He had just finished his purchase and with a slight bow of his head, bag of diamonds in hand, he exited the jewelry store. Making his way down the street, his posture and small swagger would show any onlooker that this male was someone who considered himself quite important and particularly deadly. There was something of a slight aura around him that caused most others to be wary of him. Glancing around at the other people who were occupying the street, his eyes seem to take in every detail, measuring each person as they landed on them. It had long since been ingrained in him to constantly be aware of his surroundings and those in it. Swinging the bag slightly he was mumbling to himself, as if he was talking to someone. Several people gave him wide-eyed looks before crossing the street. Passing a cafe he stopped for a moment before entering.

She was out exploring the town. She arrived at the Capital and had simply presented herself immediately at the Palace of Hearts. It was interesting to finally see this place that her father had grown up in and she was greatly enjoying her time time. Drostan trailed behind her, attached by the leash she had on him. He snarled at anyone who got too close to them and seemed rather annoyed at his owner, though he made no move against her. The woman's head turned and she stopped suddenly, intrigued by what she had just spotted. The Tulgey Ace walked right into the back of her leg and muttered a low curse when he smacked his snout. He growled, "What is your problem, woman?"Dre watched the man heading into the cafe, one brow lofting before she, too, headed in that direction.

He had just been seated and given a menu to decide his order from. Looking it over, mumbling to himself occasionally, he decided then waited impatiently for the waitress to return to take the order.
As he waited he glanced around the cafe, yet again checking out his surroundings. "Yes, yes, I know. No you can not have any of that." He mumbled, adjusting the scarf that decorated his body. Hearing someone being greeted at the door he turned to see who it was.
Spotting the mixed realm female bipedal falcon, he found himself raising an eyebrow though he showed no other outward emotion. Something about her caught his attention, for some reason she almost reminded him of someone he knew. But that was a strange thought, he definitely did not know anyone like her. Taking in her appearance from head to toe - those were some nice toes - he also noted the Ace she had at her side.

Dre smiled winningly at the hostess, but she partially turned, inclining her head to gesture into the cafe. "Thank you, but I see my party has already arrived."
With that said, she took herself directly over to the Corvistown/Morganberry hybrid's table and very gracefully seated herself. She took a moment to arrange the scarred Ace at her side, a procedure he put up with a great deal of muttering under his breath. She didn't seem to even hear it, however, just as she seemed unaware of a chilliness to the very air.
Only after everything was set did she turn to send the man a beatific smile. "Hello," she stated in a low, melodic voice. "My name is Dierdre Kavanagh. It's a pleasure to meet you."
This was all stated calmly and clearly, as though it was perfectly natural for a complete stranger to sit down at his table.

"No I do not know what she is up to" He muttered, in what seemed to be himself, his brow furrowed slightly in confusion when he noticed that the female he had just been studying was now making her way over here like she owned the place. He could not help but appreciate the sure stride.
As she seated herself across from him and arranged her pet he did not say anything but simply watched in fascination. After she was done and turned that smile on him, he could not help but give a small nod of his head in reply. "Ignatius. Pleasure is mine I am sure."
He was a little confused on how to handle the situation from there. After all, it was not often that someone came up to him out of the blue and acted like this female.

Her beak curved in a mysterious smile. "I wouldn't be so sure, Ignatius," her golden eyes glinted in humour shared. "For I count myself exceedingly fortunate to claim this new acquaintance." She gave a gentle toss of her head before leaning forward to pluck the menu from his hands with a flirtatious wink.
"I am new to the Capital," she gave him this tidbit of knowledge freely, though to others she might not be quite so open. Beside her , the Ace snorted in what could only be derision. "Wot are the local favourites?"
Somehow her tone seemed to imply that while learning the local favourites might be interesting, she would certainly rather hear his preferences. Her deep green tail tossed thoughtfully along the edge of her chair as she glanced over the top edge of the menu to inspect the man sitting across from her.

When she leaned over to pluck the menu out of his hands he was tempted for a moment to hold tight to it, wondering what she would do if she was met with resistance. For some reason though he could not help but be amused by her, and found himself giving it over willingly instead. She really did remind him of someone, it was so odd.
"Welcome to the Capital," he responded, leaning back in his chair crossing his arms across his chest. "Where were you before this?" He was becoming genuinely interested in the female.
After a moment of inspecting her, his look a soft glare, he then continued - though in reality he had just remembered that she had asked a question. "Well . . . number thirty five and forty-seven are good choices" He offered giving a small shrug as if he did not really care.

Her eyes didn't leave his face as she listened to his recommendations. "Well, then," she said softly with one quirked eyebrow. "I guess I'll just have to order wotever your having." She closed the menu with an air of finality so she could drop it on the tabletop. Once there, she carefully arranged her elbows atop it; one must be careful with their arm feathers, after all.
She folded white fingers together so she could lean forward and gently rest her chin atop the plain they formed. "I have come from dancing in the Highlands," she answered his question softly, almost as though she were afraid of being overheard. "My clan has been dancing for six generations." This was also a note of some pride and it was announced as such; obviously he would be equally impressed by this. She was not, however, expecting him to be impressed with her, only with the her clan's heritage.

Seeing that he was not going to get away from the female he waved over a waitress, placed his order - making it for two by asking for an extra plate - and two glasses of water. If she wanted anything else she would have to speak up. Something from the air of the falcon told him he would probably end up paying and if that was the case then he was not order more food then needed.
After the waitress had left with their order, he went back to leaning back in his chair, his arms crossed. She had come from the Highlands? Well that was definitely something he had not been expecting. He had noticed her highland markings but he had also noticed the unmistakable Marsh ones as well.
"Six generations? That is definitely something." He could not lay claim to anything so cool. The only thing that he could think of that came close was that both of his parents and his other-father had all been The Queens.

Her wings twitched in pleasure; of course it was something! But it was always nice to have recognition of it. "Your praise is appreciated," she murmured softly. "Melody's Song is always gratified by those who enjoy the art."
She paused, giving her clan a moment of quiet respect. The Ace shifted at her side, and she leaned back to lay a quieting hand on his head. The red eyes rolled flatly at her.
"Where has your life taken you?" she inquired suddenly, gaze focusing on him with the same sudden alertness of a predator catching sight of her prey.
He was a King, a good rank that she would attain soon enough. And a Club; this fact she found especially intriguing. Her entire family was red. There had once been a Spade in their midst, but his talent could not overcome the fact that he wasn't one of them. This and his musical ability would probably be the deciding factors for her in any potential relationship.
