At Dre's beseeching look he gave a small nod of his head. He could not promise anything but he would try to mend what wrong he had ultimately, if not unknowingly, have caused for the boy.
"While your spunk to do something is more than admirable," and more than many seemed to be willing to do, "I do not think that this is the best way for you to go about it. If you faced him on your own, you would die Sid." Thumping a fist against his chest he continued, "Hell, I would die!
He paused for a moment, taking deep breaths to calm himself. He had nearly been shouting. All the while he simply starred at the boy, his eyes holding no sympathy only pure weight of honesty.
"That is not wot we want of you, no matter how honorable. I do not think that is wot you really want. Would you seriously want to leave Ira to face both your death and your Father's alone?"
Standing there he kept his eyes only on the boy.

"I don't care wot happenth to him," the teenager answered miserably. "I with he would die." There was a despondent conviction behind this rather sadly announced words, and the teal-coloured horse/deer mix seemed to wilt, even his wings drooping.
Dre cleared her throat quickly. "Well, think about Levi, Sid. Wotever would he do without you? And isn't Khloris counting on you to help her with her research?" Not that the Highlander mix really had much of an idea of what it was that Khloris was interested in. She'd heard something vaguely mentioned about ghosts-- at least, she thought that's what she'd been told-- but that also didn't seem quite right. Maybe it was zombies. She put it quickly from her mind and tried to smile encouragingly at Sid.
"You'd need an actual plan of attack," Drostan muttered under his breath, though he didn't think anyone would listen. Who listened to an Ace after all?

At the youth's words he narrowed his eyes in thought at the boy. While he knew that the 'death' of the late Queen had really effected the boy he had not realized it had been to this degree. Something akin to guilt fell upon him once again.
It seemed that it really had messed up.
Scratching at the back of his neck he tried to figure out what was proper to say in a situation like this. It seemed that things really were going crazy at every turn.
Hearing the mutterings from Dre's pet he glanced at him from the corner of his eye. For once the thing had muttered something that was at least a little helpful.
"If you wanted to attack Se you would form a plan. Dre and I are too busy to help right now . . . but I think that your Uncle Zeev might be able to help." He was not positive that the male would be able too . . . he did not even fully know if the lad even had such an uncle. He just vaguely remembered a male who had once been a guard was living with Iphis.
Worse come to worse the lad would be distracted by Iphis, right?

Dre leapt upon the suggestion quickly, pleased with Ignatius for coming up with something so brilliant; there was no chance of Se going to the Capital unless Iggy or Ira took him, and she knew of no plans from Ira's side to head that way anytime soon. In the Capital and away from all of the ups and downs of the Court would be perfect for Sid to have a chance to get over the recent emotional turmoil. If they sent a letter to Zeev and Iphis, she was certain that they would help distract the young teenager. "You know, Sid, I think Uncle Ignatius has a good idea; Zeev used to be a guard here. He's sure to have some good ideas for you.
Drostan gave a low snort, sending Iggy a withering look, despite the fact that someone had acted upon his point.
Sid looked despondently up at his aunt and uncle. "Do you think so?"
"Certainly," Dre said confidently. "Wot's more, you could take Drostan with you." She leaned towards the teen as though imparting a deep secret. "He's been most upset by all the changes in the Court; it would do him good to get away for awhile."

Having done his good deed for the day, in being able to convince his nephew that it was the best and wisest choice to leave the Heart Court, not to mention getting him away from irrational intentions, he stayed silent, simply nodding his head to show his agreement with the plan. Anything that would send his nephew away from the Court was a good thing.
Iggy tried his hardest not to show his excitement over Dre's plot to have Sid take Drostan with him. It would be wonderful to not have that annoying, pesky ace running around underfoot. Quite a few days with just his wife would be a blessing as well.
Feeling Juris move in the scarf slung across his chest, he amended his thoughts. Well not completely alone, but silent Juris was easier to be around than the annoying Drostan. The important thing now would be to make sure that Sid actually left the Court . . . with Drostan in tow, of course.

Drostan stared up at his mistress in shock; she was sending him away? Even if it was to help Sid, the Ace just could not believe it. He was frozen in this shock, unable to formulate a real thought.
Dre bent down to pet Drostan across the head, scritching carefully behind his ears where he enjoyed it so much.
Sid turned to look at the Ace and moved closer to nuzzle the grison gently. "Aww, I'm thorry, Drawthton, it'th been really hard on everyone." He turned to look up at the woman, his face growing determined. "I'll take real good care of him, Aunt Dre, I promith!"
Dre smiled at the boy. "I know you will, Sid. Now, let's get Drostan's things all packed up and then yours, and we'll see the two of you off. How does that sound?"
Sid nodded, still distracted by his determination to think on why he needed to go away.

Iggy gave a sigh of relief when he saw that they had finally managed to extinguish the potential problem. He could not really see that sending him off with the Ace would be much of an improvement but at least it was not an immediate death sentence to him.
Escorting the lad back to their rooms he kept him busy while Dre packed everything that the Tulgey would need. Seeing the male would not really phase the Club any. If anything it was just the blessing he needed. Now maybe he could have some free time with his wife. Not that he had much free time of late. Keeping everything from exploding, for some reason, seemed to take up most of his waking hours; sometimes bleeding into the night.
"So what kind of adventure are you going to go on? He asked Sid, hoping to help confirm the boy's thoughts into another direction.

Sid's ears perked up. "Adventure?" He hadn't had any adventure in mind; he was simply going to care for Drostan and visit family to try and come up with a way to overthrow the evil, horrendous person that had dared to kill his Mo- Father. Depression settled against him again. It wasn't fair; it just wasn't fair!
Before he could get too caught in that train of thought, Dre came in with a bag for Drostan and the Ace on a leash. The Ace looked angry. Sid shivered, chilly though he didn't know why.
"You remember how to take care of him, don't you, Sid?" Dre asked kindly.
Sid nodded, coming over to accept the Tulgey's leash. Dre gently fastened the bag over the Ace's neck, rearranging it so that the Card could move freely.
The Highlander mix was tearing up and trying very hard not to. "Good, good. Now you won't make it too far tonight, but there's a very nice inn just a few hours down the road that you could reach well before dark." She stepped briskly from the room, leading them out through the familiar hallways.

When Dre came back into the living room, having finished preparing everything the ace would need for his trip, he watched her closely. For some reason, one he could never figure out and would only silently admit to being jealous to, he knew that she really liked her Tulgey ace. She was sure to miss the bloody thing terribly. Though, he doubt that he would have much trouble distracting her.
Allowing for her to lead the way he watched to make sure that they made is safely outside the walls. Seeing the two of them off he silently ordered one of the guards to follow and make sure that the boy made is safely back to the Capital without any trouble.
Placing an arm around her waist he gently ushered her back inside. If Se was accommodating perhaps they could have supper in their rooms and spend a little while alone.
