The food was put away, the pots had found homes - though Kazifel would probably end up rearranging everything throughout the course of a week since he would figure out where he wanted it while using things - and Femi was just putting the last of the cups and plates in the cupboards when her King came down and wrapped his arms around her. She giggled and leaned back into his arms, resting her weight against him. "I'm just about done, love. There's only a tiny bit left in here before it's finished."
His yawn was contagious and she found herself copying it, mumbling in the middle of it reprovingly. "I think that bed... is a good idea. I'm beat. And this will be our very first night in our own house. Just ours!" Despite the fact that she was tired, her smiled wasn't dimmed. The fact that they were on their own, out from under her parents' wing at last - not that she minded, but it was a terribly nice feeling - it just made her so delighted.

Kazifel grinned. Well that was wonderful wasn't it. He let her finish putting away the dishes that he would later rearrange before snuggling close to her. Bed never seemed like such a good idea, even if he was too tired to do anything. Hopefully that would come later.
Morning came faster than it should. The wolf sighed to himself as he moved closer to Femi in his morning haze. He just wanted to stay like that for a bit longer before he had to get up and make breakfast. Starting the day was always so difficult, but for once he was still tired even if he had actually slept through the night.
Reluctantly he kissed Femi on the cheek before slipping out of the bed. He had a new kitchen to make breakfast in, and it would take him a bit longer than usual to get set up. Then there would be work to be done.

It was so strange to Femi, cuddled against Kazifel and listening to the sounds the new house made at night. It was larger than her old tiny house and smaller than her parents' and the noises were completely different, especially since it was new and didn't have the same creaking quality as the house she'd grown up in. Despite how tired she was, it took her a little while to fall asleep, distracted by all of the noises. She hoped her babies were doing alright with their grandparents.
She only acknowledged the morning when she felt movement against her and mumbled something disapproving as she felt Kazifel slip away. That didn't mean she had to get up quite yet, but it did mean breakfast was going to happen soon and she should get up. She really didn't want to.
After about ten minutes laying there stubbornly pressing her head against a pillow, she sighed and crawled up out of bed, switching to her human form and back so that her fur would be less rumpled and fall properly. Then she went downstairs and sat on the counter in the kitchen, chatting until breakfast was done.

Pancakes with walnuts. Kazifel decided as he slipped the pans out of the cupboard. He hummed quietly to himself as he fiddled made them and sprinkled the walnuts in.
He hadn't really noticed when Femi came to the counter. Obviously he was still half asleep. He set her pancakes in front of her with a small smile. "Morning, ready for another day of unpacking? You get to situate all of your dolls today."
And it would take the entire day wouldn't it? He sighed. That left him with the storage closet. Well, at least he'd make sure it didn't get as messy as the last time. He smiled to himself as he went back into the kitchen to retrieve his pancakes. Three should keep him good until lunch. Well, sort of. When he worked he actually got an appetite.
He kissed Femi's cheek upon his return and sat down to eat his breakfast. He was planning to drag it out as much as he possibly could.

Not only were pancakes Femi's favorite food, but walnuts were her favorite nut. When she realized what exactly Kazifel was cooking, she grinned widely and glanced at the pancakes for only a minute before standing up to give him a long, thorough kiss.
He was just so perfect. Woke up earlier to make breakfast... let her get her dolls where she needed them to be... made this big, beautiful house possible for them... and then made her pancakes in particular. "You are a wonderful man," she murmured against his fur before she pulled away to savor the pancakes as he seemed to be doing with his. Far be it from her to waste a good pancake.
After she finished, she glanced at the door once in excitement, more than eager to go and start getting her dolls settled. She gave him another kiss, this one slightly stickier and sweeter, before she scurried upstairs with a grin.

He made a happy whimper when Femi kissed him and complimented him. He had half a mind to wiggle in his seat, but pancakes were calling and she had already started in on hers. Okay, so what if he had a lot of work to do the day was better when he was complimented, half asleep or otherwise.
Kazifel didn't pause to stop her after he sweeter and stickier kiss. There were no complaints from him. He swept up the dishes and cleaned them before going to set up the storage closet. The wolf shifted to his human form so he could sort things in his usual manner. Sorting things, and labeling some of the piles in the closet would do.
He just had to get everything out of the boxes first. That was a task that took almost half the day, and it was boring enough that he checked the clock every so many minutes. It was going to be a long day.

Once upstairs in the room that smelled like new wood and new paint and new everything, Femi started where she'd left off the evening before and pulled one doll after another from their box prisons. With loving care, she brushed out manes and fur, gently settled skirts and coats with her paws, and arranged them so as best to show off the beauty of each. She loved her dolls so very much. Before her Kazifel and her lovely babies, they'd been her best companions.
She sang a little bit as she worked, alternating between just humming and actually remembering snippets of words. It always helped her focus better when she was playing or painting or mending. Even if she wasn't terribly good at it, the sound of her own voice and music worked wonders at helping her concentrate. Sometimes concentration was nearly impossible. Other times she could become so involved in something that she'd skipped three meals and nearly fallen over from exhaustion before she noticed the passage of time. Moderation was... difficult for her. Kazifel helped.
Most of the day was spent unpacking and arranging the hundreds of dolls. The rest was spent rearranging them.

Kazifel was a good man, and decided to pause in his work to go and fix something for lunch for Femi. Otherwise she would be locked in her room the entire day working on her dolls. He slipped into the room carrying a plate and a dish with a grilled cheese on it.
"I brought something for you," He said with a smile. She had gotten quite a bit of work done. Wow, did he feel like slacking. "I'm going to get back to working on the storage closet, and I should be able to get a bit of my workshop set up." The young man gave his Queen a kiss on the cheek before exiting the room to grab himself a bit to eat.
Then it was back to work. He managed to arrange the storage room properly by the time dinner rolled around. After dinner he would have to unpack all of the boxes in his workshop. Thankfully there wouldn't be much in there until he had more time to work on his hobby and former job.

Femi would certainly have missed out on lunch if not for her husband reminding her - and not only reminding, but bringing it up for her! She sniffed the air and turned around, grinning happily when she saw the deliciously cheesy food being carried in by her equally delicious Kazifel. Of course, she was still busy, as was he, which was unfortunate. But maybe later...
She gave him a kiss in return. "Alright then. I'll keep at this until they're all properly settled or until it gets to be dinnertime, whichever comes first. After dinner, though, I say we take a break for the night." The words were hopeful rather than forceful, but if he didn't agree then she would just sit on him after they'd both finished dinner in a few hours and see if he was really willing to get up just to go and do more work.
Dinner was a tasty affair and she helped him by chopping up a few vegetables, both leafy and non-leafy, to have with it. After they'd finished eating, before he could even try to stand up, she hummed happily and crawled into his lap on the chair, looking up at him. "Not moving," she informed him primly.

He was more than happy to take a break from all of the work. Well, he would just do the rest of it tomorrow then. Kazifel was quite surprised when Femi refused to move form his lap.
"Well I hope you plan on doing something else than sitting on me," He said quietly in her ear before giving her a lick on the cheek. "Actually I might have a plan if you give me a bit of room to move."
Of course he had a plan. He always had a plan when they were alone and in somewhat compromising positions. Plus there were no children around to interrupt. Maybe he could have a little fun tonight. He wasn't terribly tired so... he could manage. His tail was a dead give away of his thoughts as it thumped against the chair. Oh yes, Kazifel was a happy little puppy. He even had to hold back a whimper.
