She really was a nice girl to say something like that. He laughed at the comment about him being interesting. Not many people had said that to him without adding something that took away the charm. "You're really quite interesting yourself. I've never seen someone like you before."
A small Corvie feline with leaves growing out of her. Not to mention she was see through, as if she were some sort of Ghost. But still that could just be his eyes playing a trick on him.
And then she asked a strange question.
He didn't realize what she was talking about for a moment. He raised an eyebrow as he looked at her with his head tilted to one side. "You mean... what realm do I come from?" He paused and shrugged. "I suppose you don't see my realm very often. I'm from the Hisstor Wastes." He lifted his arm up, pulling the sleeve back to reveal his bracelet. "Bone ornamentation. I don't think there's a Hisstor without one."

Khloris tilted her head to the side as Conway lifted his arm and pulled back his sleeve, revealing the bone chain. At first she was not quite sure what to make of it, tilting her head to the side.
It was definitely an . . . odd thing to use as an ornamentation then again her sister had glass decorating her whole body. And she had been born with that.
There was something that really captured her attention before, especially since she knew nothing about the Hisstors. "Is there . . . well is there a ghost attached to that?"
It seemed like the kind of thing that might involve a ghost. She was assuming that it at least used to be living, right? It logically, to her, followed a trail and if that was the case well then, she might just have to give these Hisstors a visit to further her studies.

Conway stared for a few long moments as he tried to process what she had just asked. Ghost? Not many people believed in ghosts. In fact the only person that he had met who believe in such a thing was Javaid. And that was something completely different. The man, after all, had the clear ability to see and detect them... which was the only reason Conway actually believe that they were real.
It was surprising to find anyone else who did. "No. I was born with it. It's a rather strange mutation... and I can only assume its rare considering I've never met anyone with it. Part of my spine is actually outside of my body and this is attached to it by a muscle with my vertebrae on it."
If that didn't make her run away, nothing probably would. So he might as well bring up the subject of Ghosts. "So... you believe in ghosts?"

She tried her best not to look too dejected over his answer. Maybe it had been asking too much that an honest answer would fall into her lap. If her sister had been here to hear it she would have laughed.
At his question her hears perked up a little. Only thinking about the probably outcome -that he would think her a fool - she gave a hesitant nod. "Please do not think I am, well, weird or anything, but I do believe in them. I have not yet found proof of them but there has to be some out there somewhere."
It was her hope and dreams. She wanted to be a ghost hunter. Not that she wanted to hurt them . . . could you even hurt a ghost? She just wanted to find them and learn why they had become ghost. It was all greatly fascinating stuff, honestly.

Conway shrugged. "I know someone who believes in ghosts. I think he's seen proof of them too."
Actually, Conway believed every word that Javaid had spoke concerning Ghosts. He highly doubted that the Queen had lied to him. After all, they treated each other like family. The Joker sighed rather pitifully. He had to go back to see the other Hisstor soon. After he had a job here for a little while he would just pop back for a visit.
But right now he had to focus on the girl that he was speaking to. She seemed a little strange... beyond the ghost thing she was transparent herself. Maybe he should just leave before he got too engaged in conversation... though she did seem perfectly harmless.
He still didn't trust her though. What if she did something with the information he gave her?

Khloris could barely restrain herself from bouncing in her seat at the news! He knew someone who also believed in them? And the person had some proof! She had yet to meet someone, even in conversation, who was so close to her goal. Maybe she could meet them?
"Do you think the person would be willing to meet me? I - I - I, Just, wow! You really know someone who believes in them?"
It was only as an after thought that he might be joking with her. He would not be that cruel, right? Then again she had been laughed at more than once before over the subject.
"You are not pulling my leg, are you?" She asked hesitantly, biting her bottom lip.
Clenching her hands in her lap to help keep them from shaking in her excitement she held her breath, waiting for his reply. Oh please, oh please, oh please She could not help but whisper to herself.

Conway was more than a little surprised by the sudden change of the girl's attitude. Right. Not many people believed in that sort of thing. She had every reason to be excited. It didn't make it any less surprising.
"Ah... no I'm not pulling your leg. He really does believe in ghosts. He's just a bit of a hermit." Conway shrugged. "I don't know if he would appreciate someone... coming for a visit."
An outsider especially. Javaid didn't seem to like anyone beyond Hisstors. And really Conway hadn't seen the man interact with anyone beyond himself. So if he told the little girl about him, what would the man do? He shifted awkwardly. She was a girl. So really did he have to worry about her traveling all the way to Hisstor? Probably not. But there was still the issue of what if she did?

At his explanation of his acquaintance's nature. Not that she could really blame him. After all she would not really expect someone who believed in ghost to be outgoing, per se. Not to say that he could not be, just . . . it seemed a little odd of a thought.
"Oh. Well, I guess that would be true."
She was quite for a long moment while she tried to come to terms with something akin to disappointment. Well . . . maybe not everything was at a lost? He had said that he did not think the guy would like people just coming over, right? So maybe . . . maybe if she wrote him first, and asked if it would be okay if she met him? Then she could prove that she was not some crazy person. Right?
Well, mum always said that if you did not ask then the answer would definitely be no.
She was hesitant to ask but taking a deep breath she mustered her courage. "Um . . . not to . . . well . . . do you think that maybe you or I could write him and explain my interest? Maybe he would be okay with just writing letters? Then later, maybe, you know, he would not mind a visit so much?"

Conway blinked. Well. This girl was terribly persistent. He shifted to play with his bracelet. Should he give her the information that she wanted, or should he just give her false information?
"I suppose that wouldn't hurt. But mail doesn't exactly work the same way it does here. If you want to send him a letter I can deliver it. I mean, unless you want to trust someone who doesn't know him personally to deliver a letter to a hermit." He gave the girl a curious look. What would she say? Would she hurry off to get a pen and piece of paper right now? Would she ask to meet him at a later date? Or would she just try and ask for an address?
It would be interesting regardless. She seemed like a nice young girl. Harmless. Still terribly strange despite everything. It was still rather unnerving that she didn't seem to be completely there.
