We all had weird things we did when we were children. I know I had my fair share of them, activities intended to keep me entertained even when the rest of the world was being incredibly boring. There's a little story behind why I even thought of this again in the first place. Last night as we were going to bed, I did that jump-twitch thing (of course accompanied by dreams of falling), and Tony laughed and mentioned that he hadn't known for the longest time that other people did that, too. So we started talking, and he brought up something I'd been SURE I was the only person to do. When I was younger, on roadtrips, I would stare out the window and imagine someone/something running alongside the car as we drove. For me, it was usually a Digimon. For him, Sonic. But we both did it. Are we crazytowns, or do the rest of you have some strange little habit like that? Something that you might have assumed was yours only and then found out you weren't alone in it. It's SHARING TIME!

O__________O Holy hell Batman. I ALWAYS did this. Never a time without it. It was always my muse, Idalgala- gryphowizardgirl.deviantart.com/art/Muse-Portrait-131912425(The horse monster on the right, though he has changed since then.) Jumping cars, running through fields, plowing through cows...you name it. <3 I just love you guys more now. <3 ~Nathalia

I will admit, I still indulge in it from time to time myself. D: It's part of why I now love long drives - gives my brain an opportunity to just kinda rock and roll. For me, it was rarely the same thing, but it was often some variety of dragon-beast I'd make up on the fly - something that was awesome enough to keep up, of course! There was a lot of jumping and swoop-gliding, but I think I'm getting a little off-topic, here. XD
Sounds like you're feeling the same way I did when I found out I wasn't the only one to do it last night. My mind? Blown. I'm giggling like an idiot right now just knowing that there's even one more person who did it, too. Man, this is so weird.

When I was younger I used to fake-trace my hands around scenery and pretend that if I missed and I "ran" into a bush or something, it was like someone was actually going to run into it. I never set a face to it, but even now if I look out and see a cable pole I can't help but feel like I need to weave my hand around it or someone will run into it XD

DUDE, YES.
For me it was almost always a dark-colored wolf-like creature. Running and jumping over the cars and dodging them.
Awesome. XD

I did that when I was younger! It was normally a wolf or large cat/fox/wtf.. thing. They had two specific personalities and everything. Here I just thought I was crazy, nice to know I'm not.

At least it's not ONLY ME who is crazy, you know? Strength in numbers!

Bwahaha nice, I never did that. But I used to build forts with blankets in the backseat and disappear for hours and read on car trips. I also used to lay on the ground and unfocus my eyes. You know when you start to see fluff and stuff from your eyes floating around? I'd pretend they were fairies XD

haha, I never did the chasing thing as I always read in the car, played the "Alphabet Song Game" with my family or fell asleep. (I am notorious for falling asleep after a half hour to an hour after being in a car, lol.) However, since my dad is a big promoter of "the scenic route" we would always end up coming home late at night, so my siblings and I would imagine that the cars were strings of rubies and diamonds! I know that I would squint my eyes so the lights would span out and look more sparkly and magical!
(My dad still remembers that we used to talk about that, hehe!)
