Kare got an almost annoyed, long-suffering look as her 'ghost' said 'Boo'. She wasn't surprised-- at all!-- but it really didn't seem like he should have done that. Though. . . the librarian's response was all any child could hope for it to be.
The stern-looking woman gave a loud squawk of terror, then she was tearing towards the door, screaming at the top of her lungs, "GHOST!!!! GGGHHHOOOSSSTTTTT!!!"
Pandemonium swiftly ensued. Patrons were screaming, and there was a panicked rush for the door as Cards simply gave into their fear of the unknown. Kare heard them go, watching the ones that passed by their way. With a twist of her lips-- an attempt to not show her amusement-- the girl poked the fox once again, as though in punishment, though the little poke certainly wouldn't have hurt.
She hopped down from him, reaching out with her nose to touch at his side before he could move, then jerked her head towards the door. Obviously, she was telling him they should make their own exit before more trouble came.

The librarian’s response was more then he could have hoped for and resulted in a harder batch of laughter. And the people running as quickly as they could for the exits only added to his merriment.
Once again gasping for air he was taken a little off guard when she poked him, to which he returned with grasping the area she had struck and giving her a pout-glare and a “hey!”.
When she rolled off of him he proceeded to roll over till his feet were back on the floor. At her cold nose against his side he gave a small jump before following her like she had motioned. Once outside he pulled off to the side, grabbing some of her long mane to make sure she followed him. “I have not had that much fun in a long while. The name is Asher. What is yours?” he asked, tilting his head to the side his three tails wagging slightly.

Unfortunately, she could only hear the 'hey' and did not see any of the pout-glare. Perhaps that was just as well, because she might have given in to a very child-like desire to stick her tongue out at him. She was saved from losing face, though, because of his current condition.
She felt a tug on her mane and it surprised her at first. She blinked when she noticed that a bit of it was floating in the air then she followed his lead without complaint or pulling.
Kare mouthed his name, though she didn't actually say it. Asher. It was a very nice name. She gave a small, secretive smile. She liked it quite a lot.
The little fox hesitated when he asked her name, and her steps paused in the middle of the sidewalk. Talking could lead to trouble, to teasing, to rejection. Phyr wasn't here, but there were quite a few deep-held terrors that she was mostly unaware of hoarding.
This was a momentous occasion, though! She couldn't just blow it off. After nearly a minute and a half of terrible indecision, she finally spoke her name, "Kare."
The word was said so softly and in such a low tone of voice that he would have to be paying attention to even hear it.

When she mouthed his name he tiled his head to the side wondering if she had whispered it. She did not react like anyone else did when the said his name instead she gave a small smile of sorts. Well that was definitely puzzling.
Waiting for her to provide hers he continued to keep his head to the side, his ears up to catch any sound. From her coloring it was obvious that she was a resident of Villa en Miir and he noted that she had the word silent written across her muzzle and forearm. Her long mane also covered most of her eyes as long as her body and tail. The fox really was a strange creature.
When she finally provided her name her voice was so soft that if he had not been struggling to hear it he doubted he would have heard it at all.
Ka . . . Kare was it? That is a really pretty name”

Kare felt a slight blush creep up her neck, but she still gave a small nod of agreement to Asher. The investment and sacrifice was worth it. She didn't think about the fact that this was the first time she had said anything in years; it didn't really matter except that now the ghost knew who she was and, supposedly, could now easily find her.
Only, she reminded herself, he had some sort of form and body, it just wasn't visible. This brought back the thoughtful twist to her lips There wasn't an easy way to explain his non-appearance but she finally came to two conclusions.
First of all, he wasn't a ghost. He was far too alive-- though he was certainly mischievous enough-- to be one.
Secondly, she still couldn't see him. And neither could anyone else. This was the part that worried her a bit; she hadn't ever heard of anyone actually being invisible before.

He gave a grin at what appeared to be bashfulness, it was really cute, not really paying attention to the fact that she would not be able to see it. Though for some reason it did bother him a little that should could not. Maybe if she would say his name - people tended to either freak out more or become at ease when they said it for some reason - then it would not bother him so much.
Shaking his head at his thoughts he did another small dance with excitement.
"So Kare, now that we have managed to clear the library out . . . what do you want to do?" He asked, trying to come up with something in his own mind for them to do. He wanted to spend more time with the fellow canine. Maybe she could be his new best friend. That would definitely be cool.

This was an excellent question and Kare continued to follow the not-quite-ghost thoughtfully as she contemplated this development. It hadn't been her intention to clear out the library; really she had no reason to desire such a thing. She did like the library and she enjoyed sharing it with others. It would also be difficult for any new people coming in to get needed assistance from a librarian if said librarians were off cavorting about the streets screaming about ghosts in the library.
Actually, they really shouldn't be in the library just then because it would be lead people to think that they were involved. Of course they were involved, but she definitely did not want to be associated with the trouble.
All right, time for a diversion for both of them. She nosed towards his side, waiting until she actually felt something so she knew for sure she'd have his attention, then she trotted off down the street at an easy pace.

He was miffed by her attempts at, what appeared to be, nuzzling him. That was till she finally managed to nudge him on the upper arm, than he realized that she was trying to lead him somewhere. Ears perking up in interest and confusion he slowly followed her.
After a short walk he found that she had led them to a small cafe. There were a few customers outside who appeared to be enjoying their drinks, a few of them having snacks to go along. It was a very cute and quaint little cafe but truthfully it was a strange place to have fun at after all the chaos they had just caused at the library. Well he could have a lot of fun, he was always able to have fun . . . a few people, a few items, a whispered word here or there . . .
"Why are we here?" He asked after a brief pause.

Kare turned her head towards him, offering a small, rather shy smile, but she didn't answer out loud. Instead she tilted her head to one side, then trotted inside, trusting him to simply follow her lead. A woman appeared shortly after their arrival; tall and lithe, she was notably bound by her own hair. She greeted them with a friendly, if still somewhat shy-- and thus rather familiar-- smile. "Hello, Kare. I'm glad you're here. I hope your day has been good." She obviously knew that the girl would not answer her; the woman asked no questions. "Go over to table 4; there's no one there right now."Kare nodded to the Torquehelm woman then trotted calmly over to a small corner table with only three chairs.
