"Sleep sounds good," Femi agreed with a grin and tugged him towards the bed. Really, they'd lucked out by visiting a craftsman rather than someone else, since all the furniture in this place was top-of-the-line and beautifully made. The woman obviously took great pride in her work and made sure her home was decorated with plenty of it.
She was tired anyway, and sleep didn't take too long to come. Strange beds never bothered her overly much. A bed was a bed and she could fall asleep wherever she needed to - in a bed, on a sheet on the floor, anywhere... but it was ten times easier with Kazifel next to her. She drifted off with her head tucked against his shoulder and her tail spread out over both of their midsections.
The following morning, Tillda was already up and getting ready to start work on another piece that she was in the process of making. She greeted them both with a cup of strong breakfast tea and some messily scrambled eggs, then saw them on their way and went back to her business.

Kazifel did have problems sleeping in strange beds, but Femi made it possible. He actually had a full and comfortable night's sleep, and waking up wasn't that difficult either. The morning tea helped quite a bit as well.
The walk to the other village seemed rather short. Then again a lot of things seemed short after a long two hour walk to a strange place. Stopping at the village he got the usual stares. Honestly, people didn't really change in the villages. Oh well. He mentally shook it off and picked up all the supplies they were running out of, along with some extra ingredients for a cake, and a meat pie. He was going to put some of his cook books to good use.
Walking home wouldn't be difficult from here. He actually had an idea of where he was going, and was more than ready for any surprises. He was going home.... hopefully the children had behaved to some degree.

Femi enjoyed the walk in the morning, especially with the euphoria of the previous day's purchases still lingering and some alone-time with her husband on the way. Just being with him, without anybody else to distract or annoy, was lovely. They made the walk rather pleasant for her.
At least the people in their usual grocery stop didn't stare with shock, only hostility. Femi rolled her eyes at a few of them and held onto his hand more tightly. He was hers, and most of the people here knew it. Grocery shopping was uneventful and a few of the things that he picked up made her curious. Why did he need whipping cream? Not that she would complain - she loved whipped cream - but it was different.
When they got home, she closed the door with a sigh and looked at him happily. "Mother and Daddy have them until tomorrow at lunchtime," she told him with a grin.

He had completely forgotten that her parents were going to take the children for that long. That means they had alone time. Which meant.... the cake could wait.
Kazifel gave her a wicked grin as his tail wagged. "I need to put this stuff away quickly--the fridge related stuff--and then we can have a little fun!" He said cheerfully before scurrying to the kitchen. Once everything was put away he put the other stuff on the counter top. He could deal with that later, now was time for him and Femi.
He scurried back, his tail wagging faster than ever. He had one thing on his mind and that was completely obviously. "So, what shall we do with this fantastic alone time? I was thinking of something in particular...."
And then he could fix a surprise dinner for Femi. Tomorrow they would pick up the kids and he could do baking in between that. Yes. This was going to be a wonderful evening.

Femi saw his face light up and grinned in return, thrilled that he looked so eager. She'd never been able to appreciate alone time as much as she did after having children. Even if she loved her babies dearly, sometimes the fact that one of them was nocturnal and most of them were Clubs who didn't like sleeping drove her a little bit crazy. They were her parents' problem for one more day, and then she would go back to being Mommy. She trusted that they were being well taken care of.
"I was wondering why you hadn't been trying to get home faster," she admitted with a giggle, reaching out to grab and stroke his tail. Sometimes he got the most adorable fuzzy when she did that. "Just us for one more day, and I was too tired and awkward in Tillda's house to so much as try anything. So... let's try something."

Kazifel couldn't help but bounce on the balls of his feet. His tail was going a mile a minute. "Sometimes even I have the habit of forgetting things, but....now we can try whatever you want, sweetheart." He gave her a wicked grin.
He stopped himself from picking her up and running upstairs with her. His excitement was still obvious, even for the oblivious person that Femi sometimes was. With the kids around they couldn't try much of anything. He had to wonder if all parents had that problem. Then again they did have five active children who like to be active at night.
He leaned forward, pulling Femi closer to him. "You are the Queen of this house, so what do you want your king to do for you?"
It was a good thing that Femi couldn't get pregnant again. At least from what the doctor said, and Kazifel figured he wouldn't be wrong about such a thing.

As she was pulled up close, Femi wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. "Your Queen wants you to love her," she said with an impish little smile. "That's all. Anything else is completely optional."
She loved this man so much, it hurt to think about. It was a good ache, though, and one she didn't think she could live without anymore. She didn't care if he was still a little bit broken - she'd helped to make some of the cracks, and mend them, and it made him all the more special to her.
Biting her lip to keep from giggling again, she leaned in closer and whispered, "Of course, the stairs might be a good option. The bed might be too. Your clothes aren't, though, at least not right now." The giggle couldn't be stopped. She sounded ridiculous, but sometimes silliness seemed called for, especially when she had a day to be as free as she wanted with her husband.

"Well...." He smirked and swept Femi up in his arms. "Stairs first, then I'll get rid of my clothes and then we'll make our way to the bed. How's that sound for a plan?" He asked almost singing as he made his way to the stairs.
And as soon as they were in the bedroom his clothes were off in a flash. When Kazifel wanted to move fast, he could. It was time for the loving, and not worrying about anything else. His tail was still going a mile a minute.
---
He stretched happily, though he was slightly sleepy. Glancing at out the window he sighed. It was already dark then? Well, he was a bit hungry, and he was sure Femi was as well. They could have a late dinner. It wouldn't be that hard to whip something up that would be delicious for the both of them.

Femi sprawled next to him, feeling happy and relaxed and sated. It was hard to believe they hadn't been doing this forever, what with how fantastic it left her feeling. She'd never known before him. That was all for the best, she supposed, since she really wouldn't want to have done it with anyone else.
Her stomach made a noise, complaining that she hadn't eaten since very early that morning. "You've gotten spoiled," she scolded it lazily. "Less than one measly day has you whining. You wouldn't have done that two years ago." Of course, two years ago she'd also been half-emaciated from inattention and self-neglect. Her husband had helped to change that, even if her illness after pregnancy had nearly destroyed all his hard work on her behalf.
She rolled over half onto him and kissed his cheek, petting the fur on his stomach. "Kazifel, darling, could you tell my stomach that it's being a brat?"

"No, because it's not." He said before licking her nose. He wasn't about to let Femi go without another meal, especially if her stomach was complaining so loudly. "So, how about some of your favorite pancakes? It's quick and easy to make, plus you won't have to wait that long."
He held her close for a minute before slipping out of the bed. He stretched again before making his way to the door. "And I'll bring dinner up here for you. Sound like a plan?" He smiled before slipping out of the bedroom, not really waiting for a response. He hurried downstairs to get everything ready. And he would add Femi's favorite topping.
At least Femi was easy to cook for. It made things easy for him when it came to quick meals that they could eat together. The wolf gave a happy sigh. What a perfect day.
