The light, young-sounding voice attracted Ashwin's attention almost immediately and he turned to see a human, of all things, looking up at him with beautiful purple eyes. He was momentarily caught by them before he mentally shook himself. First... she looked like jail bait. Second, he didn't really prefer human forms in that way. The eyes were just stunning, though. "Well, young miss, that depends on the bander. Some are easier to come across than others. If she's out there, though, I'm sure I can help you. What exactly are you looking for?"

Good, she had managed to attract his attention without attracting too much of his attention. That wasn't something that she really felt like dealing with today.
"I was hoping to find a gray Bander with a pale underbelly and darker tabby-striping." the girl responded easily, giving the man a full smile. She had been quick to learn the best way to convince someone that they should do what she wanted was to turn up the innate charm and mix it with her knowledge. She'd spent most of her life reading, having had nothing better to do while her parents busily sheltered her from the outside world. Being born a human was a bore. "I don't have any preferences for her only trait, but I do request she come from good blood."
She turned those eyes back on the biped, knowing full-well the affect they had on people. She held herself well for one her age, her stance screaming "confidence". If it wasn't for her eyes, she'd probably just come across as intimidating.

The girl certainly seemed to know what she wanted, at least aesthetically. Her charm worked well on Ashwin, who had always been more susceptible to the pleasantries of women than of men, whatever the age. They just garnered a better reaction from the older pine martin. "Gray isn't exactly the easiest color to find, but I know a breeder who's been trying for the color a little while now, and I trust the quality of her stock. We just had a gray leave the shoppe very recently, but that girl didn't have any markings. A pale belly and stripes... I'll see what I can do."
He leaned against the counter with one hip, pulling out a ledger and pen. "If you'll give me your contact information and the payment in advance, I should be able to find what you're looking for in two to three weeks, tops. If I can't, I will of course return the payment. If you have problems with advance payments, my reputation is well-known in the City. I don't cheat customers."

Then he could help her. Raina almost sighed with relief, but held back the childish action and simply nodded in reply. "If what I'm looking for can't be found, I can always look for something different, something easier to locate," she both assured and challenged the man. He would find the bander, she was certain of it. She could see from the way he carried himself and had heard rumors that he was determined to be superior at what he did, and he almsot certainly wouldn't find failure to be an option.
The girl knew she had picked the right place.
"That is reasonable," Raina replied, quickly copying the address of the apartment in the Capital down. It was in a fairly shady neighborhood, but it was a nice enough place, especially since her older sister was sharing it with her for the time being. She reached into one of her pockets and withdrew a small and jingling pouch, sliding his payment and the paperwork across the counter.
"It's been a pleasure working with you, Ashwin." she said softly, extending one delicate hand. "My name is Raina, and I am very much looking forward to hearing from you in a few weeks."
