Femi looked up from the empty box in front of her and smiling, standing with an exaggerated groan to go and kiss him. Every time she moved, she ached a little bit, though in a good way. Those muscles really hadn't seen so much exertion in quite a while. They would have to get back into the habit of being used. She wasn't done with them yet. "That sounds like a good idea. I'm starting to get hungry too. Don't we still have some fresh, leafy stuff in the icebox? I don't think it's had a chance to go bad yet."
She went with him into the kitchen and helped to get things out and ready. Dinner was more efficient than unpacking had been, but she knew more what she was about when she was helping him there. She was just glad she didn't have to do most of the actual cooking herself. He was... so much better.
Food was consumed, chatter was had, and she wished they had a sofa or a huge chair or something like that they could curl up on. Maybe that would be first on their shopping list.

Kazifel walked out to the barren living room. Femi would follow if she really wanted to, at the moment he felt like doing something somewhat productive, even if he was tired from cooking. The dishes could wait until tomorrow morning after he fixed breakfast. Getting things out of the way would be just as easy as doing it now.
He sat down briefly in the center of the room to think. It was going to take quite a bit of time to get the proper furniture for the room. He wanted everything to be sturdy and long lasting after all. After twenty minutes or so of planing out possible solutions he decided that it was best to sleep on it, like the dishes and everything else he had put off.
Accompanying Femi to bed like he normally did he was disappointed when morning came all too soon. However, he slipped out of bed earlier than normal. He was going to get a little work done before Femi woke up. Then he would fix breakfast at the normal time. It all worked out smoothly.

The previous day was shorter than it might have been, with both of them going to bed early. Even though it hadn't been long, it had been tiring. In a... very good sort of way. She slept well, even if she did wake up nice and early. Kazifel's spot on the bed was still cold by the time she woke up. Silly Club with crazy sleeping habits.
She stretched and flopped over both parts of the bed for a few minutes, enjoying the feeling of morning but not so pleased with the pull and ache of muscles that she was fully planning on using again today. She could ignore them, though, and got up to go downstairs. Her husband had only just started breakfast by the time she went down and she greeted him with a happy, if tired, grin.
"You silly thing, what have you been doing down here?" She reached up to give him a kiss on the cheek and rub her nose in his fur. "Your pillow was already cold and it's barely even morning. Breakfast smells good, by the way."

He chuckled when Femi entered to make her comment and normal morning kiss and snug. "I was working on the storage room, and then I decided to make a full breakfast. Hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, pancakes, French toast and all of that. Even if you can't eat at all I can."
Kazifel had every intention of eating everything. He was actually quite hungry for once in a long while, and he was planning to finish every bite. Eventually he shifted to his human form so his claws wouldn't get in the way of the finer details. He set up the table quickly, presenting Femi with a large and proper breakfast.
It took a while for him to finish everything that he wanted to. Cheerfully humming and still in his human form he collected all the dishes and went about cleaning the kitchen. Once he finished the dishes they could try to claim the house a bit more or he could work on properly organizing the storage room. Either way he was set for the morning.

Startled by the quantity of food he was making, Femi nevertheless sniffed eagerly at each different thing cooking on the stove. "I'll have bites of everything, you know that. It all looks just wonderful... not a thing there that I don't like. Just way too much for me." She laughed and pet his fur. "It's a good thing you can hold down a buffet table all on your own. For a skinny man, you really can eat a lot." And for a skinny girl, she really couldn't. It just... didn't fit.
She playfully poked his stomach and impeded his progress as he cooked for a little while until it was time to help set up the table. Then she nibbled and picked and stole bits off his plate, completely unrepentant. After all, he was going to eat everything else that was on hers. For some reason, it just tasted better off of his, like when she'd been little and her daddy's cup had always tasted the best for no reason either parent could discern.
Afterwards, she helped him by wiping down the table and the counters, waiting behind him to grab him around the waist when he was done the dishes. Her head only came up to his shoulder when he was a biped, but when he was human she was a little bit taller than him. Not much, though... he was as tall for a human as he was for a biped.

Kazifel half squeaked when Femi came up from behind. The height difference was enough to throw him off. He craned his neck a bit so he could see her out of the corner of his eye. This couldn't help but remind him of when they first met. It seemed like forever ago, but it really wasn't.
"Well, I suppose I know what you want to do first thing," He said with a small smirk. Setting one of the dishes down he slipped out of her grasp so he could properly face her. She was... so terribly adorable. He shifted to his biped form so he could properly "match." She really was the fair skinned princess and he really was the tall and dark prince. His life was like a fairy tale, only the happily ever after involved five unusual children, and angry father-in-law and empty house.
It was a very good start of an end. "Are we supposed to claim the kitchen or... some other place? I can't remember really."

Femi smirked and nibbled at his neck. "No, we've already claimed the kitchen. Remember the table? And we've got the dining room covered too. And the bedroom. And your workshop."
All of which had been a blast to make theirs. She was quite sure that she wanted every room in the house to be claimed before they properly moved the kids in. That way no matter where she was, it wouldn't matter. Some part of the two of them would be in the room. It was silly, but she wanted it. He'd had a good idea with that.
She nibbled harder. "Spare room that might be a guest room? Doll room? Living room-to-be? The room next to ours? We have choices. But we might want to save the bathroom for later, after somewhere else, since we can get clean and dirty in the tub at the same time." That made her muffle her giggles against his fur. It was so his fault that she said something like that. So totally his fault. Her tail wrapped around him and fluffed.

Honestly Kazifel didn't mind making the kitchen theirs again, but there was the rest of the house. The prospect of having sex in Femi's Doll Room just didn't sit well with the wolf. It would just be creepy. "Living room to be sounds like a good idea," he said with a wicked grin.
Leading her into the not quite living room was relatively easy. And so was spending a good deal of the morning into the afternoon there. He just really wished they had managed to buy proper furniture for the living room. It would have made things a bit more comfortable.
By the time everything was wrapped up Kazifel decided it was a very good thing to make something quick for lunch. He was yet again hungry, and more than willing to fix something for the two of them to share. Then he would do a little more work on the storage room.

The living room was fun. They would have to claim it again later when they had some more comfortable furniture there. Until then, she went into the storage room with him to see how he was arranging things and started unpacking a lot of her painting supplies.
And then she stared at them. And sat down. And started some more. And crossed her legs. And stared.
"Kazifel, I'm going to paint a mural on the kids' room," she announced suddenly, the creative spirit smacking her like a ton of bricks hitting a cardboard cutout. She sprang to her feet and scrambled around, grabbing the colors she wanted and the brushes and the palette and a drop-cloth and some cups. She then scurried upstairs with all of it in her arms, went to get some water, and broke out the paints. She was inspired. She wanted to paint. She hadn't wanted it this badly in months, and at the time she hadn't really been able to because she was still recovering from childbirth and the babies were eating all of her time.
