Kel's heart instantly turned over at the sight of the man who acted as she so often felt. She immediately smiled brightly at the younger Card and gestured towards the banders. "They are all quite wonderful, aren't they? Benji looks like such a sweetheart. I wonder, Ashwin," she glanced towards the pine marten as though needing his expert opinion even though she already knew she'd let the Heart take the bander. "Do you think he might be a bit too nice to live with Justice? He is a trifle aggressive at times. . ."
She shook her head and looked back towards the banders. "I think I'll have to revoke my questions about him in the interest of his long term emotional health." Though she still hoped to get Piper today; it was a bit of a relief for her guilty conscience as well, to be able to come home with only one.

The look on the man's face wasn't very comforting, but it didn't matter. He said that he would accept the proper payment! The Jack could have purred happily, instead he handed the money over and waited for the Bander.
"Thank you!" Xander said cheerfully as he looked at the pastel pink bander. The comment about her being manly made him raise an eyebrow. Was that some sort of inside joke? Or was it a shot at the fact that he was pretty... unmanly. But how many children were strongly masculine when they were younger?
He refrained from rolling his eyes. "Come on, Sprinkle," he said to the bander. She shot him a rather dirty look as he tugged on the temporary leash. She moved forward to snap at his tail, pulling out a bit of his fur. Xander made an annoyed noise before continuing his path out the door. Sprinkle and he were going to have a lot of fun in the palace of Hearts.

As one customer left, another entered, and he didn't bother to hide the pleased raising of his eyebrows when he caught sight of Kelasia. Such a lovely skunk. He'd always been partial to the girl. For one thing, she was a fellow Sorgaire. For another... well, she was quite the looker. He certainly enjoyed giving her lessons whenever she needed assistance with her banders. He slid his hand over hers where it rested on his arm and smiled. "It's quite the shipment this week, I agree. Some of them have been disappearing like mad. You just missed a real looker of a purple on her way out." He turned his long neck to look at the two she'd noticed. "And quite the pair there, too. You continue to have a good eye, dear Miss. A bit of regional pride showing today?"His smile slipped a little bit as the brightly colored... mix? It had to be a mix, but he couldn't quite place the region. Maybe there was some Yarrow in there. As the mix expressed an interest in one of Kelasia's choices. "Ah, my dear, perhaps I've spoken too soon? It seems there's another contender for the handsome blue. You'll have to settle it with one another. I don't tolerate fights for pets, not that I think you would." He kissed the back of her hand and turned to the other customer in the room. An... absolutely revolting little thing. Eugh. "Yes. You may." Just get out quickly.  Isolde strode confidently into the shoppe. My, this is a sweet little thing, huh? She had a long day with Miss Pel in the Court of Diamonds and she thought she would give herself a little treat for making it out alive. She wasn't kidding when she told Isolde it would be tough working with the boys... Ah well... She had been very lonely in the house since Sabe left so she finally decided that a bandersnatch was just the thing to quell that. She walked up to the counter where a rather handsome pine martin was finishing up with another customer. "Hey there handsome, howsabout you sell Amy to me with a leash and collar?" she cooed. She would have been invading the man's space but the counter held her back at least. Though with the look of him, she thought perhaps he would enjoy that. ((That is so screwed up for Isolde to flirt with Aeron's dad XDD)) |

It really was sweet of the skunk to withdraw her interest in the little blue one; Vishne felt a flood of relief at her words. If she had been in the mood to argue, he would have caved rather spinelessly and slinked off to look at different options; he didn't like confrontation, and he especially didn't like confrontation with women. Shut your mouth around your betters, as dear old Mom said, and they were good words to live by even if Mom was kind of evil.
"Thank you," he said, smiling at her gratefully. "I hope you have a good time with Piper." He turned to Ashwin. He felt massively weirded out by the way he had fawned over the nice woman. Ick and double ick. "I think we've got it all worked out," he said. "I'm going to take Benji and she's going to take Piper." He took his purchase and forked over the money, thankful that he would soon be on his way.

Kel smiled at Ashwin, willing to step aside for his business as well. He was definitely sweet as well and she certainly would not want to disrupt his business. So she inclined her head politely to the canine, smiling happily when he was so pleased about getting Benji. Yes, she had definitely done the right thing. She waved good-bye to the cute blue bander and his new owner, knowing that Benji was in good hands.
She accepted Piper from Ashwin after she paid for the female, giving him one last intimate smile born of their previous encounters and her respect of his wealth of knowledge. She paused long enough to give him a chaste kiss on the cheek, flushing even as she did so before she gathered Piper with the ease of one well-practiced in handling banders; after all, the other two she had at home were hardly sweet as sugar. From the way Piper was fighting, she thought the beautiful grey would fit right in.

Acheron wandered into the rather busy shop. There seemed be be a bunch of comotion, and he couldn't help the fact he was curious to see what it was all about. The Store title hung above the busy shop, and Acheron knew it was the famous Bandersnatch store. He couldn't help but feel a bit of a smile coming on. An had suggested that he get one after the whole mess with that stag. He had said he didn't want An to spend his hard earned money on him... But now...he was so lonely....he could....really use the company...and maybe An was right...maybe he needed someone who could be at his side at all times...someone to protect him... He wandered in the store...and it was absolute chaos...He waited his turn...letting other more aggressive purchasers take their chance. He saw some truely lovely banders...Stripes and spots and fluffy...flew all over the place as Ashwin helped people with their purchases... Even so...he felt his eyes drawn to a rather unremarkable one....but with a very interesting long fang mutation of some sort....she looked....fierce...he didn't know much about Banders...but large teeth could certainly deter people...right? "I'd like to ask you about Pixie when you have the chance." he said hoping to catch the Rangers attention before someone else. ((OOC: I'm happy to do responces...but I'd like to lay claim to pixie XD;;  ) |
