"There you go." She said having finished with the wrappings for the cast. The poor Guillemot had broken his leg when he had tried to land. Wiping her hands on a damp towel she walked over to the medicine cabinet. Returning to the bird she handed him a small container. "In there you will find pills that will help with the pain and swelling. Take one in the morning and then another before bed." When she had received a nod from to show he knew what to do she actually handed it over. Giving him further instructions for the care of the leg, scheduling an appointment for when he would come back for a check up, she than answered any other questions he had. Holding the door open for him as he hobbled out, she waved before returning back inside. Finally becoming aware of the time she gave a gasp. She was going to be late . . . again. She had promised Wyn that she would be on time, what was he going to think of her. Oh dear. Fretting over it she hurried to clean up her clinic, then rushing over to the sink she hurried to clean herself up.

Eilwyn was sure that Elyse was going to be late. She had a lot to do at the clinic, and it was harder to walk away from her job than his. All he really needed to do was make glass figures and hand them to shopkeepers to display in their store. Everything else was taken care of by the shop owners. He readjusted the flowers he had gotten for Elyse. He thought she would like potted plants rather than a bouquet. She did love plants so giving her one that would live for a while seemed like a better thing to do. Rather than wait at his apartment, Eilwyn decided to meet Elyse at her clinic. It would be a nice surprise wouldn't it? He hoped he wouldn't be imposing though. He didn't want to get their too early and interrupt her work.... The eagle didn't notice the other bird pass him, and headed straight for the clinic door. He knocked softly, hoping that Elyse was finished.

She was about done, having rushed through most of the cleaning. She would probably have to re-do most of it the next day, but with the anticipation of seeing Wyn again it was worth it.
It still was hard to believe that they were dating now. Most of the time it was not till she saw him again that she could truly believe that it was real. She was so happy she could give a little dance at the very thought.
Hearing the knock on the door, she figured that it was yet another person needing her healing attention. Repressing a sigh at the thought of being retained by yet more time till she could see Wyn, she went to answer the door.
Seeing who it really was she gave a happy squeak before she could properly greet him. "Wyn! Come in, come in. I am so sorry. A Guillemot came by with a broken leg and then I had to clean up. I am so sorry." She looked up at him with sorrowful eyes, her apologies continuing till either he hushed her or side-tracked her. Hopefully they would not make him mad.

Eilwyn perked up the instant Elyse opened the door. She was happy to see him! And apparently she'd been taking care of one more person. "It's not a problem at all," the eagle said while grinning, "I brought you a plant. I thought you would appreciate it more that a cut bouquet."
He was terribly happy to see Elyse. Honestly he still had trouble coming to terms with the whole dating thing. He really enjoyed it though. How could he not enjoy the fact that he was actually going out with someone he liked more than just a little.
Today was a good day, and he was going out to dinner. "I booked a nice window seat at a restaurant one of my brother's recommended." It should fantastic considering Ez's tastes in actual classy places. It would cost an arm and a leg, but it would be wonderful food and well worth it.

Taking the plant she admired it. "Oh it is lovely! Thank you so much, Wyn." She gave him a hug before going over to the window. She knew just how much light this plant needed this would be the perfect spot for it.
"It is was a very good choice. This way I can remember you every time I look at the plant rather then just the two pitiful days. Such a waste of a pretty plant," She really did not understand why people did such cruel things to them.
Looking around her she gave a nod of satisfaction. Everything seemed to be done here. Turning her attention back to the eagle she gave him a smile. "That sounds like a wonderful evening!"
Coming back to his side she went on tippy-toe to give him a light kiss on the cheek.

Eilwyn blushed at the kiss on the cheek. He would be more than happy to return the kiss, but his beak wasn't really made for that sort of thing. Either way he was terribly happy, and his blush could be seen through his feathers.
"Let's hurry then. We don't want to be late for the reservations and have our table given away." Eilwyn smiled. And he would be smiling for the rest of that evening, after all, he was out on a date. There was nothing that could darken his mood.
The walk to the restaurant wasn't a long one, and they made it with plenty of time to spare. It was a smooth process getting them seated, and having the menus placed in front of them. Now came the hard part of ordering food.
Eilwyn, for one, had absolutely no idea what to order. He had never seen this many choices in his life.

The whole way to the restaurant Elyse chirped with happiness as she walked along side her Wyn.
Her Wyn. She liked the sounds of that.
After they had arrived and seated, she found herself starring at the menu. What was she going to eat? There were so many choices all of them pretty sure to be good . . . well maybe not that one, but the rest assuredly.
Finally she narrowed it down to three choices. Playing a small game of chance she finally just picked one.
When the waiter came to take their order and drinks, she placed her order, handed the menu over, then waited for Wyn to place his order.
After the waiter had walked away to give their order to the cook, Elyse turned, smiling at Wyn. "It was really nice of you to bring me here. Though I am sure it has to be pretty expensive. A place this . . " She looked around admiringly.

Eilwyn placed his order, not really sure of what his order was. It had meat in it, that's all he could really get out of the fancy name and description. Feeling like a dork, he grinned at Elyse.
"It's expensive, but... you deserve so much more than this. You help people everyday and change lives. I think taking you out to a nice dinner is a small prince. If I could think of something else, I would." And he blushed once again. He wouldn't get used to this whole thing so quickly. Saying what he was thinking was an entirely new concept.
"So..." Eilwyn said as he fought the blush back as best her could. He was feeling painfully awkard in this formal setting. He never really did like sitting down at fancy resturants with his family. However, he would endure anything as long as it was for someone he loved. "How has your clinic been doing? You're obviously busy..."
Boy... did he sound lame.

She blushed under his praise. "Well you do know that anywhere I get to be in your company is good enough." She replied, mumbling a little over her words, her cheeks flaming a little more.
They were both acting like blushing teenagers. She shook her head at the thought, giving into a small giggle. Clearing her throat she played with one of the ivy leaves, something she did when she was bored or nervous. In this case nervous.
"Things are a little busy at the clinic, yes, though not too much so. At least generally. There are just a lot of people who need my help." She explained in a little bit of a lame way.
She really enjoyed what she did as a job, especially cause she was able to use her plants to help those in need. Plants really were a wonderful thing.
"How about with you? Are your glass figurines selling well?" She was pretty sure that they were bound to. He really did create some of the most beautiful figurines she had ever seen. The one he had given her a long while back, when they had first met, held a special place in her house.

"Oh yes, my figures are selling well." He said with a weak smile. Now that he recalled, he had never actually seen the figure that he made for Elyse. He had been blind at the time, and in all honesty he wasn't sure if it was decently made or not. He had improved quite a bit now that he could see. The eagle just hoped that she still liked the little figurine that he made for her... or that she kept it.
Of course she was Elyse, and he doubted that she would throw away something like that. It must have been important to her... right? He shouldn't dwell on how badly it could have looked if it was a gift from the heart.
Eilwyn shook that all off. They were out on a date and he needed to stop with his lack of self confidence. "I've gotten a lot better since I got my eyesight back, which is all thanks to you."
