other had stopped... What was the point of stopping right now? Oh, unlock the door... Of course. The door he had not locked, nor that had an externally accessible lock. He rolled his eyes and looked back to aderlass. "It's not erf, locked." He commented before reaching over and opening the door.
He more or less just shoved the large person into the room and quickly moved in as well. The room was pretty average, and it didn't seem that the weasel had brought much in the way of belongings... He noticed the spot of blood from earlier but didn't really care at the moment. He was more worried about the drugged and chewed up person that they had escorted here.
The light was much better, the place was more sanitary and all that which made this place a lot better than the dingy alley that they had found him in. "Just lie down here big guy, you'll be alright in awhile, don't worry." He said reassuringly as he checked the horse's eyes which were... a bit more dilated than they were supposed to be.

He followed after the horse and weasel into the room, considering himself invited in. He was too curious about what had happened to their patient to just wonder off.
Shutting the door behind him, he saw that the doctor seemed to be in control of the situation. He looked around. The room was that of the average room in this hotel, not extremely big but was still roomy enough for the three of them. His gaze landed on the puddle of blood and he raised an eyebrow. He was interested to know what had caused it though he was not about to ask.
Making his way over to where the horse had been laid down, he watched as the doctor made a check of the horse’s vitals. “How is he doing?” he asked, watching as the weasel pulled back the horse’s eye lid. The stallion did not seem to be doing any worse, though it appeared that it was still alive. Not that he was one to know.

The stallion wasn’t quite as oblivious as the pair seemed to think he was, though he certainly wasn’t as cognizant as he would have liked either. There seemed to be two voices corresponding with two presences. He was slowly coming back to the here and now, but his mind was still very much addled by that last cup of tea Mnem had given him to drink. How much of these interchanges would he remember? He wasn’t even really aware enough of the uncertainty to even think of that.
He followed the doctor’s calm commands without complaint and only a slight hesitation when he was told to lie down. Lie down? Wasn’t that part of wot had gotten him in trouble in the first place? ”No…banders….?” It was part question, part statement and a great deal of his current hesitation seemed to hinge on the answer to this as well as perhaps give some insight into at least part of wot had happened to him. Though... most of the banders in the Capital certainly wouldn’t attempt to attack a full-grown adult, and especially not a horse so much larger than them. Would they?

Banders? Banders had done this to him? Now that was weird... He had only seen this once before, and that time the circumstances were a bit... complicated. needless to say, the victim had learned a valuable lesson about personal hygiene and atleast partially wild critters. This stallion, however, did not look like the kind of person that would have gone into a cage full of such critters while covered in honey.
...Back to the present he patted the side of the green stallions head and smiled. "There aren't any banders here, did they do this?" He asked in a somewhat casual manner. He opened the doctors bag again, but didn't remove anything, instead leaving for a moment to fetch a bowl of water and a somewhat clean cloth to remove the dirt and blood from the wounds. It was a pretty big job considering the amount of bites that the person had received but he diligently tended to the stallion, this sort of thing wasn't as complicated as what he did on a regular basis in his home lab... Heh if only they were in corvistown.
He was almost completely lost in the action of tending to this person until a little reddish spot caught his attention and he realized that the mouse, aderlass, was still here. Right. He needed to stop forgetting about people... Well, he didn't have anything to say to aderlass at the moment anyways. "What's your name?" he asked as he cleaned near one of the horses ears, checking afterwards to see if there were any tears in the soft tissue there. It was important to fix such things right away to avoid scarring

At the man's reassurance, the horse finally relaxed, lying down and letting the tension flowout of him. Of course, his hide tended to twitch slightly as the pine marten cleaned out the bites and cuts littering his form, but he didn't argue nor try to stop the doctor in anyway. Really, he was oddly still and quiet.
Green ears swivelled back and forth, following the movements of the other man, but he didn't seem bothered by the other's work despite any stinging on his body. He also didn't answer the doctor's question out loud, though he did in his mind. Rabid banders.... There was a pack... A whole pack of rabid banders and it had taken forever to fight them off. He couldn't remember how it happened or even why. Just that there were so many banders everywhere and they were definitely nasty little buggers.

The world faded out again as he focused back on his patient, everything else was still there he just no longer recognized it. He got this way in his lab a lot, sometimes he'd be in there for days straight and not even realize it. All his attention directed at his current subject, he had to admit that there were disadvantages to this sometimes, this time however it simply meant that every little bit of claw, tooth or other debris was gone by the time the weasel had finished the going over. And whoever this person was, they were very lucky that none of the wounds had gotten large enough to cause much visible scarring.
He took a step back and looked around, everything was blurry for a moment before coming back into full view. Aderlass seemed to be watching from beside the door. there was still the blood spot from earlier that he had neglected to clean up after adjusting one of the blood tubes... and no one was saying anything.
yep...
It felt kind of awkward for a moment, before he cleared his throat and looked over at aderlass. "I think I'm going to keep an eye on him tonight and make sure he comes out of this state." He paused as he continued to watch aderlass. "Feel free to stay and talk if you want to, but I can take care of it if you wish to go." He more or less assumed the mouse would be heading off, from their brief interactions he didn't come off as a very talkative person...

He thought about it for a moment. It seemed the horse was going to make it through, even if the doctor was going to watch him over night. Feeling a headache coming on from his active drinking at the bar before this he decided that he was going to bow out of the doctor’s offer and find somewhere to sleep the side effects off.
“I really appreciate the offer but I am starting to feel the effects of an evening spent at the pub and bar so I think I am going to leave it to you here, since it seems that you have everything under control. You would not happen to have something for hangovers, though, would you?”
Receiving a small vial from the doctor he gave a slight bow of his head in thanks.
“I hope to see both of you in the future then.” Leaving he shut the door behind him with a soft click.
