Blyn was slightly taken aback by the sudden outburst from Ez. It was just about the last thing he was expecting. Just the fact that he had happened upon someone that did indeed know their way around the city AND owned a Bander proved that he was on the right path in life. Things were starting to look up for the first time since he left home to set out on hit journey of his.
“Really now? That is something. A rare Bander you say? You are one lucky boy aren’t you?” Blyn smiled down at the youngling, finding his company more than welcome now. A grand day indeed. “I am glad that I have ran into someone that will be so useful to me.” He nodded, standing and stretching to signal that he was ready to start his impromptu tour of the city.
“I had heard that there was a breeder in the Capital, but I am afraid that I need to learn a bit more and possibly find myself a job before I can set out to see him. Everything has to be just right before I start” he nodded again, this time more to himself than to Ez. "You don't mind showing me around, do you?"

"Well, she's a rare color, not a highland champion or anything. But she's still pretty mean sometimes," Ez was blushing. He had noticed the feline's reaction to his lovely outburst.
"I'd be more than happy to show you anywhere you'd want to go. Where do you want to go first? Would you prefer a quick tour of this general area, or would you like a tour of where you can get specific jobs? And also, what kind of job are you looking for?" Ez had no idea how he could chat as much as his father, but it was currently working out well for him.
He brushed his feathers down. The young sparrow tried to contain some of his excitement and joy, but it wasn't working as well as he would hoped. Oh well, his true nature had been exposed rather quickly, he had to work on that. Eventually. What an interesting adult he had come upon.

Blyn nodded as he listened, smile creeping across feline lips. “That is very interesting, and I am so glad that I happened to run into you Ez.” He grinned, canting his head at the blush. “No need to feel embarrassed, there is nothing wrong with getting excited about something, I would be excited to if I were in your position.” He nodded, to prove his point.
He thought for a moment. He really hadn’t planned past getting to Corvistowne, let alone meeting anyone. “Maybe it would be best to show me the general area first, that way I can get the lay of the land, as they say. We can worry about finding me a job after that. Really, I am not ever sure what it is that I want to do, nor do I know what I am even capable of doing.” That was the truth. Blyn had been a spoiled child, having overly indulgent parents, getting what he wanted most of the time. That was the problem with being an only child he supposed. He shrugged lightly, standing and stretching his frame, waiting to see where the sparrow would take him first.

((OOC: I imagine it's pretty busy all the time anywhere in Corvistowne. I imagine if they were in a bigger part they would have been trampled while discussing things. )) "Since this is only a smaller suburb of Corvistowne, I know my way around pretty well. It won't take that long!" Ezekiel triumphantly announced. Thanks to his dad's coworker he did know how to find his way around. He began a slow walk, looking around the small town they were currently in. This was a small suburb of the capital, but all of the suburbs were like that as far as Ez was concerned. There were a few supply shops here and there, an average sized inn, libraries and a few other buildings, just like any other town. There wasn't much to show besides the happy families or inventors who passed by--most of the interesting stuff went on underground. If the feline wanted something specific he would have to make note of it. The capital was probably a two day's walk from here, maybe longer. Finding a job here wouldn't be difficult though, or so the sparrow assumed. When didn't someone need help with research? "Where do you want to start? Do you want to know places to eat? Simple sights notorious to this "little" suburb or what?"

Blyn fell into step behind the little sparrow. He could only imagine the site that they made. It almost had to look like the big feline was stalking the little bird. That could turn into a problem if they ran into the wrong person. He picked up his step enough to come into line with Ex. There, side by side, now it didn’t look like he was hunting the poor little thing.
As they walked he took the opportunity to look around. It seemed so much more civilized than his own home of Morganberry, but then again, he really wasn’t a big fan of his home. He was rather enjoying himself, even if they were just in a small section of town. It had a pleasant feel to it. Maybe one day he would settle down here, but then again, if all of his plans fell into place, he would be in the courts.
He thought a moment about the questions. “Places to eat would be good, one can’t live on hopeful plans alone. Then I think maybe good places to find employment, though I really don’t know what I would be good at.” Blyn shrugged his large feline shoulders and continued besides his tiny companion.

Place to eat, that was simple. The bird new of several places to eat that were "age friendly" as well as a few that were far from the realm of friendly. Either way, he could find food. The job could wait.
"There are two nice restaurants in town. One at the edge of town and that one in the distance." Ez pointed to a small cafe like structure. The whole bottom of the building seemed to be made of glass, but it was merely the large window pane with the restaurants logo that gave the illusion. The inside of the cafe, which was barely visible, was nicely tiled with quaint counter tops. Despite the expensive appearances the little shop was actually a good deal to have lunch.
The little sparrows tail feathers twitched. He had brought money with him, hadn't he? He looked down at the small pouch hidden beneath all of his slightly downy feathers. Maybe he could get away with a free lunch since Clari (whenever she dared to venture this far from the lakes) always ate their along with one of Dad's Corvistowne associates.
He looked to the feline, "It's a pretty cheap place, really good food during lunch hours. But if you want to find something cheaper, I can show you a place... though it's pretty sketchy."

Blyn’s eyes followed to where Ez was pointing, nodding towards the café. “The café looks good, and don’t worry, lunch will be on me, consider it my thanks for helping me out.” He winked, rather liking the looks of the café, it looked quiet, and quiet is good when you want to have a conversation.
He started to walk toward the café, hoping that Ez would follow suit. His stomach rumbled, making him realize that he had forgotten to eat before he left home, easy to do since he had had so much on his mind at the time. “Maybe you could fill me in on some of the possible jobs around here over lunch.” He nodded, more to himself than anything, it would be hard for him to set his plan into motion with out the proper income. “Perhaps you could tell me what you know of the banders as well, I am more than a little interested.”

Ezekiel grinned. A free meal for helping out! That was more than he could have ever hoped for. The cafe was busier than the times the little sparrow had arrived there. The waitress to a moment to come up with them and present them with cutely trimmed menus. Apparently during the rush hours they handed out menus rather than had the customers order at the desk. Whatever worked, worked.
The little sparrow looked over at the feline. "You can become an assistant to lab work. A lot of people want help when preforming experiments, like sorting things. I know this one scientist who is a really big mess. Can't keep his head on straight for the life of him." Ez shrugged. He scanned the menu in the moment of silence.
A sandwich and a drink would do. That's all he really needed, and there was no need to have the feline spend a pretty penny on him when he was being so kind. "You could get a job at a supply store. They always need help. In a community filled with scientists I can only imagine the turnover rate int he stores."
Talk of banders could wait a little while.

Blyn led them over to a table and took a seat across from the sparrow, looking over the menu for a moment trying to decide just what it was he was hungry for. Soup, yes, that sounded wonderful. Once decided, he considered the possible jobs that Ez had mentioned. He shuddered at the thought of being used as nothing more than a guinea pig. Then again, he could always be an assistant without being the one experimented on. Working in a supply store sounded like. . .well, too much work. Blyn was a lazy creature by nature, preferring others to do for him when he could get away with it.
When the waitress came up to take their order he smiled his most pleasant smile. It would be good to get on some of the locals good sides since he was planning on staying here for a while. “I will have the soup of the day, and whatever it is that my little friend over there would like.” He waited for Ez to order before he continued.
“Tell me a bit about this scientist. Is he really all that scatter brained?” Science had been something Blyn had only dealt with when he had to, but it was defiantly something that he thought he could deal with if it meant him getting to his end goal. That was all that mattered right now.
