Oh poop, she hadn't considered the difficulties in making the cookies with the boys.
"Aw it's okay Kaden, I don't mind doing it and you can still lick the spoon after" she smiled.
She quickly mixed the contents and poured it into a pan that was set out for such an occasion. She figured she would just let the boys continue to talk and she'd finish up quicker. The quicker she went after all, the quicker they could all have delicious cookies.
The baked after about an hour and she turned to Ophelia to help her get them out. Grandpa didn't really like her to go near any of the hot things in the kitchen. She could burn herself or worse.
The cookies came out perfect! They were gooey and smelled great. She hoped Tavor would like them, that was her main agenda after all.

He followed them through the open door and took a quick look around. Hum, they weren't the most aesthetically pleasing surroundings but he'd bite his little purple tongue this time and keep his thoughts to himself, they were being nice hosts after all. He turned his attention back to the avian briefly, a grin on his face.
Yeah, I can see that now. Sezja is the only bander where I live though ... which is kind of odd with all the people.
Really he didn't know that that amount of people was actually small for a court, he'd never been to any others after all. But then the talk of actually doing work for those offered cookies came up and, even though his own paws were the closest to hands that the three of them had he had a rather valid excuse to get out of all of this ... and had no issues voicing it either.
They've got me banned from the kitchens at home .... I've been shooed out with a broom once or twice actually.
He twitched his tail a bit but otherwise he was able to sit still with his ears forward and actually paying attention ... for now.

Keeping watch on the boy's from the corner of her eye, she worked mainly on helping Isolde with the cookies -- stirring when the dough got a bit too tough for tiny paws and dealing with the heated oven. When the timer finally went off, she pulled them out of the oven and set them out to cool.
It would be a minute or two before anyone could test a cookie without burning the insides of their mouth.
Kaden's eyes lit up in a way that only a mischievous little bird's could. "Banned from the Kitchens? Really? What did you do?!" The bird chuckled, grinning. "I'm banned from the Kitchen in mom's bed and breakfast." He gave a solemn nod to this. "And the main dining area, they say I overwhelm the customers."
Well, Dad said he terrified them but that was an entirely different story.
Sort of.
Well, in Kaden's world it was.
"Y'know... Usually Mom just tries to keep me out of the bed and breakfast all together."
And then the smell of cookies wafted up to catch his attention, causing him to shiver happily. Mmm.. Sweets! "When do we get to eat the cookies???"

Isolde was basically drooling here, she really wanted to taste one but she knew Grandpa Ophelia probably wouldn't let her. They were still too hot yet and she might get burned.
When they were cool, she got out some plates and placed one cookie per person. They really hadn't made that many to begin with so she wanted to make sure that Tavor got at least one to try. "Alright fellas, dig in... and Grandpa... I made this one 'specially for you" she grinned as she pushed the plate in front of her.
She was thankful for all the help her grandfather gave her and this was the only way she could prove it. She picked up two more cookies, one for herself and the other for Tavor. She worried something may happen to it so she put Tavor's cookie up where no one would knock it. She really was kind of proud of herself.

In response to Kaden's question his tail curled up into a happy little s shape and a mischievous grin spread across his muzzle, exposing his little fangs just a bit. Now this was a fun and interesting subject, well ... for him. Part of it's cause I can't even make a sandwich without making a mess ... the other half is because fruit is fun to take and throw off the balconies. But it has to be really ripe ... or it's not quite as fun. He laughed lightly, tail swishing just a bit. Mother thinks it's kind of funny actually ... especially the times I get dragged up the stairs and dropped off at his door and called a demon child or silly things like that ... we laugh when they leave. Oh but there cookies now and he couldn't help but be interested in them. Pointed ears swiveled forward as his attention turned toward the plate of cookies. Hum ... they smelt good, and they looked good so ... that meant they would be, right? Another little rat mix had finally caught on to the fact that there were other people home, and that the house smelt like cookies as well, and couldn't keep himself from investigating. He made his way over to the kitchen and peered in, his nose twitching a bit before he spoke in his soft voice, a bit softer since there were strangers around. Hello?

Kaden's little feathers fluffed up with eager interest as he listened, eyes bright. A fellow mischief maker! How fortunate!
Drawing a little closer, he lowered his voice to a whisper. "You will have to show me just how fun that is, to throw fruit from balconies..." His mother would probably find it fun too. She liked to hit people with stuff all the time.
But there were cookies now and he quickly took to chowing down on his, delighting in the taste. "Ooo! Yum!"
Opelia smiled as Isolde offered her a cookie and she took it gratefully, eating slowly as she watched the children. "Thank you, darling."
When Tavor entered the room, both Kaden and Ophelia were quick to glance over. "Hi, Tavor. We were hoping you would join us soon... Isolde has made you a present and we've brought some friends home as well."
The doe motioned toward Kaden and Mo.
Kaden grinned widely, chirping up once he was motioned to. "I'm Kaden!"

((kinda lame but got the point across))
Isolde excitedly picked the plate back up and ran over to hug Tavor with one arm. She was probably the spazziest child going where her brother was concerned but she just loved him... yea, that's a good reason. "Tavor!" she squealed. "I made you something" she said proudly as she put the plate down on a table in front of him. "I... I hope you like it. If you don't, I can gladly make you something else..." she spoke a bit quieter and more gently this time. Cooking was the one thing that made her totally self conscious.
"Kaden, Grandpa and Morpheus helped me with everything too" she grinned. There was no harm in giving credit, it's not like Tavor would know that Isolde did most of the work. She held her breathe as she waited for Tavor to try his cookie, she was so nervous he wouldn't like it.

His grin broadened, showing more fang and successfully make him look rather creepy in the process. So the boy was interested in learning a few tricks of the trade was he? Well ... he certainly wouldn't keep them to himself if he could spread the information along! Besides, every home needed a trouble maker, they were just ... boring without one right?
you should come visit me sometime then!
He heard someone else coming, even if their steps were light and cautious and it instantly snagged his attention. When the older boy's little rat face peeked around the corner he quickly made his way over and met the smaller male halfway to the table and instantly invaded his personal space by putting his face very near the other hybrid's. He had no personal regard for other people's 'bubbles' and this boy ... needed a closer inspection.
Tavor perked up for a moment when he'd heard that Isolde had a surprise for him. Generally her surprises were food, and that was almost always on the sweet side to. He moved forward, still being a bit cautious but .... if Ophelia approved of the other two boys that meant they were ok, right? Maybe ...
He flipped his little white ears back when the weasel cross was suddenly in his face and he backed up a bit, the mix following him but not doing anything other then .... look at him? How .... odd. He was completely uncomfortable with this and every bit of his body language would be screaming that little fact .... what was wrong with this kid?

Kaden liked the idea of visiting Mo, definitely. He seemed like a whole bunch of fun... But his attention was stolen away by the newcomer and for a moment he seemed to be waiting on baited breath for the boy to speak...
But he didn't.
In fact, Mo did a right good job of apparently scaring the boy out of his fur.
The little avian couldn't help his snickering amusement, but Ophelia didn't see the amusement in the situation. Tavor was such a shy boy and, really now... Mo wasn't helping. Of course, Mo didn't know the boy was shy. It really was quite the contrast from herself and the energetic Isolde.
Slowly she walked over, hoping to distract the boys from their overly close inspection... Did they look a little similar? She nearly paused for a moment, but decided that inspection was best done at a distance in this situation. She could compare the little similarities in some of their features as she spoke.
"Tavor, this is Mo." She put a hand on the boy's shoulder. "And Mo, this is Tavor. Shall we get ourselves some cookies while we continue introductions?"

He blew a puff of breath at the smaller mix, making the Sorgaire cross's fur bristle a bit, and that was all he managed to accomplish before Ophelia was there. The weasel-rat tilted his head to look up at the doe, a bit of a pout on his muzzle, but he backed off and then trotted over to where the cookies were as if he was then fully disinterested in the winged boy, tail up and curled behind him. He did, however, give Kaden a playful little nip as he passed him
He wiggled a bit and then hopped up onto a chair, curling his tail around one of it's legs before lifting up a paw and poking at the cookie there with a single white claw before further inspecting inspecting it with his nose ... and then he devoured the entire thing, leaving little crumbs on his whiskers.
Tavor wasn't enjoying the close proximity of this stranger and was just about to try and make himself as small as possible by shrinking to the floor, but didn't need to as he had someone coming to his 'rescue'. The hand on his shoulders was comforting, but the lowlander definitely freaked him out, what kind of stranger did that sort of thing? Well ... he hadn't really done anything he'd just been ... terribly rude ... he could forgive that.
He looked up and smiled softly at Ophelia before he made his way over to Isolde, being a little more cautious now. He took the cookie from her, holding it his paws before nibbling at it daintily, watching Mo for a moment before taking an actual bite.
T-this is good .... w-what kind ... this time?
