The bright male sat quietly under the tree, deep red eyes peering out from the shadows. He was not a happy boy, no far from it as a matter of fact. He was displeased with oh so many things, all the way from his middle rank to where he was from. It seemed that he just couldn’t be content in his life, but he was sure there was something he could do about that, there just had to be. There was just no way that fate would let him rot and be a Seven forever, it just wasn’t possible. Now it would seem that it was time to put his plans into action. He moved one colorful paw to the pouch around his neck. Inside the pouch were trinkets* that he had taken careful time to gather over the last few weeks and he hoped that they would serve him well in the coming months. He rose on nimble legs, stretching in the most feline manor, bushy tail flaring out behind him as he stepped out from the shadow of the trees. It was time to begin, and he supposed that Corvistowne was as good a place as any. He was after all going to need a job if he was going to make it to Capital City for the next parts of his plan. *There is a fanfic coming to explain the trinkets

(( OOC: You asked for it, my lovely lady <3 )) First impressions were always important. That was what his father had told him. Even a complete jerk can come off nicely if he makes a good first impression. Ezekiel rolled his eyes at the very thought. His dad had given him the go to visit Corvistowne if he met up with the mysterious business partner after their friend Clari dropped him off to do some work around town. Yeah, right. Ez wasn't usually one to rebel. Today he just didn't care much for all the rules his father had laid out. What a horribly protective man. Why didn't he do this with Zane or Malc or even his sisters? Why was he treated more like a girl than his sisters? His thoughts were interrupted by a flash of bright color. Taken completely off guard, he had ran into someone quite furry, "Hello!" he said quickly, "I'm so sorry!" He stepped back a bit before taking in the full image. It was a feline from Morganberry. He had never seen anyone with such a bright coloration, so he was completely lost for words. "Sorry," he said again. Great first impression.

Blyn had been paying little to no attention to where it was that he was going. He was too busy taking in the sights and sounds of this new place. He had the impression that he could really like it here, all the hustle and bustle really appealed to him. He turned a corner and stopped admiring a rather lovely young man from the area. . .he was a sucker for the tall dark ones. . .when he was nearly ran over. Well, one really couldn’t call it ‘ran over’ when the one doing the running over was a tad on the small side.
The large fluff ball lofted a brow, looking down at the rather small bird, head canting to the side in a rather amusing feline way. If he heard the apology, he let it slide for the time being. “Me thinks you should watch where you are going young man. Shouldn’t be in such a hurry, yes?” As he spoke, he lowered his head so that he was eye to eye with the youngling, deep red pools never blinking as he took the other in. Intimidating? Who, Blyn, like he could pull that off.

A seven of spades who was obviously trying to intimidate him. How very nice. Too bad he didn't know that Zane was far more intimidating than any feline no matter how pretty they were. "Someone from the Lakes in a hurry? You must be mistake good sir, I was in no hurry," He smiled up at the feline, very aware of the height difference. He may have been an angsty early teenager, but he was short. He at least deserved a little respect for having a mid form, didn't he? Whatever.
"You on the other hand, could have easily been in a hurry. I did apologize, and I do again. I'm sorry I ran into you, my most horrendous error," he said in honesty. He sounded just like his father, ugh, wasn't that every child's worse nightmare.
"I hate to be rude, but I have to ask why someone as colorful and nonscientific as you would be in Corvistowne. I don't mean to pry at all! I just imagine someone like you would be in the courts." He kept his eyes locked on the deep red eyes staring back at him. He wouldn't let the feline win such a staring contest.
Curiosity killed the cat and satisfaction brought it back. He hoped he wouldn't be killed. He liked his youth.

The fluffy male sat down on his haunches, head canted to one side, eyes roaming over the young one. It would figure that the first person he met would be so young. That wasn’t going to help his situation much. Oh well, such was life and he would just have to take it as it came. . .for now at least. “Well, yes, that’s fine there young man. No need to worry about it, accidents do happen after all.” Blyn cleared his throat, moving back to all fours. He did have to admit that he was more than a little jealous that such a young thing had his mid form and he, a full adult did not. That would all change in time. . .at least he hoped that it would.
He thought a moment about just how to answer the question posed to him. Should he divulge any information or just be on his way? Such choices, and Blyn was never one to make up his mind quickly. Maybe just a little information. . .after all, a little couldn’t hurt. “I am about some business, passing through on my way to Capital City I suppose.” There, that should be enough with out divulging any of his plans. He would hate for someone to spoil his master plan after all.
“Now, do tell, what brings one as young as you out this fine day?” Now generally, this was not like Blyn at all. He usually didn’t care one wit about what anyone else was up to, but this little one from the Lakes had him interested. Perhaps there might be a way to use this situation to his advantage after all.

The young sparrow refrained from raising an eyebrow. "Just a day of exploration away from my father," he shrugged. That was probably too much information for a complete stranger, but it could prove an interesting adventure.
"I would tell you more, but we haven't even introduced ourselves because of my silly little accident," he grinned. He couldn't keep this act up much longer, he was going to explode in a burst of silly if he wasn't careful. "My name's Ezekiel!" he offered the feline a little bow. He probably should have offered his hand, but decided against it.
He wasn't all that sure of what to think of the male, he was elegant in a way, and somewhat intimidating. But he obviously had some sort of complex about him. Ez wasn't sure what it was, but he felt it and he didn't really like it all that much.
Then again he was probably being paranoid. He should probably go back to being his normal self any minute now. Being a dork was a lot easier than trying to be formal.

Sorry that took so long, got a bit busy.
The feline nodded, standing and stretching in that way that only felines could, a small yawn followed, but then again, a good stretch deserves a good yawn after words. “A day away from your father? Is he one of those over bearing types that always want to look over your shoulder to make sure that you aren’t causing any undue trouble?”
He cleared his throat, realizing that he indeed had not introduced himself. He was used to being on his own, so very rarely had to make an introduction. “Indeed. I am called Blyn, which I am told means Seven of all damned things. Apparently, my mother thought I should be proud of my rank, with her being a 5 and my father a 6. Silly woman she was.” His words were followed by a low mumble, the words completely unintelligible.
Blyn eyed the little sparrow, obviously envying the fact that he had his biped form, something the feline had yet to accomplish, but for some reason, he was having a hard time being mean to the youngling, something that bothered him just a little.

(( OOC: <3 no problem at all. I'm actually busy myself, though I pretend I'm not. ))
Ezekiel blinked, "That's a very pretty name. And seven is often looked upon as a good omen, so you're probably have great deal good luck raising in rank--if you believe that sort of thing." The young bird scratched his chin nervously. It was a pretty name, and have a very appropriate meaning, but the feline didn't seem to like it all that much. It was a real shame. And why was he so upset with his mother... she probably wanted the best for him.
"My father has every reason to worry about me. I tend to get in trouble at the drop of a hat when my brother's are around," he shrugged, "But that's how brothers are."
He felt the cat's eyes burning into his feathers. The man was obviously jealous of something, and Ez couldn't even fathom what. The man could easily slide up the social ladder with the way that he talked. "My name means "God strengthens", but I think my dad was going with a particular theme..."

Blyn nodded, canting his head to the side. “Lovely name, child, and the meaning suits as well, unless you don’t want it to. It is my pleasure to meet you.” He shrugged, looking down the street. “Nothing wrong with getting into trouble either, I had a tendency to do that when I was younger, much to my mother’s dismay. I myself didn’t have any siblings. . .at least none that I knew of.” He turned his attention back to Ezekiel, wondering if the boy might be any help to him. He seemed to at least know a bit about the area.
“Maybe you could be of some help to me.” He lifted a paw and tapped lightly at his chin. “I am in the market for some information. . .a lot of information as a matter of fact, and I could use a guide. That is if, you know your way around and know anything about those lovely little creatures called Banders.” Blyn had it in mind to become a trainer and breeder to make his mark in the world, and he was a very determined fellow when he needed to be.

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well," Ez grinned. Knowing that getting in trouble wasn't all that unusual for someone else made him feel the slightest bit more comfortable. What the feline said next made Ez ecstatic.
"Banders!" Ez suddenly explained with his ultimate cheerful expression. "I have a pretty rare bander myself! And you wouldn't believe that it was a complete accident! But--er--yes! I can lead you around Corvistowne, I've been here several times when my dad took business trips. I could probably convince one of his partner's to talk to you if you want." His smile was still plastered onto his face, and it showed no signs of letting up.
The sparrow was quite excited. Apparently adults did have some interesting things about them besides rules and regulations. He knew what his dad had a fun side, but this was different. "You know what they have a well known breeder in Capital City, right? You must have heard of him if you're interested in Banders...." Ez had had heard some stories about the man being rather snobbish but a fantastic breeder.
