He relaxed some at her response, relieved to hear how she felt on the topic. The fact that she measured someone by their merits - by which one he was not completely sure though - rather than something they were born with and could not change made him proud of her. Not many people that he knew could see past such clouded judgment.
When she bumped his nose with hers he gave her a guilty smile. After a moment he reluctantly pulled back just a small distance before taking a drink of his tea. Grabbing a muffin this time he split it in half, holding out one of the pieces to her and popping the other into his mouth.
After he had finished chewing and swallowing he gave her a playful wink. "What would you think of meeting my father?" He asked in an innocently inquiring tone, raising an eyebrow.

Anytime he got that particular look, she wanted to just do dirty things to him in front of everyone. However, it was none of anyone else's business and he didn't quite seem ready for such a move. As such, she accepted the muffin with her ears tilted back playfully and very slowly ate it.
Only after she had finished her half did she reply innocently, "The living one or the dead one?" She was, after all, a 'ghost'. She couldn't stop her mischievous grin from peeking out again, however and her wings twitched happily.
Drostan shook his head when he heard the man's question, but he knew he'd be outvoted no matter what. Still, another one like this one? He was absolutely doomed! At his mistress' question his ears flattened in a face of distinct non-amusement; she thought she was so clever.

He gave a deep chuckle at her question, easily catching the reference from their earlier adventure. It had been a while since he had laughed so easily. Maybe she actually was a good influence on him. He would have to keep her around longer to find out.
"Well I suppose we could try and find the dead one. However, from everything I have ever heard about the man, he was not all that pleasing of a person. Not to mention, why should we go through all that work when there is another one who is much easier to contact." He gave a mischievous grin her way.
Juris who had been pretty quiet through most of the day's events decided to speak up. We are going to see Fire Mouse? came the curious question from Juris.
That is the plan He replied without pause.

Drostan sighed quietly; they were going out again today, he just knew it. "The last meeting went so well, let's just go out and have another one!" He kept the words carefully low and to himself so that the bull/mouse hybrid wouldn't hear him. He really didn't want to know wot the man would say about it. Or do, for that matter.
Dierdre smiled at the handsome King. "Yes, I suppose it could be rather difficult, though rumour says that Grandfather occasionally finds ghosts to talk to." She winked at the man before reaching over to ab his hand and brush it along her cheek. "But I would love to meet your living father; he must be a wonderful person to have helped create you."
She finished her tea quickly and set the dishes to one side before reaching to pick up the Ace's as well.

He gave another chuckle at her words. "Well we shall have to see about heading over there whenever you are ready." He owed his dad a check in after being gone so long.
Finishing off his tea easily he placed his dishes in the pile with hers. As he stood up a servant dashed into the kitchen, obvious flustered. The feline came to a stop before Iggy. "Your . . . Your Highness" He dropped deep bow using titles purely out of respect. "I was sent . . . to tell you . . . that . . . His Highness . . . has awaken" The feline delivered his message while trying to catch his breath.
Turning to face Dre he gave a grin. "It looks like the fun has begun again, you joining?" He asked. The feline who had delivered gave a look of disbelief at Iggy's easy joking over the matter, though he managed to keep it well hidden.

Dre rose gladly and placed her hand in his. "I wouldn't miss it, Ignatius," she said lightly. She bent down to grab Drostan's leash and tugged him along behind them as they headed back to the library.
Se was just leaving the room, glaring daggers at anyone who even dared to look at him. He outright snarled when he caught sight of Iggy. "You lied to me," he hissed darkly, tail coming around to partially circle his body as his wings mantled yet again. If he had been a rattlesnake, his rattle would have been shaking angrily. "The *#&$@#$ was there the whole time. He was there the WHOLE #*$(ING TIME!" The aggression and hostility was complete and utter and the Card leapt towards the pair of hybrids with his teeth showing.
Deirdre made a noise of annoyance, giving Ignatius a slight push to go one direction as she went the other. Drostan scramble at her feet, going with her to the wall.

At an easy yet fast pace he led the way through the halls, back to where the library they had left Se in was located. Spotting that Se was outside of his room already he knew that the winged-mix was not going to be in a good mood.
"Well that answers that question." He muttered toward her.
"I have no clue what you are talking about" Iggy replied his tone innocent compared to Se's outrage. At Se's lunge he easily went in the direction that she pushed him. Hoping to confuse the winged-mix enough to dissipate some of the anger he asked, "How was you nap?" He was also hoping to keep any further attacks away from Dre. Mostly though, it was just because it was more difficult to deal with someone who was in a rage.

Dre continued to slip to one side, Drostan plastered to her heels in angry fear; the hallway grew chilly. This worked in unison with Iggy's quick question, causing the yellow, winged hybrid to look from one side to the next in vague confusion. His mind had been right here a moment ago.
The hallway was cold, and he realized the ghosts were still there. His ears flattened as he growled at his mind yet again. "I didn't take a nap! He forced me unconscious!" He didn't seem certain where to direct his anger, however, glaring at the ghosts for one moment then back at his brain for the next.
He suddenly lunged towards the black and red mix, though this one was more of a feint, trying to figure out exactly where his mind was just then.
Dre wanted to catch Ignatius' eye and find out wot he wanted her to do, but she was afraid of distracting him whilst her Uncle was still so hostile towards the man.

Instead of replying to the winged-mix's declaration of what had happened he gave a small shrug. While he was all for adjusting the truth on matters, it was not in him to outright to his Brother.
Keeping his eyes on the winged-mix he watched him closely. It was only because of that that he caught sight of movement a moment before his Brother lunged at him. He tensed himself ready to fend off the winged-mix should he actually land on him. He gave a small sigh of relief when he found that the male had been feinting the attack.
Raising an eyebrow he continued to watch his Brother trying to figure out what was going on. He would not antagonize the male without knowing that it would end badly so he would wait for him to make the next movement. Hopefully that would not be the wrong move.

The stillness confused him; Se had been prepared for his mind to reappear further up the hall or to the side or something. His mind was still in the same spot. Maybe he had moved? He wasn't sure. The yellow man hunkered down in the middle of the hallway, wings hovering so they nearly encased his body. He tried to hide, it seemed, beneath his wings, trying to decide what his mind was telling him.
Dierdre turned her look of surprised bafflement over to the King of Clubs, trying to decide just what her uncle was doing now. He began to mutter under his breath, an act that greatly reminded her of Drostan.
The Ace, for his part, was staring at the crazy sitting in the middle of the hallway. Why, oh, why was he stuck with this woman and thus dragged into these types of situations? Dre would probably just laugh if he got chomped!
