Inca noticed Claudius pouting in the corner, and so she squeaked at him, trying to get his attention and let him know that he was wanted. She didn't like him being off by himself, it looked cold in his corner, but it was warm over here. Irving took step for step behind Ilana until she stopped, waiting patiently behind her for her to notice him and perhaps iniate another snuggle pile. He ducked his head shyly while he waited, feeling a little out of place for some reason.
Igal's help made it so that her walk had been practically weightless, and now that she was sitting down she wished for that feeling to return. She grabbed the waschcloth with a small blush, glad when he turned to tend to the bath. It was just regular old birthing mess, but still... she felt awkward trying to remove it from her fur and certain tender regions of her anatomy. The cloth was too dirty to be of any real use now, so she set it aside in the sink, opting to clean it later. As soon as the tub was half filled, she allowed him to assist her towards it, slowly and painfully angling her legs inside. It was awkward, but significantly less so than if she had of been in her animal form still.
As soon as the water hit her, her eyes rolled back into her head in sudden relief and comfort. The water stang her soreness a little bit, but she managed to curl up a little to restrict water flow to the places it would do it's soothing work. "It's perfect, thank you. If I wasn't less messy, I would have offered to share earlier, I hate wasting so much water." The tub was easily big enough, it was the only thing she had in her house that was really more spectacular than average. She wasn't wealthy by any means, so she cherished the deal she'd gotten on the massively long tub. It was nice for stretching out her legs, but tonight she was more comfortable in her semi-curled up state. "Anything you want to talk about?" He'd still seemed robotic in his distress, it was how he seemed to hide from things, and she'd slowly been trying to prove to him that he could come to her with anything, literally, anything. She touched one of his hands comfortingly as an added persuasion, looking up hopefully.

Claudius looked over at Inca, and considered pouting more, but instead, found the promise of warmth a little more inviting. He trudged over mock angrily and ploped himself down next to her. Aurelius promptly placed a immature hoof on Claudius' head and let a sound out close to a giggle. Claudius, not really liking the gesture, saught to tackle the other male, jumping on top of him, and then a small playful tusle started. Ilana, not really wanting to be part of any agressive play, looked back at her brother and wiggled her way over, happily ploping herself down on him again, ready to go back to sleep.
Igal meanwhile cleaned the dirtied towel in the sink, knowing that it was better to get the stains out as quickly as possible, because once the blood had set in, it would stay there. He might have been grossed out, but at the moment he was acting to mechanical to care to think about exactly WHAT was staining the towel. Soon it was clean, and he headed back to the tub, dipping the towel in the bath water to warm it before using it to towel bathe the part of Astyana that was not underwater. He didn't even think that this might be uncomfortible for both of them, his mind was just in a different and darker place. "It's probably best in the end that we took seperate baths anyway. Besides, I think we both needed it." he said. He blinked once or twice at the female's question, not really sure how to answer it. He didn't want to bother Astyana with all his dark thoughts. She had just given birth to 5 wonderful bundles...he didn't need to darken the mood. He sighed a bit...he was ruining the occation wasn't he? "No...you shouldn't trouble yourself right now. You don't need to add emotional stress to your bodily stress." he said softly, offering her soap.

Inca hopped back in surprise of the sudden playfight that broke out, 'merping' as she was almost squished by the duo. She finally found a position far enough back to watch but not get trampled, a little too nervous to join in. Irving was horrified of the playfighting, not liking the idea that he might be touched or moved, and so curled up a little ways away with Ilana and tried to sleep again, though one eye kept opening in paranoia now and then.
Astyana watched him clean the towel in the sink and almost said something, but she knew he needed something- anything to focus on. He didn't seem to make the connection of what he was cleaning, or perhaps he was still a little too buzzed to care. Either way, she was thankful, one less thing for her to worry about. She would loose her head with all this mothering stuff to think about. As he came over with the towel, she leaned her head and shoulders into the scrubbing, making small groans of approval. Her body was so sore, any sort of massaging touch felt good.
She considered his words and then nodded, it was weird for her to be so... unconcerned for his comfort. "I suppose..." She waited for him to respond to her question, for if she said anything else, she would have probably just repeated herself. Perhaps he was starting to find her a burden, and wished for as little time and contact as possible. She wouldn't blame him, though it would be severely out of his character from what she knew of him- and that was a lot. She knew from the sigh that he was about to try and avoid it again, and she stiffened the look in her eyes to demonstrate that she was going to be stubborn about this.
"The only stress you give me is when I know something is wrong, but I don't know what, and therefore I can't do a thing to help. I hate not knowing what to say, if anything." She admitted quietly, taking the soap but holding it for a minute to see if he would respond or just get up and walk away, deciding it was his burden to keep as he often did.

Claudius and Aurelius continued to tussle back and forth until Aurelius found himself growing tired, much to Claudius' dismay. He attempted to play with his brother more...but at a certain point, Aurelius just pooped out, and was unable to move at all. Claudius pouted again...this time, turning his attention to the only one who wasn't sleepy yet...Inca. His eyes grew miscivious as he wriggled his way over to her with purpose. Aurelius drug himself to the puppy pile, glad for the nice warm heat the two were emmiting, and ploped himself down with them. Ilana was fast asleep once again, making little breathing noises now and again.
Igal continued washing and messaging Astyana contently, glad to allow this activity to consume his mind and drive everything else out. His concentration only wavered when his eyes refocused, and he realized he was lightly scrubing uncomfortibly close to her breasts. He quickly shook his head to bring himself back to reality, and changed scrubbing locations to her back, where it was alot safer. He might have blushed if he hadn't imidiately went back into robot mode after changing places. It was very much a show of his attempt to continue to have purely platonic relationship with Astyana. Besides, if he couldn't have her, he didn't really want to think about it anyway, it would only serve to put him in a darker place.
He didn't look at her face, so he wouldn't have seen her look of stubborn resolve. He simply kept scrubbing. "I'm sorry." he said simply, while towel messaging her neck before adding another comment at length. "There is nothing to say that hasn't been said already. I don't think there is anything you could do to help me." he said, sadly realizing that this was very much true. No one could really help him, he was dealing with to much, and none of it ever seemed to go away or lessen. It just added or plateaued.

Inca moved her eyes slowly back and forth, dipping her head down quizically now and then when one or the other found their body contorted into a particularily unusual position, but just as soon as they had paused, they were off again and she could hardly keep up. However, it seemed Auelius had reached his playful quota for the hour, and she could only try and scramble backwards when she saw her brother's intent to start on her. She began to squeak, pleading someone to come and help her before she was hopelessly pounced. Irving squirmed his upper body a little under the new company, forming a blanket of siblings that seemed to please him greatly.
She hadn't even noticed the positioning of the washcloth, so concerned about what was in his mind, and for once, she wasn't it. This left her with a mix of feelings, hoping this wasn't his way of becomming detached before he up and left her or something. But Igal wasn't like that, he'd made a promise to her, and whether he liked it or not, he'd keep it. And she knew he would stay, if not just for the children who seemed to adore him the way he was, no strings attached. She knew how it felt to have such pure, unconditional love directed at her, she'd felt it the moment she'd looked down at them.
Trying to remove her mind from such pleasant thoughts was difficult, but she was tired of Igal closing up on her like this. In a moment of fear and frustration she grabbed his hand from scrubbing her, leaving him with no distractions. The other hand was still captured by her right hand, leaving him effectively unable to find anything to do but look at her, and focus on the warm grip of her wet hands. "Igal... talk to me. Just... talk to me. Even if you don't think I can help, even if you've said it all before, obviously you haven't said enough, because you can't reason this all out quietly inside your head. I don't know anyone who could. Please... just try?" It wasn't as dominant as most demanding speeches were, as she spent most of her time pleading with him, not out of fear that he would attack her or anything, but out of worry that she would frighten him off.

Unfortunately for Inca, it looked as if everyone was far to tired to save her, though Ilana let out a little bleet as if to say 'no stop' in a tired and uninterested voice. Aurelius opened one eye to watch, but the rest of his body was to tired to comply. He wanted to have fun and play, but his body was absolutely pooped, and wouldn't let him be doing that any time soon. Claudius let out a small cry as he came charge wiggling towards Inca. He wouldn't settle until he had won a tussle with her to. He simply just had to much energy.
Igal gasped as she quickly grasped on to his hands. There was a period of time, where for a second it looked as if he was panicing, before he settled back down and looked away from her, pretending to be interested in the white tiles on the floor. For some reason...he couldn't look at her, and he knew that it was because his attempts at changing the way he felt about her were failing. Despite everything, he still loved her dearly. He tried to occupy his mind with other thoughts. The children...he could go check on the children...make sure everything was alright, but Astyana's hands held fast to his wrists, and he wasn't going to be able to leave without roughing her up a bit. "Theres nothing to reason...theres nothing to talk about. There are only thoughts of what is and what cannot be." he wanted to jerk his hands out of her grasp, but instead let her hold them, knowing he could easily hurt her if he exerted to much force...and the babies didn't need a bruised mommy.

Inca tried to squirm away but was met with a solid, fluffy wall. It was then that her brother came tumbling into her, and it was all she could do to try and fend him off and crawl away, only to be repounced, trying to fight him off and roll away some more. She wasn't extremely playful, but she knew if her brother didn't have someone to play with, he'd just go disturb the others, so she tried to learn how to roll and tussle with him, though she wasn't very good at it...
"What is and what cannot be, then, Igal? Because you seem so determined not to try, and it's tearing you apart inside. What have you given up on?" She worried for a second that perhaps he was like some of the others she'd seen lately flocking to the courts, was she holding him back from a different life that he wanted more? She hated to be so insistant, she'd never forced Anything on him before, ever, and she could tell he didn't want to be there. She didn't care though, even if she riled him up to the point where he yelled it at her, at least he would get it out. "Talk to me." She repeated, her voice holding an element of hurt which had not been there previously, her hands starting to pull, as if by bringing him closer, she would bring him closer emotionally. It was like sharing her house with a stranger sometimes, and she hated those times. Damn it all, but she wished things could be like... like they were... before.

Claudius was careful not to hurt his sisters delicate wings, and attempted to teach her to tumble around a bit. It just seemed like she was adverce because she didn't know how. He butted her head a bit once or twice and pulled on her ear with a gummy mouth...you know...what you do to play around rough. Maybe if he did it a little bit shed get the hint that this is what she had to do back. Aurelius wished he could be playing, but soon he found that even watching was beginning to be a task, and his eyes slowly closed. Ilana kicked a back leg out suddenly in her sleep but other then that, didn't make much of a motion. She was fast asleep.
Igal began to grow a bit angry. Why was she forcing him to talk. Couldn't she just...let it go like she usually always did? Right now wasn't the time to talk about the things that troubled him. She should be trying to get out of the tub as fast as possible so that they could go check on the children. After all they had been by themselves for long enough straight out of the womb.
He looked at her, his eyes showing a certain intencity beyond the stoic front. "You....really can't guess?" he said, his voice fluctuating from monotone to fustrated. He'd given up on nearly everything. Ever having a family that cared about him. Ever having children that wheren't just some fling's mistake (not that he had any children that he knew of). Ever having Astyana to hold as long as they both should live. He was just here. Not able to leave this world for good, and no good to it while he was here. "Why do you think I go out and get drunk off my ass every night? Why do you think I fuck everyone and anyone I see who even shows mild interest? It can't be hard Astyana. I know you have more brainpower then that." he spoke his thoughts, though immidiately regretting it later. It was cruel...and he had been cruel enough to her already.

Inca was starting to get the hang of things slowly... she tried to butt his head when he wasn't paying attention, and she slapped him lightly with her wings once or twice. When he gummed her ear a little she recoiled in surprise before doing the same to his shoulder and trying to flip him over, her wings fluttering uselessly in the air. She wasn't quite big enough for them to do her any real good, but perhaps when she was older, she would be able to do a lot more. Irving woke up for a moment when he felt Ilana stirr, he always did, he seemed to think he could protect her by just being awake when she wasn't.
She didn't want to appear rude by glancing out the doorway to check on her children, but she did worry, she'd been in here for nearly ten minutes and she didn't know how much longer this was going to take. It seemed in his anger, Igal had done exactly what she thought he'd do, and it made her body relax slightly. If this was the only way she could get him to talk to her, well, at least she'd anticipated it. "I'm tired of guessing, I'm tired of people hiding things from me." She said, a tone of tiredness returning to her voice that had nothing to do with being awake for almost a day and a half now.
His eyes seemed to glow in the dimness of the small bathroom, and she would have recoiled in fear if she didn't know his different expressions as well as she did. There was only one expression she had to truly fear, and it had been carefully locked away for months now. She considered his outburst and felt her stomach flip at part of it. How many people HAD he slept with? Why she cared, she didn't know, but it disturbed her more than she liked to admit. "You're stressed, that's the closest conclusion I've been able to come to. I can't tell you why, because you haven't told me. I don't know, maybe getting drunk and fucking everything in sight is what works for you." The words had come out bitterly before she meant them, and she found her grip loosening slightly in shock, her eyes widening. "Igal, I'm sorry, I was just jealous, I didn't mean it." Jealous? Of what? She hadn't had any time to pursue any romantic interest after Silvanus. The bulge in her stomach had made sure of that. Besides, who would want to date a girl ready to give birth to someone else's kids? She was undesirable in pretty much every fashion right now, and she'd had no desire to be seen in public. Also, she hated alcohol. But perhaps she was looking at the wrong aspects of her own confession.

Claudius could have giggled with how much fun he was having, only stoping every now and again when Inca caught him off guard. Like when she used her wings to batter him. He almost wished he had them simply to do the same back. Now that she got the hang of it, he didn't hold back, though he wasn't exactly aiming to mame in any way. He just liked to play a little rough. Irving's wakeful state did nothing to the rock that was sleeping Ilana, she was to far gone to come back at this rate. Aurelius on the other hand blinked his eyes open for a moment before repositioning himself and falling asleep once again.
"Yeah...well you want to know what I'm tired of? I'm tired of being betrayed by everyone I gave two flying fucks about. I'm tired of you being so dence and in your own world that you can't seem to pick up on any ques! I'm tired of pointlessly going to bars and sleeping with people I don't care about. I'm tired of being in this world, but knowing I can't leave it! I'm tired of knowing that I'm no good in this world either! I'm tired of knowing that when Irving grows, hes going to blame that spinal problem on me and be CORRECT!" He looked away, closing his eyes fighting back anger and tears. Besides he didn't have the stomach to look at her anymore.
"Oh yes...because drinking and fucking has really changed my mood around right? I'm not stressed...im MISERABLE." he admited finally to himself and to her. He didn't care if she had ment her words or not. The moment she stated she was jealous his face spun to meet her gaze and he pulled his hands roughly from her. He was pissed, his eyes even show it, but it held none of the feral fury she had known. It almost looked like he was hurt more then anything and pissed because of that. "Jealous....you.....you cruel bitch....you have NO idea what that word means." he got up, grabbing a dry towel and tossing it down on the ground close to the tub. He was finished with this conversation.
He left the bathroom, heading for the room with the children, which might have been alarming had the anger he held been wild. No...it was clearly directed at her. He just wanted to check on the children before bed.
