It was a sign of how jittery and uncomfortable Myth still was, despite her opening up to Sabe more than she ever had for another Card, that she jumped a bit when he sat down beside her, and cringed as if afraid she'd be struck. But when he only rubbed his own head, she let herself flop onto her belly on the bed, grunting slightly in surprise at how soft it was, at least compared to her own ragged nest of blankets at the Warren.
The Leveret tensed at his words again, though, nervously running her paws over the edges of her bone cuffs. She wasn't sure she liked where this conversation was going, and her fears were confirmed as Sabe asked if she had ever thought of what was forbidden to her, as a Mid-Range Leveret. Her duty was to her Jack. She could never get away from that life. It was how it was.
And it wasn't actually as bad as the Bird was perhaps thinking, not that Myth knew what that was. Her Jack (her Father, too, though she hadn't mentioned that before) was quite good to her. She'd heard stories of horrible tyrant Jacks who would kill their servants on a whim, believing them less than Rabbits, less than living. It was a hard thing to explain to anyone why she felt--why she knew--it was her duty to remain locked in that life.
And yet...
"Yes," she whispered so quietly that it would be hard to pick up, even in the quiet room. "Yes, I have...often imagined what it would be like to go rogue." And it was a shameful thought that she had, up until now, kept entirely to herself. Her back burned as the magical cuts began to bleed again. Myth let them.

Sabe would turn to her when he noticed that she was talking. Though all this about going rouge wasn't something that he was interested in hearing. After all, being alone was never good and that was what probably was what kept most of the rabbits at the warren apparently. He would note that she was starting to feel shameful when he saw the blood starting to wheal up from her magical wounds on her back. He would give out a slight sigh as he moved his hand over to her head and gently stroke her a bit, trying to comfort her in some way that he could.
"Myth, you don't have to go rouge..." he said as he set his glass beside the table, his other hand not moving unless she gave some sort of protest aginst it, "You could always come with me to my how in the Forests, where no one would be able to find you... you could have your own room and not have to lift a finger unless you wanted to." he said as he took her drink and set it before her. "Now drink up, don't feel so sad and gloom!" he said with a large smile as he stopped the strokes and took his own glass in hand.

Myth tensed subtly as Sabe's hand began to stroke her head, ears going back and muscles bunching. She wasn't sure how to react to the odd touch...it wasn't something she had a category for. The closest thing she could really compare it to was the time her Mother-Doe found her bleeding and cared for her. And explained to her why she needed to -do- something to relieve her shame, rather than just paying for it in blood. Her eyes teared up a bit, thinking about how Nayeli had just...disappeared one day from the Warren. Gone without a trace.
Had she, too, met a Card who promised her the forbidden things that she was being promised now?
But no...she had accepted her lot in life. Loved it. And Myth...Myth couldn't sit her and listen to these lies a second longer. She had a duty. She HAD to do it. Sabe could never understand.
"No," she whispered under her breath, staring forlornly at the drink in front of her. "No, no, no, NO!" She closed her eyes tight, and in desperation did the only thing she could...used her ability, the one she never wanted to have in the first place, on Sabe.
This creature will now find themselves able to cause another person to hear voices that tell them what they want to hear for a full five minutes. During this time, the victim will be blind to the world around them, and will only be able to hear the voices. These voices will mimic the voices of who and what they most want to hear at that time, or what they want to hear the wearer of the cuffs saying.
((ooc Just ask if you're confused what this does. >> But don't worry, she WILL reconsider, she's just panicking right now.))

Sabe was about to say something when he felt a odd sensation come over him, that Myth was smiling and sitting next to him, sipping at the drink that he had there, telling him that all that she wished to do, that she wanted to come with him and leave the horrible warren of the evil jack that abused her for what she was, a living creature of the regions.
He would continue to sip at his drink whilst he conversed with the rabbit named Myth... how odd a name for a creature... something that wasn't suppose to exist to have a name such as Myth... or a nickname as one.
Shortly after he started to feel something strange once again. Something was up and he knew it. He realized that Myth was not sitting next to him any longer.
He would look about the room... Searching for Myth... and if she wasn't there... then the search was on... he would find her and quickly if need be... he didn't want her to get hurt.... and there were enough crazies out there to do it... not to mention...
She used magic on him... why?

Myth watched Sabe's eyes as they became blank, blind to the world...as an encouraging smile spread over his beak that meant he was hearing just what he wanted to hear...and she felt her heart clench painfully in fear. What had she just done? From what he'd said, he was the most powerful kind of Card there was! Surely he'd kill her for this...
Myth scrambled off the bed, tripping over the sheets in her haste, and throwing her hooded cloak back over her head. She ran for the door, and fumbled desperately with the lock until she heard the click. Dashing out, she ran blindly, not even paying attention to where she was going, just knowing she had to get out of there before the five minutes her ability gave her ran out.
Her back was pounding as blood rushed out again to stain the fabric, and she was too scared to control it yet...

Sabe looked about the room and noted that she really wasn't there and even went to the bathroom and knocked before entering. He knew that wasting time now would cause some distance for Myth to get away. He knew that he had to do something... who knew who she would talk to next and tell them of a Queen named Sabe that she had met. That could spell much disaster. After some time he would look about the room and note the blood that she had left behind. There were a drip here and a drip there that made him know that someone else would see this and think that someone is hurt and try to help. Suits! Why did she have to do this! So he did the next best thing... he had closed his head and stilled his mind, finding himself being so fast... faster than anyone, faster than anyone could ever be, moving so fast that he oculd move through anything that could be placed between him or what he was seeking. ♣ Amazing Ability ♣ Once a month, he is now able to move so quickly, that it will look as though the people around him are standing still. He can keep this ability activated for a full hour and can even use it to travel more quickly, should he desire. While he is using the ability though, he becomes ethereal, nothing can touch him and he cannot touch anything, as he's often moving too fast to stop in from hitting something. He is unable to attack or be attacked in this form and mode but he can usually make it at least ten hours away from where he started if he runs and uses the full hour. He would open his eyes and note that everything still moved at the same rate that it had before... but now he would be able to move really fast, he would even wave his hand seeing that it was praticaly see through and ethereal. He forwned as he started his search... green cloak... and small... probably hopping along... blood drips... green probably dark green from blood being pounded into it from her back... it would take too long... That was when he saw her... he smiled... knowing it only took him about ten minutes to do so... he could find out where she is going this way... but he had to walk really slow to keep up with her... else he would move too quickly... "Myth... slow down please?" he said in a low pleasing tone as he moved in front of her. "I'll forgive what you did if you would but return back to the room with me... please?" he asked as he moved beside her... looking as if he was walking really slow even at her rapid pace.

Myth had no concept of how long she had been running, only that her heart was pounding too hard, her back throbbing, her legs burning...but she couldn't stop. She leapt over garbage cans and under stairs, skirted the odd Card actually in those back alleys, as she continued to run. She began to look for somewhere to hide, slowly coming back to her senses through the rushing in her ears.
She heard a whisper behind her, and shivered, trying to ignore it. She was alone...but as suddenly as she heard the whisper, it faded with a soft sobbing noise, and she was confused...until she saw the Bird again, suddenly right in front of her, as if she'd never left.
Myth cried out in fear and tried to run around him, sure he was about to kill her...she couldn't make sense of his words; they got all jumbled in her brain. But it was about that time that her legs just...gave out, and she collapsed with a -whumph-, panting heavily, every muscle in her body on fire. Her head was swimming, and with an effort of will, she forced her back to quit its bleeding. Defeated blue eyes looked up at Sabe, and Myth waited for him to decide her fate.

Sabe looked down at the rabbit before him, knew how easily it would have been to tie up this liability. Though something told him that it would all work out in the end and everything would be ok. So he came out of his ethereal state and reached down at the exauged rabbit and scooped her up in his arms. He gave a slight sigh and started back towards the room that he had rented for quite a high price. He moved through the allies and side streets that were less populated without saying a single word. He just held her close to his breast.
He walked up to the back door and opened it knowing that it was unlocked at this hour for shipping and receiving. He wouldn't look at the owners of the warehouse but continue on to the room, knowing that they wouldn't bother him if he didn't have something that he wanted to share. Once up to the room did he open the door and walk inside, shutting it but not locking it. He would then set her on the bed and he himself sit on the bed thinking for a moment on how to go about this whole thing.
His hand stroking his beak as he closed his eyes a bit... "Myth... if you wanted to leave that badly you could have asked... you didn't need to use magic on me." he said as he looked back up at her his hands dropping to his lap as he opened his eyes to make sure that she was still there. "I shouldn't have asked you of such things... should have let you come to your own idea of the movement." he said standing up as he moved to the table where he left his half finished drink lifting it to his beak and taking a long drag on the white wine.
"If you want to go back to your dismal life in the warean where your treated no better than a slave then you can... or you could come with me and live a happy life where you can choose what you wish to do... have a place to sleep, food, and freedom of knowing that no harm would ever come to you." he said going back to his seat and waiting for her to say something, his cup held in his hand ready to take another sip.

Looking back on it later, Myth wouldn't remember the trip back to the hotel at all, beyond the faint feeling of being held, warmth and fear and the metallic taste of her own blood. She may have drifted in and out of consciousness, or she may have just been too weary and afraid to notice anything of what was going on. The hood of the cloak slipped off at some point, but held in the arms of such an important figure, no one really noticed the ragged, bloody bundle for what she really was.
The next thing Myth knew, she was blinking up at Sabe, lying limply on the bed, her legs feeling stiff and sore and unwilling to move much. The area around her cuffs still burned faintly, the tight bone cutting into her flesh. She trembled, wondering if what Sabe said was true, and if he really wasn't angry.
"Mr. Sabe, I...please...I'm sorry. I was just afraid. What you were saying...it was...it is forbidden, for me to consider such things. A Leveret without a Jack is less than nothing," she said quietly. "I didn't mean to give you such a bleak outlook on my life...it's not as bad as all that. My Jack, he is kind to us. He doesn't hurt us, and he lets us eat whatever we wish so long as we do all out work. He is fair. I just...I don't...feel like I belong there anymore. No other Jack will ever want me..." She glanced down sadly at her bone cuffs, and when she continued, it was in a whisper.
"I'm so scared...so confused...what is my purpose? I thought I knew, but then...these powers...I...I'm just not sure anymore." Her voice cracked as a sob welled up, but she forced it down. No, she didn't want him to see her crying. She didn't want to show weakness, to sway this Card to mistaken pity for her again.

Sabe just nodded his head and listened to what she had to say. He figured that the Jacks were mean... but the way that she talked made it sound like she had it made at the place, and yet... what she said towards the end made him have to respond, but he was caught off guard by what she said next. All he could do was frown and then smile coming closer to her.
"I know how you feel... 'bout not knowing where you will go or what you would do, never knowing what your grand purpose was in life..." he said as he sat next to her once again... and offered her the wine glass once more.
"Myth. Life it way to short to be sitting around and wondering what you need to do next. Its more or less time to take action and do what you want to do. Move forward and don't think of the past." he said wit a large smile on his face as he drinked deep from his wine glass. "So what are these powers that you got that is so strange?" he asked then rubbed his head with his off hand and the asked, "Are you talking about me talking to thin air? That power?"
He was rather curious about rabbit magic... it made him wonder if the stories were true that they wielded more power than any other and could turn mountains to plains... a very scary thought.
