She could not help but give a chirp of happiness. The fact that he now had his eyesight back always made her happy. Not that she was bias on the fact that he now got to look at her . . . nope never that.
That and his new blue eyes were always a pleasure to see. She had liked the purple ones better just because they were his . . . but there was something sexy about the blue eyes.
"You should show me some of them sometime." She said with a nod. "I adore the one that you made me, so I can not really imagine that you have improved so much since then . . . Wait that sounded wrong." She quickly pondered over a way to rephrase that.
"If you have improved since the one you made me, then that must mean they are practically breath-taking to look at." Yes, that was what she had meant to said.

Eilwyn was confused by the initial comment, but when Elyse corrected himself he blushed a fantastic shade of crimson. "I'll have to show you sometime, I guess. Frankly when I walk you back to your apartment I'll grab a twig and show you." He smiled, some of his blush was fading, though it was going to take a long while.
The food came when Eilwyn opened his mouth to say something else. He took the interruption with a grain of salt as the plates were placed in front of them, along with their drinks of choice. Eilwyn stared at his meal for a moment. It really looked just like a roast beef sandwich with cheese with some fancy decorations. Sometimes he wondered why these restaurants charged so much for simple things. At least it looked good.
Taking a bite of the sandwich he glanced over at Elyse. Hopefully she was enjoying her meal.

Elyse found herself frowning slightly at the thought of the evening ending and their parting ways. Sometimes she found herself wanting to know what it would be like if they did not part company . . . maybe even lived together . . . no that was jumping things. They were still in the first few dates, how could she be wanting such a thing?
"That would be lovely" She replied instead, pushing those thoughts to the back of her head to be dealt with appropriately later.
When their food arrived she thanked the waiter, giving a pleased sigh as the enticing smell of her food. She had ordered a salad with a topping of tuna, along with a glass of water. It was sure to be lovely. Seeing his glance she smiled happily at him.
"How is it?" She asked after he had taken a bite, taking one of her own.

"Good." Though it did taste just like roast beef and melted cheese. It was very good roast beef and melted cheese, but still really expensive. He would expect that from now on from expensive restaurants.
The eagle shifted as he glanced at Elyse's meal. "How's yours?" It looked interesting. And it's not like you could go wrong is you ordered fish, it always tasted good--at least to Eilwyn.
Making casual conversation during a meal wasn't a foreign concept to Eilwyn, he was just particularly bad at it. He had never been good at talking to Zane or any of his family when the shared their meals together. They were better at casual conversation while he was one to sit quietly and listen.
This was different though, he was out on a date, he had to try to be sociable. "How has your family been since you opened your practice?" He knew that Elyse was close to her father or... her father was close to her. Either way he loved his "little girl" and the eagle imagined that he would be surprised that his daughter was dating. His father had been.

"It is wonderful" She said happily. Pushing the plate forward some, she offered to let him try it should he desire to. It really was excellent.
She took a few more bites, simply soaking up the company. At his question she finished chewing her food before replying.
"We have all kind of split up." It was a fact that made her a little sad when she truly thought about it. Having grown up constantly surrounded by all of the chaos she found that sometimes she missed that. "Mom spends most of her time in her lab, Dad is off at the Court - much like yours - along with Mnem. None of the family have heard from Hadyn in years now. Se and Ira are often at the Heart Court, Iphis has started his clothing store here in the Capital. I hear that it is doing well." She continued to recounter some of the other things that were going on with her numerous siblings before she realized she was rambling.
Blushing as it occurred to her she mumbled her apology, glancing down at her salad. She took a moment to recover before resuming the conversation, this time turning it toward something he could partake in. "How about yours?" She really enjoyed hanging out with his brothers whenever she got the chance.

Eilwyn could always appreciate talk about any family. It was nice to know that he wasn't the only one who valued all of his family members. It was quite refreshing. He hadn't really met most of her family... as much as he would love to. It was a same that they hadn't heard from Hadyn.
"Oh, everyone's doing quite well. Dad's busy like your father is. Ez is doing much better, and his business is going well. Mori opened her flower shop and I'm selling some of my figures there, Zane has taken more work at the shipping firm so I'm thinking of moving out of the apartment. Ceren is doing as well as always, and I haven't seen Tosiek in a while and Asha...." he trailed off. Asha wasn't doing very well since she found out that he was dating someone. He knew what it was about... he knew how awkward she felt about it.
"Did you ever meet Asha?" He was pretty sure that Asha conveniently left whenever Elyse came over to visit.

"I am glad to hear that Ez is doing better. I was worried about him for a while." She had a special fondness for the male that she was pretty sure came from his outward friendliness if not somewhat eccentric lifestyle.
She also tucked the information about his thoughts on looking for his own apartment. It was a little too much of a coincidence that he would mention it so soon after she had thought it.
It was wonderful to hear that his family was running much more smoothly then hers at the moment. She was a little surprised at the comment about Asha. She gave a nod of her head. "Mom is a friend of her Mom, so we met a few years back."
They had been friends for a long while, and while she had noticed that the other female had been a little more quieter of late, she had not really thought about it too much. Maybe she should check with her friend and make sure that everything was okay.

Eilwyn blinked. Wait, they had know each other for a while? Why didn't Asha mention it when he said that they were.... oh. Suddenly it hit the eagle. She had been depressed that he had his eyesight back, and then she had been more depressed when the topic of a girlfriend came up. Oh dear... there wasn't a way he could fix this.
"Huh. I'm surprised that she hadn't mentioned anything sooner." He shrugged, "We should have an outing sometime to try and cheer her up. She's been pretty down lately, even Ez has been having trouble cheering her up."
Shopping could only do so much for Asha, along with dress up and the other activities his crazy older brother enjoyed doing with some of his friends and family. Though that did bring up a rather interesting question. "Have you ever met Malch? I know he started working at the Court of Clubs where your father is."
And the eagle hadn't heard of him since.
"But I guess this really isn't time to be talking about my family... heh." The eagle blushed slightly. "Think you'll be having dessert tonight?"

"That sounds like a wonderful idea, Wyn." She would also see about having a girl-to-girl chat and see what she could resolve over the issue. Had she not noticed that she had caused one of her friends to be upset, while she herself had been at the happiest?
"Malch? No, I cannot say that I have. I think Dad might have mentioned him once or twice. I think he came up in conversation in dealing with Cha . . . someone my Dad took in from a bad situation." She explained for him, in case he had never heard the name before. From what little she had heard of Wyn's adoption she actually found that the situation between the two a little ironic.
"Dessert sounds like another wonderful idea! How about we get something to share?" She suggested. While she was more than grateful of Wyn to bring her to such a nice place she also felt a little guilty over it. Not a bad guilt but just a guilt of spending his precious money in such a way.

It was weird how their family seemed to cross paths so very often. It must have been fate. Maybe when he got a chance he would ask Malc about Pascha. He never really knew that his brother would actually have a relationship with someone. It was kind of like the way Ez flitted around but never had anyone serious.
But it was time to not think of family members for a while. He was still very much on a date.
Eilwyn was happy to share dessert with Elyse. He finished the last of his meal, and after a short while the waiter came over to ask for what they wanted. The eagle glanced over at Elyse, as much as he enjoyed sweet things, he wasn't sure what Elyse would want. "Is there anything you see on their for the two of us?" He asked, not particularly inclined to make the decision by himself.
