Not bad at all, huh? When you see it, you'll be taking that statement back.
"When I get my name out, I'll have my own store, but other people will be running it while I'm off in the courts," she said in a very straight forward manner. She had no shame about her ambitions. She was getting closer. Though she was only an 8 now, she knew she was so very, very close to a 9. After that, she would work on bipedal. She needed it. She needed hands. Period.
"And, really, it's more for my home than it is for me. I... don't have much skill for artisan crafts, so it's not mine or my family's product, really..." she said with a rare display of hesitation. She was actually fairly jealous of the artisans and their ability to express themselves in that format. Another reason to achieve other forms...
[time skip to walking to the front of the store?]
They made sparse conversation on the way, the neighborhood getting nicer and nicer as they went. Then they arrived at the doll house looking thing.
"This is... it." she finished lamely.

So, she had ambitions for the courts? Very interesting, indeed. That would account for the coyote's arrival in the Capital... Getting known in the courts would almost certainly give her business a kind of jump-start which in turn would also serve to make her homeland, the Bog(was that it?) more well-known. It seemed to her, though she never cared much for business, to be a relatively sound course of action.
As they walked, Ceren asked Heilyn a few questions about her home. She was interested in it, but it didn't take long for her to decide that she probably wouldn't be all-too interested in visiting. She thought of herself as being relatively open to adventures, but... This was just a little too much, when it came down to it.
As they approached the store, Ceren slowed her pace, staring up at the doll's house of a store. Her expression was completely unreadable, eyes widened slightly.
Mori would die to come here, but Ceren felt her stomach churn at the sight of all of the pink.
"I can't say that this is really what I'd expected,[/b]" she finally replied, covering her beak with a hand.

As they walked, Ceren asked Heilyn questions about the Raemblen Bog. She answered all of her questions truthfully and without embellishment. Yeah, basically you wouldn't like it unless you were born and lived there long enough to call it home.
She watched the sparrow's reaction and chuckled. "Yeah, that was basically my reaction, too," a grin reached across her face, hidden by the mask, "Ya wanna go in?" she asked challengingly. This was the reason why they came all this way, so they went in.
"Hello! and welc-- oh, hello, Heilyn! Who's your... friend...?" she seemed a little confused when she used "Heilyn" and "friend" in such close proximity.
"This is Ceren. Ceren, this is my stuff over here," she nodded to the corner of the room where the Bog stuff was. The woman who matched the dollhouse-like store nodded at Ceren.
"W-welcome." she said politely, then went back to work, seeing it was Heilyn's client, not hers. She was a bit ruffled at Heilyn's rudeness at not introducing them properly, but decided from experience that it was best to let it go.

Ceren shot the coyote a sidelong glance. She'd come this far, so there was no point in backing out... Besides. There was a clear challenge in Heilyn's words, and she was never one to back down from a challenge. Even one that involved pink ruffles and frills. "Yeah. I haven't had my monthly dose of over-the-top and disgusting femininity, so here goes nothing.[/b]"
Oh, wow. It was even worse inside. Ceren felt that her Yarrow Garden friends and her Queen would likely be horrified. What kind of woman would sell herself as low as this? Beauty was one thing, but this... This was tacky. Her question was answered as soon as the bipedal parakeet made her presence known, and the sparrow stared blankly at the other woman for a moment. "Pleasure to meet you,[/b]" she finally said, bowing her head before moving to look over the coyote's wares.
Her eyes light up as she investigated each piece, taking in the shine of the glassware in the sunlight that filtered through the windows. Though much of the shop's inventory was gaudy, this... This was beautiful work, and she looked back to the coyote. "It's truely amazing. How do you make it shimmer like that? I've never seen anything like it...[/b]" Her father was sure to be interested.

"Remember the poisons I told you about? These pieces are completely sterile, but that's the effect it has on the glass. These are toxins that have settled in the silt of the Bog. That silt is taken, the dried particles melted into glass like sand. The heavier toxic silt, usually from soaking into the physical particles of the mud, creates that marbled effect," she said, pointing to a piece, "Toxins that haven't settled as soundly create that kind of effect," she continued, pointing at another piece that had more or of a glaze of general color on the surface, "When magic is applied, it is possible to cause the toxin molecules to crystalize and do all sorts of odd things," she pointed to a really wild piece that seemed to be some thing like a half of a crystal ball, instead of with subtle changes in color, the colors were rich and bold, but still admitted light to pass through. "There's a whole process that's dreadfully technical and boring, and I've talked too much entirely already. So, you definitely think your father would be interested?" The parakeet gave an awkward squawk. "Woman! Relax! I'm staying here! We're discussing shipping methods. You're the primary, remember? I do live up to my end of the contract." But the bird gave a look that basically said 'I wouldn't put it past you'.
"I do believe we managed to skip the office? We should go back, but bring a piece or two." A lot of walking today. Heilyn's feet were a little sore as she was not accustom to hard ground, but she was enjoying herself.

"Very interesting...[/b]" the bird murmured, lightly running a finger around the rim of a plate. It was strange to her indeed, that a toxin could create an effect as beautiful as the one that she saw on the work in front of her. Maybe she would want to visit the bog some day, if only to seek some trinket for her queen, perhaps even something with a magical power of some kind... She raised her head and smiled at both coyote and parakeet, her expression awed. "Thank you for the information, all the same. I think that the process really adds to the works themselves.[/b]"
"Actually, if I could, I would like to buy a sample. I can show it to my father, and have him arrange a meeting with you if he's interested.[/b]" she nodded. "If I can get a method to contact you, that would be ideal.[/b]" All in all, this was looking to be a very good experiment. Her father should be pleased with her, anyway. At least, that was what she hoped. With what she was planning on doing, she would need all the support that she could get.
((aaaand ready to end this one as well? XD))

"Of course you may," that was the preferred method, anyway. Even if by chance she wasn't actually connected with this Theofilus, there would at least be a sale. "I'll even give you a 5% discount." True, it wasn't much, but there was no real business going on between the two of them. She technically didn't owe the sparrow anything. "Take your pick."
She had Miss Amy write down how to contact Heilyn specifically on the back of a business card for the shop and gave it to Ceren, thanking her (still with her doubts, but she will come around) and shaking hands/paws as the object was wrapped and padded carefully. When the bird left, Heilyn bid good evening to the bird and went downstairs to soak, especially her feet. Seriously, so much solid ground. What's up with that?
