Still following the boy, Cal looked at her surroundings, so that maybe she would finally get used to them. The first time she had visited this area was by carriage, and there was a huge difference now that she was walking on all four legs. At least she had Sascha to guide her.
When the bat eagle went "Huh", she knew what he was going to ask her. And ask he did. Since he had put his trust in her, she could only be truthful with the boy. "Yes, in fact, I have been to the Court of Hearts before. I guess I should have mentioned that earlier." She said this with a bit of an embarrassed grin on her face. "However, that time I came by carriage, which gave me a much different view of the Highlands. So I'm very glad I bumped into you. Ha, or rather, that you bumped into me." Giving the boy another smile, they continued on their way.
Finally, they reached the edge of town, where the cobblestone streets began. Cal's heart fluttered slightly at the thought of possibly seeing Xiven again on this venture of hers. But, the point of this trip wasn't to visit the Court, so the chances were slim. Her thoughts joined the present again with Sascha's exclamation. She saw the little tea shop, which was in it's own little niche on the street. Thank goodness it was close. She looked forward to be able to rest her paws again. All that walking was beginning to take it's toll.
