The kitchen supplies were easy to pack for Kazifel. Heaviest on the bottom, china wrapped properly. Everything worked out smoothly. The movers came on time, and started work faster than he even expected.
And then Femi wanted to move her own dolls. He wasn't sure if this was a good idea or not. He had no idea how heavy some of those boxes could be. He slipped into the room with her and grabbed her before she picked up one of the boxes.
"How light are some of these boxes?" He asked as he moved to one of the larger ones. It looked collectively heavy, with the packing material and the number of dolls in each box... and then what they were made of? How exactly had she packed them. The wolf gave her a questioningly look as he tapped on it. "I mean... if they're heavy you shouldn't be carrying any. I don't want you to throw out your back."

Femi looked down at the box and bit her lip, reaching down to nudge it with her foot. That was one of the heavier ones, it was true. All but one of the movers were Clubs and would have no problem carrying such things, but...
"I just want to be absolutely sure they get there in perfect condition," she said as she looked at him with worried eyes. "I just don't know how I would react if one of them accidentally got hurt because I didn't personally make sure they got there safely."
One of the men in the other room heard her and poked his head in. "Miss, I promise you we'll take care of your dolls. You don't need to worry about carrying those boxes yourself while we're here. You just focus on getting everything packed up in that other room so we can get it over for you."
She looked at the man hesitantly, then nodded and nosed at Kazifel's cheek. "Alright. I'll go back into the other room, then."

Kazifel thanked the movers before going back to his business. He just had a few minor books to pack before he everything was pretty much put away. It was a good thing that he had a systematic way of packing. Otherwise he could only imagine how long it would take.
It still took a very long time. By the time the movers had left, all the boxes has been brought to the new house, and the sun was almost down. Kazifel had to move a few boxes on his own, but it was nothing he couldn't handle. They still had to go through and unpack some of the more important boxes. And Kazifel had to set up the bed frame so they wouldn't sleep on the floor.
It was a major production. Thankfully they would never have to do it again as far as he knew. He yawned as she finished setting up the bed frame. It had taken him entirely too long, and he was terribly hungry. Hopefully Femi had unpacked some of the kitchen supplies?

After they'd gotten all of the boxes moved over to the new house and Kazifel went into the bedroom to start fiddling with the pieces of wood that were, and would be again, their bed frame. She had started down the stairs to begin unpacking some kitchen things like the pots and pans and utensils, but on the way she'd seen the open door to her doll room and had hesitated with one hand on the banister of the staircase.
Her dolls were calling to her in a voice far too shrill to be ignored. She bit her lip, looked down the stairs, then walked back in the other direction and went to start unpacking her collection of friends, placing them on shelves where she could and leaning them against things when she wasn't quite sure where they were supposed to go yet. It was going to be a huge job to get them all properly settled, the work of many hours, and she had barely gotten started when she heard footsteps out in the main hall.
Eyes widening, she put down a doll and left the room, blushing slightly.

Once Kazifel was done putting together the bed frame he came straight down to kitchen. He was only slightly disappointed to find that Femi hadn't even bothered to touch the kitchen supplies. He honestly didn't know why he expected her to do it. Pipe dream apparently.
With a sigh he started to undo the packaging. By the time he would finish he figured they would have a simple meal of soup and some bread. Fixing something complicated wasn't going happen when they still had plenty of unpacking to do.
Halfway through the pots and pans he decided that he would make soup while everything was in plain sight. Simple enough, he fixed soup for the pair of them, and snagged a bit of bread from one of the small bags filled with food. He needed to put things away in the pantry too. So much work and so little done.
"We actually have a dining room table set up, I think." He hoped.

Femi blushed even harder when she ducked into their bedroom and saw the frame all set up, then went downstairs to find that he had started unpacking things to make dinner. Her dolls hadn't been essential... sure she would just have to do it later, but she really should have waited...
She walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around his middle, kissing one shoulder. "I think we do. I'm sorry I didn't start in the kitchen, love. I got... distracted. I was unpacking things, but it was my dolls instead of the food and pots and things."
And if she hadn't heard his footsteps out in the hall and remembered what she was supposed to be doing, she could have easily kept going right through dinnertime without noticing it too much. Granted, she looked a lot healthier now than she had before, with a comfortable if lean amount of weight on her frame. He still said she was a little too skinny, but that didn't look to be changing all that much any time soon.

"It's fine, Femi," He said as he shifted out of her grasp and kissed her on the forehead. Moving to the dining room (they had a dining room!) Kazifel plopped down on one of the chairs. He was terribly tired for some reason. The prospect of more work after this wasn't all that exciting.
Sleep would be exciting but he shrugged off the idea. They needed to get the kitchen done before he could even think about sleeping. He smiled at Femi, "You know, you can help me by unpacking all the groceries while I go upstairs and unpack some of the things for the bathroom and bedroom. If I'm not back by the time you finish unpacking the food, you can start with some of the kitchen supplies. Sound like a plan?"
He hoped that she wouldn't get distracted by her dolls this time. As important as they were to her, he honestly thought they could wait until last to unpack. He would use his puppy eyes if he had to.

Femi smiled and nodded. It hadn't been her intent to be distracted by the dolls. It had just... happened. Now that she was on the first floor again, it wouldn't be such a horrible temptation. "Alright darling. I'll start with the pantry and see where that takes me."
After she finished her soup and bread, it took her... to the pantry. She was glad the children weren't old enough to eat a lot yet, even if there were five of them, or she would have a lot more work putting the food away. She hummed while she worked, fiddling to get things where she remembered them being in the old pantry, though she didn't necessarily succeed. Ever since Kazifel had started eating again, he'd been taking over more and more of the cooking and buying all sorts of things she'd never gotten before.
When she was done with that, she eyed the pots and pans and sighed. If they had to do this for every room, it was going to completely eat up tomorrow too. And probably the day after, between Kazifel's workshop and the storage room to sort and her dolls to settle. They would still have a lot of bare rooms until they got more furniture, though.

The bathroom was easy enough to set up. The bedroom went by just as quickly. that left setting up the storage room, his workshop and Femi's dolls. However it was starting to get late, and her parents were still going to have the kids for a little while. He fanned out the sheets on the bed. They could have a quiet night to themselves and then work on everything tomorrow morning.
He smiled to himself as he went down the stairs to get Femi. He slipped up behind her to give her a hug. "We can do the rest tomorrow, at least, the rest of the important stuff. Stuff like my workshop is going to take a while. If you're not finished here I'll just take care of it tomorrow morning when I make breakfast."
He yawned. Bed just seemed like a wonderful option. "And after breakfast you can start working with your doll collection. Sound like a good plan?"
