Her ears perked up. Shipping company? She'd never really thought of it before. She'd always had a fellow Bogs resident or two bring a small crate. But if she started shipping via a 'well-known' company then she could expand much faster and she would have a new connection here in the Outside.
It was worth a shot. It would be odd of her to offer such a thing if it didn't exist.
"I guess I won't be visiting Kahmden ever, then." she chuckled in response to Ceren's reaction to the question, "So, shipping company, you say? What is the name of it?"
That, and considering the way she'd mostly been received in the Capital, with her odd, dull coloration, strange smell, and the whole mask-air tank thing going on, she wasn't mush afraid any more of being kidnapped and sold. (Arrogance and paranoia makes for a rather ridiculous mix of things and odd thoughts)

Ceren couldn't help but grin to herself. Heilyn was clearly interested, and she felt more than a little spark of pride with herself. Hah, she did have what it took to join the courts. She could be a diplomat when it was required of her.
Ohhhh, this was doing amazing things for her ego. The coyote might not know it, but she was inflating and stroking it in all the right ways. If she was a feline, she might just purr.
"It's not bad if you're passing through,[/b]" She chuckled, feathers flaring in a brief show of delight. The two of them were a strange show of opposites from the outside, with Ceren's white and blue contrasting against the darker shades of the canine. Funny, then, how similar the two were when it came down to their personalities. "But don't spend an extended period of time there, if you can possibly help it.[/b]"
"That's right. It's called the West Lakes Shipping Firm, and my father's name is Theofilus.[/b]" She honestly didn't know a whole lot about the company, other than that it was reasonably well known and quite well respected. It was with a slightly apologetic smile that she realized that she had failed to introduce herself. "And I'm Ceren.[/b]"

Ceren. Oh, yes, Heilyn would remember that name. Good birdie. She walked up to the sparrow. She was very happy, if what the bird was saying is true, this was a very lucky day indeed. She was so happy, in fact, that she did not walk up to the bird in her usual prey-stalking manner of walking. She sat in front of her, and offered a paw to shake.
"My name is Heilyn," she said in a very low, mellow voice, "and it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Perhaps I could treat you to a midday snack or brunch? You can help me get into contact with this Theofilus?" She didn't like the idea of paying for the meal before finding out if the man was even real (though she has seen shipping boxes with the West Lakes Shipping Company logo on them, and the name rang a bell), but it was bad business to show too much suspicion.

Ceren accepted the paw graciously, even more glad to have her biped form now than before. As a bird, shaking a hand or paw had always been entirely impossible, and even the idea of being required to do so made her feel a kind of anxiety. Maybe that was the reason she had hated social situations before? Pushing that thought away, she smiled at Heilyn as she shook the canine's paw.
"A pleasure indeed.[/b]" she commented softly, nodding. She'd remember the name, make sure she passed the message to her father as soon as she saw him again. "Lunch would be wonderful. There's a little cafe close to the office, my mother actually works there. It's her day off, but that way I can show you where the office is.[/b]" she smiled. Perhaps she could even see some of the canine's works? That would be ideal.

[Lol, I'm listening to Mortal combat right now. "I am the chosen one, alright? Let's dance." xD ]
Alrighty. They headed off to the cafe, making little idle chatter on the way. Heilyn liked that a lot. Most people who were liars tended to like to talk more than necessary. For whatever reason, they seemed to think it made them more believable and trust-worthy. It did seem odd to Heilyn that the cafe her mother worked at just happened to be nearby and she just happened to have the day off, but this was proven to be truth as soon as they arrived.
"Oh, hello, Ceren!" said a young terrier biped, then she lowered her voice, "I know your mom's not working today, but I'll give you the usual discount, just don't tell the boss, k?" she gave a wink. Nice, Heilyn thought, until the terrier gave the air a sniff, then looked down quizzically at Ceren's... guest? They were seated and given menus.

(You crack me up XD <3)
The walk took a few minutes, but Ceren didn't mind. Heilyn was proving to be relatively good company, despite the sparrow's initial aversion to her. Even the smell wasn't awful, it just... Took some getting used to, to say the least. It wasn't as bad as a Lowlander's stench, and she wasn't rotting either.
She gave the terrier a small smile, nodding her gratitude. "Thanks, Anne. I won't even tell mom if you don't want me to.[/b]" she didn't even look at the menu, her mind already made up in regards to what she wanted to have. "Pretty much everything on the menu is good, honestly. I've never had anything I didn't enjoy eating.[/b]"
As the coyote looked the menu over, Ceren tilted her head slightly, expression quizzical. "Just out of curiosity, what is it that you're looking to ship? If I can tell my father about that, it'll give you a pretty good chance of at least getting a meeting with him.[/b]"

She kept the comment of the food in mind as she perused the menu. She didn't look up as she answered Ceren's question.
"Glassware," she answered. A section of the menu caught her attention. Seafood? She'd never seen the sea up close before. It wasn't until she'd even come to the outside that she'd even heard of such a thing. A body of water that huge seemed inconceivable. "It's one of the few goods we can export that we can fully detoxify for the Outside. And, quite frankly, we're good at it. We can stop by the shop I am currently selling if you'd like to see first hand. It's hard to describe. What's shrimp? Is it good?" she asked suddenly, very curious. She was familiar with garlic and potatoes, but shrimp? Isn't that an insult thrown at short people?

Glassware, hmm? A spark of interest flashed in the sparrow's eye. If she had lips, she would have pursed them in thought. She wasn't aware of her father working to ship anything of the like... She wondered what it might look like, and made no effort to hide her curiosity. If Heilyn knew the sparrow better, she would be flattered. It wasn't often that Ceren actually displayed an open interest in something like this.
"Very interesting.[/b]" she remarked with a small nod, taking a sip of the water that was placed on the table for them. "I would love to see an example after we eat. I don't think it'll be hard to get my father interested, but every bit of information will help.[/b]" her words came out calmly, but her expression would tell the coyote that Ceren was actually quite excited by the thought of seeing an example.
Her next comment, however, took the Lakelander by surprise, and she blinked. She had never heard of anyone who'd never had shrimp, let alone have tasted it! Even in the Forest they had shrimp (thought it was often sickeningly overpriced). How could she describe it? It took her a moment before she replied. "It's a type of crustacean that they farm at the ocean, very rich and quite tasty. It's got an almost... sweet flavor. It's usually considered a pretty classy food, but I would say that it's worthy of that title.[/b]"

Farming... in water? Well, if she hadn't heard of everything...
"Interesting... I suppose it's worth a try, then." Heck, everything else she'd said turned out to be true, might as well. She'd also noticed there was only two shrimp items on the menu. Made sense as, though this was a pretty nice place, clean, with a good atmosphere, she wouldn't categorize it as 'classy'. Garlic saute shrimp with potato smothered in melted cheese an bacon bits and chives it is, then. Sounded quaint, but delicious. At least the potato would be a decent snack, should the shrimp fall through.
"The walk to the store's about a half an hour, if you don't mind it too much. Oh, and don't mind the outside. I have a feeling you'd be a little... put off by it. I'm sharing a store with someone else, so it wasn't my doing." She was still a little embarrassed at the outward appearance of the placed she worked, but she did choose it for a reason.

Ceren nodded her agreement as the waitress, Anne, returned. "Can I get a bowl of tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich?[/b]" the dog laughed to herself as she wrote down the woman's order. "You're always such a relief, Ceren. Never throwing me any surprises.[/b]" Ceren looked a little embarassed as the woman turned to take Heilyn's orders. Nothing she could do now but give the coyote a small, embarassed smile.
"That's not bad at all,[/b]" she remarked, happy for the distraction. She had a picture of the store in her mind, of some kind of seedy hole-in-the-wall. That wasn't a problem. She had been to some of the worst pubs in town, and never found herself put off by an outward appearance. "You can't help it. I'm guessing that you'll try to find a place of your own as soon as you've gotten your name out?[/b]"
