He tried very hard to keep himself from shrinking under the man's gaze, but it was difficult. He didn't know what the man was thinking, and was unaware of the fact that he was pondering the regions that shone through on his pelt rather then really thinking anything negative about he himself. No, no.... I won't give in! And with that thought he straightened himself up again and puffed out his chest a bit trying to look much bigger then he felt.
I like the.. .uh... purple one.
He'd always fancied the color of his claws and that specific bander was so very close to their hue. He was quite glad he'd learned the names of a few colors, and would have liked to have asked what the others were called, but he kept such thoughts to himself. He was also mildly disappointed that there weren't any here the color of his roses, his secret roses, but any disappointment he felt didn't show.
Is that... alright?
He cursed himself mentally for letting that moment of insecurity out and hoped it wouldn't offend Ashwinn to terribly much. He seemed pleased enough to see his other customer, whom Tavor took a moment to look up at.

Dilis was giddy the whole week, she kept wanting to check to see if her bander was in yet but she was being a good patient little girl. She must have annoyed Father to no end talking of what she would name it and all the details of the bander she wanted. She wanted so badly for him to go in with her but he had business to attend to in the Capital. She entered Ashwin’s shoppe more confidently than the last time and called to him.
“Ashwin… sir, I wonder if my bander has come in yet? I remember you said it may take a week. Thank you again by the way for the.. bander training; it proved to be very helpful” She winked at him and waited patiently for his response, hoping his answer would be of the positive.

Ashwin turned back to the boy when he spoke and leaned on the counter so that he could look down more comfortably. "I'm not the one buying the bander, boy. You tell me. It's alright if you have the ten tokens needed. Otherwise, you're gawking." He wasn't being unusually rude to the boy. He was just never especially polite to customers who weren't attractive women like Kelasia. Or like the elegant Avington feline who just walked through his door. His lips turned up in something between a smile and a smirk as he was addressed. Obviously Kel was going to take her time with the catalog and that was just fine. She had been one to know what she wanted before and be quite sure in that fact. "Of course, Miss Dilis. I was all too happy to help. Your bander came in early this morning, so your timing couldn't be better. Let me go up and get him for you. It'll only take a minute." So saying, he nodded to the others in the shop and turned to go upstairs, eyes sweeping the pens until they landed on a brilliantly blue form. He nabbed the young male, barely older than a kit. The breeder had only just released this litter for sale and the quick purchase pleased them both. The younger they were, the more trainable they tended to be. He came back down with the creature in his arms. "Is this anything like what you had in mind, dear?"InfoName: ID: BS028 Color: Blue Male Genetics: XY rryyBBCC DdPpTtll

Liv waltzed happily into the shop. She loved banders, though many of them were aggressive little beasts, if you got lucky they were just the sweetest and most loyal protectors... She looked into the various cages at different banders. Her attention was caught by the shop keep. She smiled widely and nodded. Than two banders caught her eye... Jelly and Millie were their names. She looked at their coloring. Both would blend in so well from predators in the Range... she thought, seeing the snow-like marking on their rumps. But, really, any one will do, so long as it fits what she needs. "Excuse me, Mr. Ashwin? I need a companion for my job outdoors back at the Sorgaire Range. I'd like to purchase a bander that, in your opinion, will be the most loyal to me."[random, plz]

Kel smile brightened at Ashwin's greeting; she was pleased that things were still rather smooth between them. "I've been busy," she answered quietly, one hand briefly touching the red K that now graced her chest. She was humble, but still exceedngly proud of the accomplishment.
At Ashwin's response, her face seemed to almost fall. "Oh, there's someone else interested in Jelly?" She bit her lip uneasily, uncertain of how to proceed. Jelly would have been the perfect gift for her friend and none of the others in stock would be as fitting as the little purple. "It's so perfect for my friend..." She glanced towards Ashwin in hopes of a clue from him towards wot he wanted to do. "I'm hoping to purchase Leafy as well," she said softly. She was here to purchase two banders, not one.

She smiled wide when Ashwin brought down the bander. "Yes definitely! He is exactly what I wanted, thank you so much for finding him for me. However, what is his temperament like? I do still worry is all. At least now I know how to train them so he would not be so vicious to me."

He was now trying to just ignore the way the shop keep said things and just went by what he said, it didn't help much though... .bother. His ears perked as the other Sorgaire spoke, full blooded one that is, and he felt instantly bad. She wanted the one he'd initially picked for a friend? Well, he could understand that, it was most definitely logical.... and kind. And thus he'd switch it up a bit, pretending not to have seen one nearest to his original pick.
Actually, upon a second look, I'd like that one... the pink.... with the stripes.
He nodded to make it seem like he was more sure, and had most certainly left the questioning tone off the end of the statement. It wasn't the exact one he'd wanted, but the creature's appearance was rather nice just the same, and if he could make the woman happy it just made it all the better didn't it? He looked up at her then, giving her a smile. Yes, yes, this would all do nicely now.

The doe carefully made her way through all those in front of her, just the ones that seemed undecided and confused, until she came to stand behind a few that were gathered around the very hidden counter ahead. Though the 'K' on her chest spoke of her importance, she felt no need to jump ahead and demand the shopkeep's attention. She wasn't here for the ordinary run of the mill banders that everyone else was... When finally his eyes scanned over to her, Sekhmet smiled broadly and spoke loudly enough to be heard over the assorted noises in the shop. "I'm looking for a very particular type of bander. A Highland Champion actually. I figure and expert like yourself might know where I could find one who selectively breeds these fine banders?" A little complimenting went a long way, she found. The man was busy, and she wanted to be out of his hair as soon as possible, but she wanted him to be sure to send her only to the best of the best. She was willing to pay quite well.

Ashwin gave the blue a pat on the head and flashed the girl a brief smile. "I'm glad he merits your approval, dear. He's still young and he seems to be a more mellow sort, though I wouldn't recommend putting him near any plants. I know the breeder likes to let them roam in the gardens and they rip the bushes to shreds. He's young enough that you should be able to build a nice bond of loyalty. That'll be five tokens in payment and not one more. After all the work you put into learning about them, I couldn't possibly charge you full price."
His attention returned to the pair who had expressed an interest in the same bander, a stunning purple who had only just come into his shoppe a few days ago. It was quite the specimin and the color was exceptionally vivid, so he could understand the interest. "Well, if you're more interested in Cutie, there doesn't seem to be any problem. That'll be ten tokens. For you, Miss Kel, Jelly and Leafy... quite the attractive pair standing next to one another, I must say. Twenty tokens for both, unless you're interested in making some sort of bargain?"
The badger woman caught his attention next and he considered her charms for a moment before dismissing them in favor of the other quite lovely ladies in the room. He felt no need to pursue another at the moment. What was with the sudden string of people demanding loyalty? You were as likely to get that from one bander as you were another, provided the creature hadn't been abused. He refrained from rolling his eyes and just nodded at the woman. "I think you might do well with Rosa. I think she's been pining after an owner of late and you're likely to get a faster bond there than you would be with another. She'll be five."
And then a rather... gorgeous woman came in and caught his attention with her brilliant colors. His eyebrows rose and he admired her briefly with his eyes before inclining his head politely. Flattery was always on the books of things he liked to hear. Too bad she wasn't after one of his. "I certainly don't deal in Highlanders myself beyond buying one, but if you're after that stock then you'd be best off seeking out Paisley or Ylvonne, depending on the colors you're interested in. The first focuses on bolder colors while the second prefers dilutes."

Oh, Joy! A particular squirrel all but skipped into the store, a bag with her tokens in them in hand. An expression of utter glee that had nothing to do with food or Midori Grass was plastered to her face to the point it hurt. One might have expected this to be a child with how she was acting, but instead it was a fully grown Midori female, tightly coiled dreds bouncing gaily as she made a beeline for the banders, slowing down to approach less menacingly. Cooing to the little banders, she nearly forgot about the owner of the store. Sheepishly, she looked up from her half crouched position and smiled up at the pine martin. Settling back onto her haunches, she managed a grin and took her tokens out of the bag, placing all five up onto the counter. "Um, hello sir! I've.. I've been saving, and now I believe.. I believe I have enough for a bander. For the love of seashells, she could barely get her words out! She giggled nervously. "I'm.. looking for more of a pet.. maybe one who will be sweet and cuddly? I want to dress them up in these cute little seashells, you see..." though the man probably could care less about her intentions, she nervously pulled out the cute little collar made of smooth coral pieces in the shape of beads with smaller seashells hanging off. A single large seashell seemed like it would hold the bander's name on it, like a tag. She had all assortments of things already made, and even a cute jacket made from hemp and dyed a swirl of bright colors. She probably seemed so silly, but she was so excited at the prospect of getting her own little pet that she was nearly delirious with joy. Banders were hard to come by when she was younger, and her mother had never let her have one growing up. Now though, she could get her own! Bwahahahaha...
