Oh no no no. This wasn't good at all. The boy stood awkwardly in the middle of the sidewalk. One minute he had been tagging along behind a responsible adult, the next moment he was alone in the middle of nowhere. His tail curled up between his legs as he stared at the passing people with wide and terrified eyes. They were all giving him odd looks. Some of them were turning up their noses. He let out a terrified whimper as he wrapped his arms around himself. Oh no. This was bad. The robin on his shoulder twitched in a nervous sort of way. The boy wanted to run and hide, but he had no where to run to. He wanted Mommy or Daddy... or someone. Even the babysitter would be nice. He didn't want to be all alone in the middle of the city by himself. Choking back the tears and anxiety, Conall took a few steps forward. He would just go to the place where they were going to meet if they got separated. Then everything would be fine. But he brushed up against someone, causing him to jump back with a horrified expression.

The Armed Tove darted through the crowd, trying to escape those claws trying to grab him. It looked back, before hiding in a dark alcove. The owner of said Tove followed hurriedly, hoping awkwardly on the cold concrete, an almost irritated look on his features, it made cards step back as they noticed the suit on his chest, afraid of the famed temper of those. He didn't notice however, he wanted to find the Tove back, wondering why they attempted to touch it in the first place? He felt someone stumble into him and he looked up, not even speaking. The glare send the other Card running though, revealing the cause of the Card stumbling into him. His eyebrow raised and a light shake of his head, he wanted to hop past, but something stopped him. A child all alone here? It couldn't be right and he felt confused. He didn't feel anything for kids, but this simple couldn't be right "No parents close by?" He questioned, looking around. He didn't notice the near panicked look on the other's features, or the 'ugliness'. He also didn't bother with being subtle in his questioning. He was rather blunt, especially seeing that he still had the silent rage burning underneath his skin. He should Skin those who touched his Tove and made it run. He finally focused his gaze on the child and raised his eyebrow even higher... Well, this was kind of expected. He would have abandoned a child like that as well. Okay, he would have done that with every child he had, but this would have been the first to go.

Oh suits! OH SUITS! The card he almost ran into was suddenly talking to him! What was he supposed to do at a time like this? Talk back. He wasn't supposed to talk to strangers! For a brief moment he looked completely and utterly panicked.
The voice that came out of his mouth was silky smooth and calm. "No. I was separated from my baby sitter. Could you help me find the place where I'm supposed to go? I know the address but I don't know my way around."
He didn't look or sound pathetic did he? The boy was utterly terrified as he tried to ignore the overwhelming panic that he was feeling. Why had they just left him all alone? How could they have lost him in the crowd? The bird on his shoulder twitched and fluttered rather violently as people continued to pass by. His tail twitched as he shifted awkwardly.
He needed help. Please let this person help him and not be a rapist.

He noticed the panic and almost considered continuing his path again as to avoid the card to have an heart-attack or something, the usual silky tones of the child's voice stopped him however and he looked at the younger card once more "I.. see." He spoke, just a baby-sitter then. It wasn't all that surprising, he had been under the care of one of those as well. He lost those within the five minutes, rather fun if you ignored the trouble you got for it afterwards. He almost felt warm at those memories.
He let out a soft sigh as the young card asked that and nodded his head lightly, not that he tried to be nice. It could give him chance to search for his Tove even longer "What is the address?" He questioned then, he sounded more bored than anything. Sadly, he found the small boy pathetic. It hadn't to do with how he looked though, but that he had to live in such a world. He hadn't experienced not much himself, but what he had seen from it already. It didn't look positive..
It didn't matter, it was not that he desired much from other cards, if it wasn't for food or any liquid he wouldn't bother at all. It was also the first reason why he was here, they had a few things that couldn't be found anywhere else as far his knowledge went. His gaze looked to the twitching and fluttering bird on the other's shoulder and he had to shake his head lightly, he still waited for the kid to answer. His sharp gaze scanning the crowd once more for his Tove.

The boy did his best not to wrinkle his nose at the bird. The Villa didn't seem to like him very much, and at this point he wasn't liking the bird either. Conall was sorely tempted to walk away from him at this moment. He didn't have to put up with this treatment. He could just find another willing adult to help him. right?
He's eyes darted to the people passing by. Everyone was ignoring him and the bird. Fine... he could see if he could get this gentlemen to help him without causing trouble. "Ah, it's 199 Harper's street, the Highview Inn? Please tell me you've heard of it." The bird on his shoulder fluttered as the boy crossed his arms.
Standing his ground wasn't terribly difficult. As long as he convinced himself this was the only way that he was going to get home. He swallowed hard at the thought of being lost in the Capital alone.

He searched his memories, he could have heard of it; but he wouldn't be too sure of himself however. He nonetheless nodded "Of course." He spoke. He let out an inward sigh and decided to try and do a bit more friendly than he would have done otherwise "What's your name anyway, kid?" He questioned, more to make conversation than out of true curiosity.
He spread his wings lightly as he turned, going into the direction he believed where the Inn was. He paused however "Did you see a Tove fly past, by any chance?" He finally questioned, looking uncomfortable. He was ashamed to admit that he couldn't have prevented someone from touching it and making it flee away. He muttered briefly underneath his breath "Someone made it afraid.."
He shook his head "Should have ripped his heart out for that alone.." He spoke, again more to himself. His eyes kept scanning the area around him; now for the Tove and also for this Inn that he recognized someone. He was sure that he had passed it once or something.

Conall was quickly finding that he didn't like the idea of being lost. People were scary, and this one in particular was rather... off. It could have been simple paranoia, but the words scrawled across the bird didn't help the notion that this was a sane person willing to help him without gain.
And were they going the right way? He frowned as he watched the bird turn in the possible direction. Taking a deep and unsteady breath he stepped forward to follow the man. His ears flicked forward at the question. "No... I didn't see anything." He was far too preoccupied about being lost to notice anything. A lot of people had Toves after all, he wasn't about to keep track of all of them.
He took two steps back when he heard the "ripped his heart out" statement. Another wave of panic washed over the boy. What had this man done to someone over this Tove? What was he capable of doing to a little boy? Conall wasn't completely helpless, he did have scythes sticking out of his back and he did know a few basic things about self defense.
It didn't make him feel much better about the situation.
"Maybe you should just point me in the right direction of the hotel? You seem to be rather busy and I wouldn't want to take time out of whatever you're doing."

He wasn't luckily still unaware of the other's thoughts, otherwise he would have been cursing loudly for a time. Angavar was indeed well known for his less than sane things he had done to other cards when they had done something he hadn't liked. It wasn't to say that he was always like this, he could be a rather charming guy if he wished to be.
He nodded his head at the answer, he hadn't really expected anything else. He smiled grimly and then shrugged it off "Alright." He spoke then "Just wondering.." It almost sounded like he made an excuse for the question he had asked. He looked around, somewhat recognizing the surroundings. Of course he would, he had been here running not too long ago, searching for the Tove.
He noticed the child take two steps back and let out a soft sigh "Sorry." He muttered, although he wasn't s exactly sure why he did so, the boy couldn't do anything with it "I haven't hurt anyone in case if you ask this yourself." It was the first thing that came to mind, he realized from himself that he could be pretty violent. He sometimes worked on it, but more often than not it failed and he gave up.
He focused back on the boy as he spoke once more and shrugged "I'll come along if you don't mind." He spoke "I was heading in that direction again nonetheless, so I don't mind.." He finally looked away, slightly uncomfortable. He shouldn't push the younger boy, if he really wished to be alone he should let the younger boy alone and not try and be nice while he obvious couldn't be for a longer period.

Okay. He wasn't getting out of this. The boy refrained from making a terrified sound as he laced and unlaced his hands nervously. So they were both going in the same direction now even though they had accidentally run into each other to begin with.
Conall nodded. He could handle this. There was no need to really panic. He was more than capable of handling a situation like this. Right? Daddy had been more than happy to help him learn how to defend himself. Mommy had even taught him things when he was younger. Of course it wasn't like he had a pair of knitting needles on his person... then again he could really just turn around and hope for the best.
"W-What does the Tove look like? I haven't seen that many besides the one my grandmother has and the strange one that another relative." One of which was a bog colored one, and the other of which was a strange creature made out of bones.

[OOC: Sorry for the lateness..]
He lifted his head slightly, blinking as he was asked that question "Well He didn't know where to start. You either knew it or you didn't, how did one describe it anyway? He didn't really favor for looking like a fool and he suspected that the child would see rather quickly that he was trying to think of something that wouldn't make him look foolish.
How could he handle this the best?
Well, what is his Tove exactly? It's an Armed Tove with an elongated body and rather oversized paws and yellow-brown of color. He could try it, his wing shifted the scarf around his neck "Elongated body, yellow-brown color.." He replied, sounding more absent-minded Well, it could come out worse..
He finally shrugged it briefly "Ah, I will find it.." A slightly pained smile "Knowing the Tove it will be in someone's kitchen or something.." The humor in his voice made it sound more awkward and Angavar then decided just to keep his silence and if he had to speak, keep it as emotionless as possible.
