He told the waitress what she wanted to know. She skittered off with a grin on her face. What a pleasant lady. He switched his focus back to the feline. Right. He wanted to know more about the mad scientist then?
"Well, there's this crazy raccoon guy named Rocco. He desperately wants to fly. His lab, however, is a complete and utter mess. I think he lives with his sister sometimes, but that just makes it worse." Ez shrugged at the feline. "He wanted an assistant not to long ago. He may have changed his mind though, he's really scatter brained."
There was always Alte as well. She was a tough cookie though, he can't imagine she would be willing to take on anyone new. "My dad's business partner, Alte, might be hiring. She might need a clerk so she can do her other job as well as taking care of the shipping firm."
Ezekiel had remembered stories about the woman and her crazy inventions. She was a mechanical Corvistowneian and she built quite a few crazy things. Her watches were some of the most interesting things that he had seen--she was one of the reasons why he came to Corvistowne. How could he resist shiny things? This cat was probably interested in shiny things as well... huh. Which path would he choose?

Blyn thought for a moment. He hated making a decision. "Which of the two do you think will pay the best?" He was after all looking for a way to make some money, and rather quickly at that. He was nearly completely consumed with his plans and just couldn't wait for them to come to pass.
While he waited, he thought of the two options, he really wasn't too sure about what Ez called the 'crazy raccoon guy'. That sounded like it could be a bit messy. The other option did sound worse though. For some reason, Blyn just didn't get along with females. He wasn't sure why, he just couldn't stand them, nor could they stand him.
As he thought, one paw moved to stroke the leather pouch he wore around his neck. It was something that he had only recently acquired, but it held all the treasures he owned, and there were quite a few treasures in the pouch.

Ez blinked a few times as he watched the feline stroke his pouch. Well, money must have been important, eh? He probably should have started his trip in a richer part of town then. How many rich people were in this part of Corvistowne? Not many by a long shot.
"Rocky pays hourly on a flat rate. He's pretty generous. He offered me a part time job for eight and hour. Since I don't live here, unfortunately I couldn't take it. Then again, Rocky is nicer to cards with wings than any one else." The sparrow was sure of that. The feline probably would be paid less, but work more hours if he did go for a job with Rocky.
"Alte pays on merit and how well you do your job. She gets along with anyone, so if you want something easy it would be best to take a job with her. You may have to work a few long hours, but you'll get money fast if you work well with her." Ez shrugged as the sandwich, drink and soup were delivered. The feline would have to make a decision while he started eating. The sparrow couldn't help but wonder what he would consider "wise."

Blyn considered his options. Rocky sounded like the worst of the two ideas, after all, Blyn didn't have wings, nor did he have an prospects of growing any, so the pay might not be as good. The thought of working for a female didn't appeal to him all that much either, he just didn't seem to get along with them well, but at this point, beggers couldn't be choosers.
When the waitress arrived, he smiled his thanks, letting his paw fall away from the pouch before looking back across the table at Ez. "I think my best bet is probably this Alte you speak of. I can work when I need to, and if I plan to start what I have set out to do, money is something that I am going to have to have plenty of." He nodded, rather pleased that he had been able to make a decision so quickly, normally it would have taken a few hours to weigh all of his options before he made a choice. A deep sniff was taken of the soup before he started to slowly lap the broth up, purr rumbling deep in his chest. Nothing like a good bowl of soup to celebrate the start of his plans.

Ez took a bite of his sandwich as the feline decided what he was going to do. Alte it was then. An easy solution for the both of them. She would probably be happy to higher Blyn. After all she really had a thing for some guys. In fact, Ez had never seen her with another woman without growling or hissing at them.
Weird. Apparently anyone meant anyone who was male and didn't challenge her sensibility. Though Ez's Dad could easily convince her to do things she didn't want to. He shrugged it off though as he finished off his sandwich and drink. "We can see Alte after we're done then! I'm sure she can help you find an apartment and stuff. She's really good at all sorts of things when she's focused."
It was true. She really had a nice head on her shoulders when she thought things through. Otherwise... she was a bit of a spazz. Hopefully that wouldn't catch the feline off guard.

The feline, lifted his head from his soup and nodded at the little sparrow. It had turned out to be a rather pleasant day after all. He really hadn’t thought he would get so much done so quickly, and was more than a little pleased about it. “An apartment would be good. I hadn’t even thought about that. My thought for the day hadn’t gone past finding some sort of employment. You have been a big help Ez.” He nodded again, lowering his muzzle into the warm soup again.
Once he had lapped the bowl clean, he lifted his head and licked any remaining droplets from his muzzle, the purr in his chest only deepening. “Now, little friend, would you like to know what it is that I am planning, and why your help today is so important to me?” If Ez wanted to know, he would be the first person that Blyn shared his plans with, but in his mind the sparrow had earned the rights to such information.

Ez raised an eyebrow at the feline. He was one of those people with big plans, right? He wanted to work little and get a lot for it. Oh dear, Alte might not be happy after all. However, the sparrow would say nothing to either of the adults. This was there problem and their problem alone. He hardly needed to be dragged into adult matters. The little sparrow looked at him with wide and bright eyes as he finished the last of his drink. "What are you planning?"
He honestly didn't want to know. He felt fine just helping the man and not hearing the man's life story. Because, honestly, he had a story of his own. As did his father, his mother, and his four brothers and sisters. Frankly, with the craziness in his family he doubted that his plans could top any of there's. Even if Dad just wanted to be a Jack, heaven only knew how far he would actually go. "It's something big right?" His eyebrow rose even futher. This man couldn't be planning to go into courts would he? Oh. He probably was. Morganberry and all that. Well, the worst Ez could be was wrong.

The feline grinned, leaning his paws on the table top, pushing his bowl a little away from him. He thought for a moment, doubting that it had been a good idea to even offer to tell Ex about his plans, but it was too little too late for that regret now. The basics couldn't hurt. "It's simple, my young friend. I have set out to become one of the greatest Bander breeders this world has ever seen, and you have set me down the path to make that goal a reality." There, that was part of the plan anyway, at least a part that the sparrow might be interested in.
He conveniently left out the part about wanting to become a Queen and have little minions of his own. Power mad and all, but it came with the territory so to speak. It could be worse, he could be aspiring to be THE Queen instead of just a Queen. He could almost see it now. . .
He snapped out of his semi day dream, canting his head to the side, wondering if Ez might have any words of wisdom where it came to the Banders, after all, he was the first person Blyn had met that even had one.

Greatest bander breeder in the world? Yeah. Right. The man knew nothing of banders. "If you want to be one of the best you should go to the highlands. They breed the best banders." It was a well known fact, he was surprised that Blyn didn't know. He knew and he wasn't even the best learned member of his family.
Okay, so the man had a reasonable goal. Though he seemed to day dream quite a lot. "Alte may have advice for you to. Her brother breeds banders in the capital, though he doesn't do nearly as well as Ashwin." He shrugged. His bander had a wild father after all. Cute little thing she was she didn't have official blood lines or anything. Still... Ez couldn't help but love her. That was more important than breeding her.
"After I introduce you to Alte, I think I'll be departing." He grinned at the feline. He wanted to do somethings and have fun. He was sort of bored now. He had to work on that attention span thing.
((OOC: shall we wrap it up with you for one last post? ))
