The corners of his maw twitched, unsure of whether they wished to twist upward or draw back into a safe neutrality. When she had given him permission, odd that he'd even asked in the first place, he reached out and moved his hand forward, gliding his fingers gently over her wings and concentrating entirely on what he was doing, interesting. They felt rather fragile, but certainly the creature was able to fly and that simply intrigued him more.
His eyes, a striking gold behind the goo, took in her coloration, black and blue ... blue. His hand suddenly froze and an odd expression caught his features, a combination of more then one emotion, as the other hand balled it's self into a fist tightly, then released it. His ears slid halfway back and for a moment it would seem that all the fire from his soul vanished before lighting anew as he suddenly straightened himself up and looked down at her, all his muscles tensed and he glared, fur bristling in the process.
You know... there's no one else around
And he dropped his charm, another smirk springing to his lips.

So many people had asked to touch her wings upon meeting her than Vana was growing rather accustomed to the curiousity by now. Holding down a flutter of uncertainty, she held out her wings at their fully extension so that Osias could both see them and feel them properly. In the privacy of her mind she was actually very proud of her wings and of being a butterfly. And then, out of nowhere, everything took a turn for the worse. His grip tightened for a moment as his muscles tensed and then, to her horror, all that charm dropped and he was looming over her with a purpose that Parvana didn't like. No, she didn't just dislike it. It terrified her and, in that moment of horror, a crackling of static would be heard and a small gray figure would pop into existence between Parvana and Osias. The Mome growled protectively, baring sharp little teeth at the creature that had frightened its owner. Faolin gave her a little strength and the butterfly stepped back slightly. "You can't be entirely certain of that." She said, twisting his own logic back at him. "Someone's always awake, and watching." Oh lord she hoped that was true, if it wasn't she didn't have much of a chance.

The sudden crackling appearance caught him slightly off guard and he tensed further, curling his body a bit. When he sighted the small creature, which dared bare it's fangs at him, he do so in return. He lips pulled up exposing all of his yellowed fangs at the small beast. He wasn't concerned with it really, and he'd caught the sight of it's owner moving out of the corner of his eye anyhow and he moved forward a bit, fur bristling as he did.
Yes, someone, but when you encounter that someone you can never be so foolish as to believe there's another.
Oh how he enjoyed the tension that lifted it's self in the air when someone was afraid, it was truly intoxicating and drove him on. It'd been so long since he'd felt the rush of it really and then this butterfly happened along just as his boredom was going to crush him. It was so convenient that it was actually.... comical. Actually it was hilarious, really and the rat was unable to keep up his looming stance. Instead he doubled forward onto one of his knees and just started to laugh. The suddenness and force of it was nearly enough to make him fall fully on the ground. Gods what was wrong with him?
[[ OOC: I has an actual medical condition for him now, if you'd like to know. It's rather fun and short term n.n PNP ]]

(Lol, what would the term be?)
Parvana shuddered, abhorred that this man had ever appeared charming at all. Why in the name of the Suits did she trust a Lowlander like him in the first place?!
She didn't reply to his comment, didn't know what to say. Inwardly she was hoping and pleading with whatever powers that be that someone be there. They didn't even have to come to her rescue, just be there. Anything to dissuade him from further attack and give her the chance to run.
Faolin, more bristled than Parvana had ever seen him, remained firmly between his summoner and the rat but when the rat fell to his knees in that horrible rack of laughter the Mome let out a startled squeak and suddenly let out a bolt of electricity from its mouth. If the rat didn't manage to avoid the sudden spark, he'd be hit with a jolt of electricity similar to being caught by a tazer and his body wold spasm for 5 seconds until he recovered.
Either way, Vana didn't stop be sure.
The moment that burst of electricity registered in her mind, the butterfly ran.

Lysaras stood in the lower hall, stiff and tense after hearing those odd sounds from her left. It had sounded like eerie laughter and something else...loud and sudden. She was running in that direction before her though process had even completed. The laughter had sounded like...Osias..."Osias? Osias, is that you, where-?"She let out a startled yelp and screeched to a halt as something else barreled toward her...too late, she wouldn't be able to swerve and unless the Butterfly was more conscious of the course she was taking, they would crash. Breathing heavily, the Queen of Spades regained her feet, staring at the girl before her...what on earth was she...? No, no time for that, if Osias was in a mood...she would need to stay, no panicking allowed. This was awful...she had so hoped that perhaps tonight she could finally talk to Lleur... "I...who are you? Are you all right, my dear?""

Osias certainly wasn't himself and anyone who'd really taken any effort to now him would know that, but the butterfly and her pet certainly wouldn't. Yes, he was the type to abuse and take advantage of women, and girls, but had he been in the right mind he wouldn't do it here. He had grown rather fond to these grounds and had actually tried to be civil, bot not now, not tonight, not while he was.... ailing. And that's precisely what was happening, even though he wasn't fully aware of it.
The shock, however, made him fall forward and land face first into the ground and then on his side. He couldn't move on his own accord and, even though it was only five seconds, the momentary fear, and of course the electricity, were enough to jolt him back to a more sensible state of mind, angry, but sensible. He got back to his feet, fully intent on shredding the little butterflies wings after dragging her off a bit away from the palace when he caught sight of Lysaras. For a moment he paused, bristled and still looking very much like the frightening beast he could be before he straightened himself up and bit his tongue, literally, and moved toward the two.
Damn.

Oh god, oh god what had she done?! She would've scolded Faolin for shocking the rat if only she hadn't been so afraid, so very afraid. The little butterfly kept ending up in these terrible situations and nothing Tolius could say ever seemed to prepare her for the big bad world.
Without thinking she had rounded a corner and was running headlong in any direction that would carry her away from Osias when, to her horror, she collided with another figure and went stumbling back before falling on her rear. She shook heavily but her trembles came to an abrupt halt when she saw who stood over her.
A bipedal canine, a very beautiful bipedal canine. Ohhh...! She'd run into the Queen of Spades! Good job, Vana.
"I... I'm Parvana." She had hurriedly regained her feet and while she wanted so desperately to focus on this new figure, she had to worry about the rat behind her -- for he was behind her now. "I'm okay now... I think."
She drew closer to Lysaras, looking absolutely fretful but trying desperately to think of the best way to handle this. Osias had been gentlemanly enough for the most part and she didn't want to cause trouble by pointing fingers. "I'm afraid Osias startled me and my Mome and he well... gave him a bit of a nasty shock." The butterfly flushed and her wings fluttered in an adorable display of nerves. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you, Your Majesty."

Lysaras's eyes widened a bit as she heard the girl speak...she didn't sound like the type to lie...and once she caught a glimpse of Osias she didn't feel she had any reason to doubt that the rat had, at the very least, chased Parvanna.
"It's all right, my dear. No need to fret, why don't you come with me to the kitchens and we'll pick up some tea. Do you like tea?"
She looked back over her shoulder at the Rat. She wasn't angry, that much was obvious...but she did look slightly disappointed, her eyebrows knit together slightly.
"Osias? Would you mind too terribly informing the man at the front gate that his shift is due for a change, I've already sent Travis down there but they appear to be talking and I want Lyr to be awake tomorrow for his brother's presentation. Thank you."
She preferred to give Osias the benefit of the doubt...he had served their Court so well for so long...she didn't want him to be offended...even if he had done something to warrant a punishment. The girl looked fine, and she was sure Osias wouldn't harm her now...tea would help, or coffee she was sure.

His ears went back a bit, but he turned himself just so that the mark on his chest would be all the more noticible... he wasn't sure if she knew just how far he'd come whilst staying here. He'd arrived here as a 6 and he certainly thought that if she didn't know... well... that red K certainly would be a surprise wouldn't it?
He was, however, mindful of his place and Lysaras didn't appear to be angry even though she certainly was trying to get rid of him. He dipped his head, muttered a formality and turned, stalking off toward the two in question. He was still seething on the inside and his body, still tensed, spoke volumes on his present temperament. His interaction with the two men would not be pleasant either, even though it would remain non-violent unless one of them decided to take it to that level. But despite being a lowlander, he was an angry King... not many were foolish enough to spur one on.
