There was still a light flush of colour at the skunk's cheeks but she was able to meet the man's gaze a bit better this time around. Still, when the doe came in, the Sorgaire Range woman's natural reticence and her long-time lack of self confidence closed her mouth and stilled her tongue. Falling silent as the Heart took Ashwin's attention for a time, Kelasia went to the leashes, picking out a pair of deep green ones with matching collars for the two banders. When the doe finally left, the skunk approached the man again.
If the Court had taught her anything, there was a lot of different coins to pay for things one desired, even if she wasn't generally one to follow those types of things. Still, an exception could be made on occasion...
"I think we could arrange something if you are still interested and would include these leashes and collars...?" she gave him a faint, hopeful look. She did enjoy his company.

The feline and been biding his time. His plans were taking longer than he liked, but this part hadn't been all that important until now. In his mind, the fact that he had been putting off this one small step was the reason he was having such a hard time putting everything together. Who said he had to be a Queen before he started all his major money making schemes? Maybe, just maybe taking this step would help boost him along, or at least get him a bit more motivated. He entered the shop, eyes glancing around at all of the other patrons, he had hoped he would be the only one in the shop today, but alas, plans just never work out perfectly. In the end, it didn't matter. He could wait his turn, at least that way he would seem more patient than he really was. He took a position at the counter, waiting for the shop keeper to notice him.

"You're really pretty, aren't you," Senka observed the little creature she'd had to make such a fuss over to even see, taking in the glossy, speckled coat and the sable eyes. Besides an initial, cursory glance, the bander was doing its best to ignore her. Sitting on its hind legs, it cleaned one paw with a practiced sort of loftiness that Senka almost envied.
Senka stretched out a paw, slowly, offering it up for the bander to scent; the creature took a whole five minutes considering the offered appendage before it actually did anything about it. Senka got her fingers nipped for her trouble.
It wasn't a painfully hard bite, though, and eying the bander Senka thought that just maybe they understood each other.
I hope you like noodles.
She ambled in the direction she had last seen Ashwin, digging into her purse as she went; "Ten tokens, right?"

Through all the customers came a ball of multicolored feathers followed by a rather agitated mechanical mome rath. Grinning like a small demon and beaming with smug pride, Kaden skipped up to the counter with a bag of tokens clutched in his beak. He had waited until his father was distracted and, with great pleasure, had escaped. Sure Doorie tagged after him like a shadow, but Dad was not there. HAHA. He was little more than 10 or so, but he had an air of TROUBLE that could not be ignored. It sparkled in his eyes, in his grin, and even in his actions. With a delighted chirp, he set the bag of tokens n the counter and grinned up at Ashwin. "Heya mister! I'd like a bander, don't care 'bout the colours, but I want one with lots of energy, yeah?" The mome at his heels was making a rather obnoxious mechanical/whirring sound in its agitation, but Kaden ignored it as he grinned up at Ashwin. "I've got all the tokens needed there in the coin purse."(I'd like Sandy, please. ^_^)

(( ; So... many... people. *eep*)) "A bit less open to being coddled than to biting off your hand for trying to stick something like that over her head, but yes, I get your drift." He grabbed up the brown bander with her brightly-spotted rump and set her down near the squirrel. With this many people in here, he would have to be so careful to make sure no one had their ankles bitten or their feathers chewed. "If she suits you well enough, she'll be five tokens in total. You seem to have have quite the collection of items there, so I doubt you'll need more...?" The words ended on a slightly questioning note. When the Queen spoke up, the man turned his head to pay attention. One didn't disregard the attention and patience of someone so highly ranked, especially not when they looked to be able to handle themselves in the world. It called for manners, if not necessarily the kind of attention he would dote upon attractive women. "Of course, your Majesty. Just one moment." He moved to procure the banders and items in question, deftly slipping the collars over their heads with years of practice, and moved them near the man. "That will be twenty-eight tokens for the banders and accessories, and if you're interested in a Highland champion... well. They're pricey things, but you seem a big spender as it is. I'd recommend visiting the Highland village of Chayth and inquiring after either Paisley or Ylvonne. Both of them are the breeders I recommend. If you'll excuse me."Aderlass: ((Images with leashes/collars will come once they're finished <3 Same with Zingy's image - please forgive my slowness)) InfoName: Tony (temp) ID: BS029 Color: Yellow Tabby Male Genetics: XY rrYybbCc DdPpttll InfoName: Zingy (temp) ID: BS030 Color: Blue Dapple Tabby Female Genetics: XX rryyBbCC ddPpttll Kelasia's words and offer couldn't possibly be ignored, especially not by him. She had been such a lovely thing when they'd last had the opportunity to meet and he wouldn't mind sharing another evening with her if the opportunity arose. Which it looked like it would. "Lovely lady, I have every intention of taking you up on that offer. Just name the night that would be best for you. And as always, you have quite exceptional taste in banders." His voice lowered slightly. "For you, I could easily lower the price of banders and accessories both to twenty."Sera: ((Images with leashes/collars will come once they're finished - please forgive my slowness)) InfoName: Jelly (temp) ID: BS031 Color: Purple Blanket Male Genetics: XY RryyBbCc DdppTTLl InfoName: Leafy (temp) ID: BS032 Color: Green Dapple Leopard Male Genetics: XY rrYyBBCc ddPpTtLL The bright-colored Morganberry did catch his eye and the way the man looked at him made him sure that this was yet another customer. He avoided sighing. One should never begrudge more business. Instead he nodded brusquely and met the man's eye. "Can I help you with something?" Lollygagging was not the name of the game today... He hadn't been paying attention to how the mix-breed child with the horns had been getting on with the bander, but when the girl came up and pulled out her money, he certainly took note. "Yes, ten would be the flat rate for that one."Dark: InfoName: Cotton (temp) ID: BS033 Color: Periwinkle Tabby Leopard Male Genetics: XY RryyBbcc DDPPttLL And then, just when he thought he would be able to clear the children from his shop - child, really, but young people and banders rarely mixed when you were trying to avoid serious injury and angry parents - another one walked in! This one looked far, far worse than the last one, and had a low rank to boot. With children, he didn't have to worry so much about the manners and tried to stop his hackles from rising. This one was no good, he could just feel it. "You want energy, I can give you energy," he said grimly. Looping a leash in his hand, he brought out a khaki bander and set it down in front of the child, tying the leash off to a ring on his desk. It promptly proceeded to try to choke itself as soon as it was on the ground and could attempt to dart away.

Blyn smiled when the shopkeeper noticed him. Good, right down to business, he liked that. He canted his head, considereing what the best route to go would be. Yes, I have heard that this is the place to purchase Banders. I am interested in a purchasing a pair. He nodded like it was the most common thing in the world for him to be doing in the middle of the day. He didn't know what possesed him to buy a pair, but it was out now, may as well go along with it. It could work out better this way after all. His mouth generally didn't get him into too much trouble. He sat on his haunches, waiting to see what the shopkeeper would say, her fluffy tail swaying lightly behind him, a temptation to anything that liked to pounce or attack. He wasn't worried about that right now, just the task at hand. He was starting to rethink is undesisiveness at his initial choice of a pair, it was the best thing to do afterall, he did plan on breeding them after all, can't do that with just one.

Ashwin raised an eyebrow at the brightly colored man. "Well, this is the place to purchase a bander, yes, if it couldn't be inferred from the creatures... running around everywhere. And the leashes and collars and whatnot. If you're looking for a pair, the prices could vary. Do you have specific ones in mind, or does it not matter to you?"
To further the man's choice, he pushed a catalog towards him that had the pictures of their current stock. "Ignore the pet names - those are just for show. You can of course rename them whatever you want. Red and Blue, for all I care. Let me know if you find something that interests you."

The feline thought for a moment, taking a second to look through the catalog. Such pretty little things. He had to admit that more than a few had caught his eyes as he looked, but in the end there was no way he could decide. As much as I would love to say that I did have a pair in mind, I fear that I don't. I guess just take two that you have been trying to get rid of and I will take them. He gave a slight shrug after he spoke, like it really didn't matter one bit to him. Now this was probably something he shouldn't have said. That statement gave the man free riegn to give him the two worst, il tempered Banders in the place. Well, too late now, he would just have to grin and bare it, and pretend that he at least half way knew what he was doing.

Doorie continued to make miserably loud noises, trying hard to gain attention and stop the troublesome muttbird from doing anything irrational. It didn't work. Kaden brought up a foot and placed it to her head, gently giving her a backward shove so that she went sliding back several feet. A smirk quirked the edges of his beak with Ashwin bristled, well acquainted with that reaction from others. He'd learned to ignore it or enjoy it depending on the situation -- negative attention was better than none at all, of course. All thoughts, of course, ceased the moment the khaki bander was set before him and the bird's feathers puffed up in a thrill of delight. "Ha!" He squeed out triumphantly, barely able to contain his excitement as he went on, "It's perfect! I'll take it!" The money was on the counter, enough for one bander if he'd done his math right. Specially a bander with too much energy and nothing all too special about its markings. Kaden was impulsive, but he wasn't dumb. Not with parents like Loreta and Hatter -- they taught him well...even if it didn't seem like he was listening. Meanwhile, a loudly dressed man in a top hat had just stepped through the door and gathered up the agitated mome rath. She was still making noises of discontent, but they were quieter now and she didn't seem quite so...panicked. Hatter arched a brow, casting his gaze up to the counter at the shop keep and then down at the ball of feathers bouncing before the sand-colored bander. He should have figured this was what the boy was up to. He'd only been talking about getting his own bander since...well, since he'd realized that Mango was a mischievous marshmallow not his war-pet/sidekick. It should be fine. Hatter would just have some explaining to do when Loreta got in...like always.

Kelasia flashed him a shy, yet sudden grin, glad to have the opportunity to spend more time with the man even if, *ahem* she was still a bit shy about wot they would be doing.
"I'll come by later this week," she promised. "This time, I'll cook for you." This was actually another source of pleasure for her. Mnemosyne had been forcing all types of awful and horrible lessons upon the skunk, but they had finally paid off in that she could now cook one meal without burning it or herself. Or setting the kitchen on fire. Or her apron. Or any of the people around her.
The kitchen staff at the Palace of Diamonds had not been pleased. Of course, the staff was often displeased with Mnem's experiments in the realm of "Kelasia's Betterment", but no one was willing to argue with the Yarrow female.
So, Kel quickly gathered the new banders and hustled out of the shoppe to allow Ashwin more freedom to work.
(( Should i start another thread for this one, Jenn? <3 Also, are their colours correct? oO;; ))
