Anya was liking this handsome sparrow more and more. He was everything a gentleman should be and much more, a real and proper Queen. She dipped her head in thanks as she slipped through the door into the room, golden eyes taking the room in with eager curiosity.
She'd never been in a Queen's chambers before...
"You're study is very handsome, Theofilus."
While books and things were not her forte, even she could appreciate the sheer number of them and the wealth of knowledge he must have at his fingertips. And a diviner... Anya made her way to the desk as directed and sat before him, eyes taking in the crystal ball and candle with yet more curiosity.
All of this was positively intriguing.
"My future? Yes, that would be alright by me." It was a little unnerving to think of, him seeing into her future, but she loved the thought regardless. How many Cards could say they knew what their future had in store?

"Why thank you, I take pride in my study," He said cheerfully as he produced a set of matches from one of the various pigeon holes in the desk. Theofilus lit the small candle with it, setting the crystal ball on the top. This was the easiest way for him to use his power.
He put the feeling of being utterly ridiculous behind him. Normally he didn't let people watch but why not? "All right, so your future, Miss Anya...." he began. Activating his Queen ability to scry, the man ran one of his gloved finger tips along the edge of the glass. The swirls in the crystal ball seemed to say absolutely nothing to the onlooker, the Queen, however saw very clear answers in the swirls of the mist.
He wasn't going to go a full hour at this. All he needed was a short answer.
Snapping out of his trance he looked at Anya. "It's a bit too far in the future for me to get a clear message. But it would appear that you meet someone rather influential in bander breeding. This person leads you to a successful business venture. Beyond that, I would have to guess the meaning. But this person isn't someone you seemed to expect to be successful."
That was terribly vague. On the bright side he hadn't seen anything tragic like he normally did. "I'm sorry it's so vague, but this event is an important one if I'm seeing it. Look for a man who is wearing a clover in his tie."
(( OOC: XD; uh... there you go Vyn. ))

The man with a clover in his tie? That couldn't be anymore vague, could it? At very least it was something favorable, and not just favorable but in favor of her business in banders, that was the best kind of good fortune. And knowing to look for someone who she might usually overlook... That was perhaps the best knowledge of all.
Especially with her bad habit of overlooking those who seem... less than successful.
She was far too accustomed to being on the top of the ladder to spend too much time focusing on those who stood on the runs beneath her or, for that matter, the people who supported the ladder all together.
"Now that, Your Majesty, is a lovely prediction, vague though it may be and good advice too boot." Anya giggled pleasantly, leaning forward to peer at the sparrow and his equipment. It was all so intriguing, divination, and so very beyond her. "Thank you very much for the demonstration and I do so look forward to seeing what becomes of it in the future."

He had seen something else in his future. But he was pretty he hoped that he had mistook the figure he had seen. One could only hope. He shook it off and gave the woman a cordial smile. "I wish everyone's future was as prosperous as yours."
Now that she was in his study what was there for her to do? Or rather, what was there for him to do? His smile quickly shifted into a grin. "Is there any other thing you would like for me to demonstrate. I have a rather interesting array of things that I could show you. Since you're the guest I would be more than happy to entertain your whims."
Of course he meant whatever she wanted. It had been entirely too long since he had "entertained" a stranger and actually beat around that metaphorical bush. For once he enjoyed not being blunt.

Anya smiled, oblivious to any darker undertones his premonition had carried, and found her gaze sweeping the study along with his. There was a good many things that caught her interest within the room but it was the sparrow himself that her gaze finally lingered.
"Anything?" She debated lightly, her tone flirtatious with temptation. There weren't very many lady-like ways to say the things lingering on her mind, but Anya definitely intended to keep her airs about her. It was good to make men bend for you, instead of the other way around. "Perhaps you can show me a more... personal demonstration of your... skills?" The handsome Queen was definitely of a romantic quality, his whole persona sang of it, and Anya was quick to assume that this trait followed him into the bedroom.
Anya lightly ran her tongue along the edge of her beak, smiling fetchingly at the male across from her.

Theofilus smiled, trying his best not to turn it into a "dirty old man" smirk that his children complained of every once in a while. The Queen leaned forward, smile on his face. "I would be more than happy to show you my skills, Miss Anya. However I think it would be best to remove your coat before we get into anything too serious. I wouldn't want anything to happen to something of yours, even if it pales in comparison to your beauty."
He said as he removed his hat, bowing slightly to her. He offered her a hand with a smile. Tonight was going to be a fun sort of night that he was going to enjoy to the fullest. At least, that's what he hoped.
Something in the back of his head accused him of being a cradle robber, the other voice in the back of him snuffed it out completely. Nothing was going to get in the way of him having fun at the moment.

The quetzal smiled delicately, non-pulsed by the 'dirty old man' smirk as she leaned back to slide her coat smoothly off her shoulders. Her every movement was made with complete knowledge of her curves and, of course, how they affected the sparrow before her. She'd already gotten the 'in' she was looking for and all that was really left was to continue wrapping her finger around the handsome, powerful prize.
"You're such a charm, Your Majesty..." The quetzal reached out daintily, taking his hand in her own and allowing him to help her to her feet.
She moved elegantly to his side, tilting a golden orb to peer up at him as she pressed ever so slightly against him; suggestive and delicate in the same breath. Such a wonderful man... Her luck had really won out this evening! Anya allowed Theofilus to lead her where he willed, delighted by the delicious prospects of things to come. Never in all of her years had she imagined she'd find herself sharing a bed with The Queen of Diamonds!
