Forgetting all about making the tea, she busied herself pulling out cookies and placing a few on each plate. "Do you want some milk with them?" She asked aloud though before he could give an answer she was digging through the icebox to find some. After a few more minutes of setting everything to straights she finally had everything sorted and took her seat across from him.
She heard the hesitation in his voice when he asked about their uncle. While she really liked her uncle, she could understand his confusion on the matter. It was not everyday that someone met someone like Uncle Iphis.
"Uncle," She confirmed with a nod. Scratching her ear she hummed softly while trying to think of an answer to his question "Well, since he only just left I would imagine he would be gone for at least a few days. He's bound to get caught up in his work, like usual."
Zeev gave a low growl as he was almost buried to death - yet again - by a pile of pink and yellow frilly fabrics. It seemed to him that Iphis was a walking miracle to have survived living in her apartment this way.
She was going to be the death of him, and he was about five seconds away from just burning all of it to ashes.

Vic had also forgotten about the tea, at least for now. His ears tilted forward to listen to the girl's movements with interest, though his gaze shifted back to the cookies. They looked really good, at least. He picked one up and took a cautious bite, then his eyes were back on the girl as she answered him.
Vicious had, unsurprisingly, never been to the Court of Hearts, but he was interested in going. He was sure Papa had been there before from some of the stories he'd heard, but even now he wasn't entirely certain what Papa had done there. He glanced down at Julia, then back towards Khloris again. "How is Aunt Dre related to us again?" Maybe that would help him ferret out the truth. It did not occur to him to just outright ask if Khloris knew what Papa Rai had done there.

Taking a bite of one of her own cookies - Iphis really did make wonderful cookies - she thought over his newest question.
"Uhh . . . Lets see if I can remember this. It gets kind of confusing some times. I believe my mom said, Aunt Dre is Uncle Ira's daughter, and Ira is Grandpa Rai's son. And Aunt Dre just got married, you know, and her husband is my Uncle Iggy who is my Grandpa Ader's other son, my mother's half-brother." She gave a nod of her head greatly pleased with herself that she had remembered all that. She was fairly certain she had gotten it all right.
Finally giving up on trying to clean their home, he threw a few piles of oddly colored designs into the closet, a few more into one of the bedrooms, and the rest in Iphis' work room. That should take care of most of the mess. At least for now.
Heaving a sigh he headed towards the kitchen.

Vic likely wouldn't have believed her even with her warning that it was confusing, except as she kept talking it was obvious that she meant it. His eyes were likely bulging slightly by the time she finished explaining, though he would certainly try to cover if he had realized it. Going step by step, as she had, he guessed it wasn't too bad, but the whole thing was still rather baffling and filled with connections upon connections.
It made him wonder, actually, if there was more siblings and half-siblings and aunts and uncles who weren't really related to them but sort of were in confusing ways.
"Oh," he said in answer, though she had also told him how they were related to each other, though he didn't think he could repeat it back to her if needed.
He glanced up as Zeev came into the kitchen, munching on his cookie some more.
