He was completely relaxed by the time he heard the light scratching on his door to show that someone was awaiting entrance. Opening only one eye before calling for the person to come in, he was surprised to see that it was his Eli that had asked for permission.
It amazed him sometimes the distinct difference between his two Does. Chel would have just barged in.
Recovering from his small surprise, he gave a smile, holding one of his paws out toward her, drawing her onto his lap once she had made it to his side.
"Mon cheri, how have you been?" He asked, tucking her against his body. One of his arms wrapped around her waist to hold her close while with is other paw he ran it through her fur lovingly.
It still continued to amaze him sometimes just how much he enjoyed having her in his arms.

Delighted by the warm reception, Eli smiled and moved closer, eventually hoppping up onto his lap when he motioned for her to do so. This was her favorite place to be - in his arms, anywhere, anytime, for any reason. The way he held her just left her feeling so loved. She couldn't understand why every female Leveret didn't want to be a Doe.
"I've been fine," she answered softly, nose pressing up against the side of his neck as he held her. "Better now that you're home. I was lonely without you." It was true, as melodramatic as it sounded. Finding things to do was much less satisfying than finding things to do for him, and not only was he home again, but he had called to see her before anyone. She would have felt vaguely guilty, since Chel probably wanted to see him just as much - how could any Doe not? - but she was just too happy with where she was to feel anything but warm and fuzzy inside.
"Did you have a good trip, Leon?" she asked after a moment just laying against him. "Do you... need anything?" She looked up at him, dark green eyes intent. He'd probably been well taken care of on his trip, but just in case, she couldn't bear the thought of him Needy without a Doe in sight. Of course, she also didn't like to think about him finding other, prettier, more interesting Does, but that seemed much less of a threat now that she was in his arms again.

Continuing to run his paw through her fur he listened to her questions before replying, "I did indeed have a very good trip, mon cheri." Though he did not go further into what all he had done during it.
At her offer he gave a small chuckle then touched his nose to her endearingly to take any sting out of the laugh, should she find his reaction to deflate her any. After a quick kiss he placed her on the floor, giving her butt a light tap.
"Your offer is very enticing, mon cheri, but it shall have to wait a moment." He motioned toward his dresser. "Over there, the parcel on the right, bring it here for me."
He waited for her to comply, pretty sure should would without question. When she had returned to his side, he refused to take it, singling for her to keep it should she offer it to him.
"Open it up mon cheri. It is your gift."
Inside the small parcel she would find two small items; one a silver necklace with a sapphire stone attached to it, along with a matching bracelet, silver all the way around with small sapphires decorating it.

Eli's tail twitched happily when he pressed his nose to hers. He'd never laughed at her cruelly before, though occasionally she'd been embarrassed by something that amused him. Now, though, he was in such a good mood and it made her feel warm inside to know that he enjoyed himself on his trip. Chel kept telling her that she shouldn't let him affect her so profoundly, but she couldn't understand why or how that could be a bad thing.
She hopped over and took the parcel gingerly in her mouth, grabbing it by the string used to tie it closed. When she brought it over to him, she was confused by his refusal to take it and set it on the floor in front of them both. As soon as he spoke, her eyes widened in comprehension and delight. He'd really gotten her a present! Not that she'd doubted him, of course, but... it had never happened like this before.
Carefully, she chewed through the slip of string and maneuvered it with her paws until she could remove the paper. Her breath caught in her throat when she flipped open the lid of the box and finally saw what he'd laughingly kept secret from her. They were stunning. Her voice wouldn't come at first, even though her mouth was slightly open as if to speak. Finally she got something out. "Leon, it's beautiful. I've... never even seen anything this beautiful before, much less been gifted it." The Does in her home warren had beautiful things, yes, but the fact that these were for her made all of the difference. "Could you put them on me?" she asked in a pleading tone, eyes shining.

He was very pleased over her reaction to his gift. It was almost, without a doubt, more pretty then the pretties themselves.
"I can do that, mon cheri." He held out his hands to pull her onto his lap, though he rested her on his knees. Taking the necklace from her he wrapped it around her neck before clasping it in the back. The fact that she would not be able to remove it herself sent a little thrill of pleasure through him for some reason.
Taking the bracelet that matched the necklace he turned her to face him first. After he had turned her he maneuvered her so that she was straddling his lap, either lag resting against his thigh. Taking her right paw into his hands he gently slipped the bracelet on. Afterward he pulled it up so that he could lay a quick kiss and nibble to it.

Eli more than happily hopped into his lap and balanced her feet on his thighs, tilting her neck so that her braided mane slid over one shoulder and out of his direct way. She shivered as she felt his arms slide around her and fasten the necklace, leaning forward until her nose just touched his chest and she could close her eyes in pleasure. This was so much better a reunion than she could have even dreamed possible, no matter how short a time he'd been gone and how little time she'd had to miss him.
She raised her head at his prompting and watched him watching her, paw lifting almost limply. She felt unbelievably feminine at that point in time, jewelry glittering against the fur of her chest and shining just above her paw, the silver gleaming and sapphires almost inky in the muted light. A light shiver ran along her spine as he nibbled at the tops of her toes, some small, involuntary happy noise escaping the back of her throat. "You are the most darling man, Leon. Thank you, and thank you again, and I don't even think I could say it enough to mean it like I do."

"You please me much, mon cheri." He replied back, giving the paw one last nibble before pulling away. Leaning back away from her some he took in the full sight of her decorated in her new jewelry. Just as he had known it would she looked absolutely marvelous and breathtaking in it.
Leaning forward he pressed a kiss to her forehead. "Beautiful, absolutely beautiful." In a lower more intimate tone he continued, "I could almost eat you up, mon cheri." His arms wrapped around her hips, tugging at her, pressing their lower bodies closer together. Once they were pressed more intimately together he rotated his hips upward in a teasing manner.
"I have been away too long, mon cheri, and though the Need is not strong how about you show me how much you missed me?" He teased, nudging her cheek with his nose.

Eli's pleased blush only darkened as Leon kissed her and pulled her closer. She didn't think she'd ever felt so pretty before, especially not with the way he'd looked at her after leaning away. Like a treasure. Like something that belonged to him even more than the jewels he'd purchased. She was so happy that it almost left her dizzy, the glint from the jewels at her wrist catching in the corner of her eye and serving to make it all both more real and surreal at the same time.
And there was the suggestive tone she'd half-expected from the moment she'd entered the room. Eat her up, indeed! With a small, happily embarrassed laugh, she pressed her cheek closer to him and let him support her weight. He always felt so lovely and solid. "Of course, Leon. I don't think I even have the words for it, so... so I'd have to show you. Any amount of time is too long. Your lady misses you terribly while you're away."
Bold for her, but... well, Chel wasn't there. What was the harm? He was obviously in the mood. She leaned closer, resting her head against his neck and breathing against the fur, shivering a little bit with anticipation.
