A date. Imagine that, just...really. It was so strange. A night with Mikael and...and what? Was she supposed to kiss him? Coo over him? ....make love? She had no idea whatsoever how this 'date' thing worked. After all, she'd seen people preparing for one but she'd never seen one, since most left the Palace for a night out in the Capital or the Highlands. Ah well, there was no need to worry about it right now...
She smiled a bit awkwardly. What was she exactly supposed to say to that? "Well...it's true," she said earnestly, tail swishing a bit as she nibbled on more food. "Uh...you're welcome I guess." Her paws shuffled a bit uncomfortably, and she was more than relieved when a subject change was at hand.
"Well...oh gosh, let's see..." Eldy frowned in thought. "I left the Court back in Mid March so...about seven months or so? Quite a while." After all, most of that was spent in Capital City getting ready, where she'd dawdled a bit, and a lot of the rest was time travelling between Realms, since she was doing it all on foot. She'd never really been out of shape with how much she'd been training all her life, but now, she was noticeably fit, if a bit scrawny and scraggly from lack of food or other amenities.

"Well, it certainly sounds like ya be taking on quite an adventure." She said with a smile, resting her head on a hand as she listened to the girl talk. "I am envious really, of all the traveling people be doing when they come through here. Seems like almost every time I leave the Midori, something awful happens." She gave a soft snort, downing the rest of her tea before fixing herself another cup.
But they weren't here to talk about her, necessarily. This Eldy seemed to have quite the plans... or at least aspirations. Zuberi knew little of a solid -plan-. Wanderers weren't exactly known for sticking to a strict schedule.
"So... where are ya headed after the Midori? Have ya figured that one out, or is it more about where ya feet be takin' ya?"

Eldy nodded, also smiling, and actually rather amazed she'd been away as long as she had. It was crazy...she wondered if her mother missed her. She knew her sister didn't. Her little siblings would be born by now, most likely...she needed to go see them, but unless her mom failed even more epically than she had with her first litter, they'd still be there when she got back. She blinked, smile falling a bit, as Zuberi said something cryptic, but ominous.
"Something awful, huh? Well I'm sorry to hear that." She glanced around the cozy little house, the skulls standing silent sentinel. "If you're a priestess though...can't you...y'know...affect luck and stuff?" She met the woman's good eye somewhat hesitantly, unsure if this would be a bad question to ask.
She couldn't help a soft laugh at the next question. "More the latter, though I suppose I might brave the Lakes after this." Her ear went back in thought. More water did not appeal, but there was something soothing about the ocean; even though she feared it, it also drew her...perhaps she just needed to get used to the idea. Of...water? Of drowning? She didn't know.

"Well.... something like that." Zuberi gave a small smile. "But fate works on its own time. Even the best of magic can only ask a favor from fate most of the time. Doesn't mean she always listens." Hah. If it ever was the truth! Fate had a way of kicking her square in the ass. It always seemed like she could do better for others than she could for herself. But... her magic and her nature was focused around that philosophy; she never hesitated to help others with good intentions.
"Brave the lakes, eh? Sounds like you need a bit of luck, ya self." She said thoughtfully, tapping a finger on her jawline thoughtfully. A smile blossomed from the look of contemplation on her face, and she stood up, rambling through a cupboard. "Say.. would you like a bit of that good luck on your side? I could see what I can do for you. I'll admit though.. the effect is... variable. But nothing bad has come of it yet!"

"That makes sense," Eldy mewled quietly, somewhat subdued to see how...sad the woman looked. Geez, she had no idea magic and luck and Fate could all be so complicated. She'd always thought Fate had dealt her a bit of a rigged hand, and then, without warning, reshuffled that hand back into the deck, thrown the deck into the air, and requested she draw new cards from whereever she wanted them. At least, that was the only way she could see the sudden upset to everything she knew in her life.
At the next statement, her ear perked up in interest. What did Zub mean? She supposed she could use some good luck for once...she tilted her head curiously, expression vaguely worried as she considered the possibilities that resulted from having a 'variable' magic spell used on her...and yet... This was all about taking risks, right?
"Sure, why the hell not," she said with a grin, turning to face the woman as she rifled through her cupboard. "Like you said, I could use a bit of luck." Especially if she was, indeed, going to the Lakes after this.

Normally, this was something that people paid for... but it didn't seem the scrawny cat had much in the way of anything to her name, and Zuberi was just plain in the mood to help someone free of charge. After all.... it wasn't as if she was want for anything.
"Ah! There we are!" She found a fine powder in her cupboard, made of crushed dried kelp of various colors. Powdering her hands with them, she turned around with a grin. There really wasn't much to it; in fact.. the powdered seaweed was more for show; most of the residents rarely believed she was actually doing a spell unless some sort of preparation was done.
Rubbing her hands together, she took on an expression of deep concentration before planting her thumb square between the cat's eyes, focusing on the spell at hand.
"There you go!"
Small Power: Once a month she can "bless" another SD with a small power-boost of good luck. PM the admin when she usues this spell as it will have a die roll chance effect of giving the other SD an item, tiny power, or ....surprise <3 She can use it on herself, but only twice...ever so be careful <3.

A little voice in the back of Eldryia's head told her she should rethink submitting to this. It said she had no idea what could happen, and that this was the biggest risk she'd taken since her ill-thought-out experiences with alcohol. She ignored the voice, after all, why live regretting something you could have done, wondering what would have happened? The look on her face was one of fierce determination: there was no turning back now.
Her eyes crossed a bit as the powdered...something was smudged on her face, and she made a valiant effort not to sneeze, fearing it would disrupt the spell. She had several moments to contemplate what sorts of things might occur. A good luck charm spell...Maybe she'd get wings suddenly, or some sort of other helpful mutation. Maybe she'd get the power to avoid death or calamity or...or maybe it would free her. THAT was certainly a jarring and rather frightening prospect. But what more evidence of 'bad luck' was there than a curse like the one that plagued all of Torquehelm and all its residents? She'd been there now and seen for herself how miserable and gloomy the place was. The curse was very real, but being free from it would be...
All daydreaming stopped as she felt a hot, tingling sensation rush throughout her whole body as the spell was cast...
