This wasn't good. Not good at all. He needed to keep an eye on his sister at all times. He couldn't be separated from her! But he couldn't find her anywhere! It was the middle of the day and they'd all been at lunch, him and all his brothers and sisters, and she'd been sitting right next to him! But he'd gotten up to carry their dishes over and hand them to the servant, and when he'd turned back...she was nowhere in sight! The normally reserved youth had panicked and raced out of the room, dashing madly down the hallway, ears pinned back and worry growing inside him to a rediculous degree. He had to find her! He had to! He couldn't let anything happen to her. He always had to be there for her, always! She was his twin. He was there for her when she was sad, when the nightmares woke her in the middle of the night, when their Mother couldn't be...always! He was such a bad brother. Red and yellow eyes were wide, and staring into nothing as he ran down the hall with all the speed his puppy paws could manage. He wasn't really seeing where he was going at all...

Castiel wasn't supposed to be here, but she wanted to see Daddy. She was supposed to be with that Esterberry tutor who constantly complained if she did anything wrong. Diamonds were supposed to excel in academics or something like that. Really, the little girl didn't see the issue with misplacing a one. She had better things to do than worry about a one that didn't carry. She was on a mission! Of course she got distracted when she noticed someone was following her. It was that creepy boy who smelled funny. He was far better at being quiet than she was, but it was impossible to miss the smell. Of course as she was trying to find him she walked into the path of a frantic puppy. She was not prepared to be crashed into, and slammed to the ground with a rather loud thud. On the bright side she landed on her bum, on the not so bright side, it still really hurt. "Owie," she announced with teary eyes. Conall peaked around from the corner he was hiding behind. He had been following the Yarrow out of pure curiosity. Well. He didn't have many friends and he didn't do the "play well with others" thing. Children were generally mean and he didn't want to be insulted all the time. When he saw both the children on the floor he stayed mostly behind the corner to ask his question. "Are you two all right?"

Arkady gave a loud yelp as he felt himself collide bodily with someone (someone small, he noted, as he knocked them over and went sailing past instead of going backward), and he flopped around clumsily for a moment trying to find his paws. Nothing seemed too hurt...but when he heard the other child say "owie" he felt really bad...especially when he looked over and saw she was a human like Kenna. Humans were more fragile, and despite his youth, he already had some Solandrian bulk going for him.
His ears went back and he whimpered, tail going between his legs as he walked over to the girl. "Um...I'm really, really sorry...I was just looking for my sister and..." He blinked a bit, trying not to cry. Stupid. Why was he crying over something like this? He just felt like such a bad brother...his nose wrinkled as he smelled something...boggy. He knew that smell well from some of his siblings and from Apocalypse.
"Um...I think so..." he said quietly, half glancing in that direction but mostly keeping his eyes on the girl on the floor.

The girl quickly tried to brush the tears out of her eyes. She didn't want to cry in front of someone. She knew Mommy and Daddy worried about her because she was the "weakest" of her siblings. But she didn't like the idea of being fragile. She wanted to run and play with all the other kids rather than being stuck indoors and sick half the time.
She looked at the boy with a curious expression. Boys. Mommy told her not to trust them, but when exactly did she listen to what either of her parents had to say? And this was a boy from Solandrian.... so did that mean he belonged to Miss Heilyn?
"Ah! I'm fine, I just--ow," she said as she rubbed her back as she stood up. It really hurt. She blinked when she realized another voice had spoken. she turned around wide eyed to see the boy who had been following them.
That voice never did match that face. She had only seen and heard him once or twice. She waved emphatically before turning back to the Solandrian. "Hi! My name is Castiel! Who are you?"
Conall remained comfortably peering around the corner. He wasn't particularly sure if they would welcome him or not. At least they both seemed to acknowledge him to some degree. Maybe he should introduce himself? He was pretty sure staring like this wasn't polite or something. Mom had mentioned that at some point. "Please don't stalk people, it's creepy."
But it was hard being sociable when most children turned around and gave him insults. But these two at least... ah. He could try. Trying might be good. He slipped out from behind the corner, coming into full view. "I'm Conall. Are you two sure you don't need to go to a doctor or anything?"

Arkady's ears went back as the girl was eying him like that, but he tried to stand tall. He needed to look strong and represent his family. He needed to be the type of son his Daddy would have been proud of...even though he never knew him. He forced his ears back upright and nodded at her, trying to smile but it didn't work that well. He flinched a bit at the pain she still seemed to be in. "Hi. 'M Arkady," he mumbled, feeling a bit shy.
He never did do very well talking to anyone outside of the family. Actually, he didn't even do very well talking to his other siblings that weren't Laika. Maybe he should work on that a bit? Make some...friends? His tail gave a hesitant wag. "N-nice ta meet ya," he offered.
But at the other voice, he turned...and felt his fur stand on end a bit. Why did the boggie boy look so...-dirty-? He'd seen fur with normal Bog oils on it, he was used to that...this was just a level beyond that, even. The thought of touching such a boy, even just accidentally brushing up against him, made Ark want to puke. He couldn't stand being dirty at all, not even for a little bit. But...but he had to be nice. As long as the boy kept his distance it should be all right...
"Hi Conall..." He would let Castiel answer the question, since he'd already said he was fine.

"Nice to meet you too Arkady!" She said cheerfully. She glanced over at Conall. "And it's nice to finally meet you too! I'm fine. It's just a bump!"
That still really hurt. She frowned as she rubbed the spot. Solandrian's really were as bulky as everyone said they were. Or maybe she was just too small? That was a frustrating thought. Her eyes bounced from one boy to another, finally settling on Arkady. "Why were you running like that? Is something wrong or...?"
Conall was rather surprised by the girl's cheerfulness. Neither of the children seemed to be surprised at all, or even weirded out. He did have a robin sitting on his shoulder and scythes sticking out of his back. Most people were utterly horrified.
He shifted awkwardly, crossing his arms as he looked at the pair. Arkady seemed a tiny bit uncomfortable from the look he was getting. Maybe he should just leave.
And then Castiel turned around to look at him. "Why are you standing all the way over there? Come over here!"
The boy's ears pressed against his skull. He had been warned about Yarrows, but... she seemed nice. Rather cautiously he made his way over, keeping a decent amount of space between him and the two other children.

The little coyote even managed a decent enough smile as the little girl in pink was being friendly. His tail wagged a bit harder, still hesitant though. He couldn't really think what he was supposed to reply with when she said that, so he just settled for finally gaining his paws and moving a bit closer. Part of him wanted to lick her cheek to help her feel better, but the rest of him rebelled at the idea. He'd never shown such affection to anyone who wasn't related to him.
At her question, his tail stopped wagging, and he drooped slightly. "My sister...I was trying to find her," he responded sadly. Why did saying it aloud just make him feel worse? But maybe...maybe these other kids knew where she was? Or at least, maybe they could help him look.
He glanced over at the other child as he walked over, and resisted the urge to stare openly. Now that he could see him better, he was the strangest looking child he'd seen...and his other sister had claws in her human form, and one of his brothers had extra legs, but this...he couldn't even find a word to describe how weird this was. What was coming out of his back? They looked dangerous, like a weapon...like a sword. Or rather, two swords. And up close he looked even greasier. Ugh. Hopefully it was just normal Bog oils combined with longer fur...
((...gah, hope this is okay...I took a little nap cuz of a headache so now I'm a bit...whee...>_> ))

Castiel was blissfully unaware of any discomfort. She was far too excited at the prospect of people to be aware of any emotions other than happy. She tilted her head to one side when he admitted to what he had been doing. Her face lit up, "Oh! I'm looking for someone too! Maybe we could find them together?"
She seemed to be rather set on the idea as she turned to Conall. "Do you want to help us? I'm sure you'd be really good at finding things since you're so good at sneaking!"
Conall stared at the Yarrow with a thoroughly confused expression. How did sneaking equate to an ability to find things? He shifted awkwardly, the bird on his shoulder twitching. It was still baffling that neither of them had mentioned something... or stared. He was starting to feel like the other boy was staring at him anyway. "I'll help," he said after a moment. "But only if you really want my help."

Arkady's ears perked up slightly. She was going to help him? He nodded eagerly. They'd be sure to find her if they were both looking! Her cheerful attitude was rather infectious and the Coyote found himself quickly growing to like this girl. He felt more comfortable around her than around anyone that wasn't a part of his own immediate family. And then...she invited the other kid.
His disgust and shock at Connall's appearence and, moreover, apparent lack of hygene vied with his need to find his sister as soon as possible...and of course brotherly protection won out. He could take a bath later if need be. Yes, his thick fur took forever to dry, but it was still worth it.
"I appreciate the help," Ark said gruffly, smiling at Castiel and then turning to acknowledge the other boy as well. "Her name is Laika and she looks just like me only a girl and less hair." He ran a paw over his moehawk, a bit self-consciously. Why did he have so much hair? Apparently it was normal for Solandrians, but it was sort of a pain sometimes. Then he would think about how his Dad had probably had one like it, and he'd forgive all the hairstyle's faults again.

Conall couldn't exactly help his appearance. No matter what he did he still remained greasy, and his fur stuck up at awkward angles. His mother had tried just about everything besides magic, and nothing seemed to work. The boy felt terribly self conscious when he caught Arkady's gaze. Maybe he should go... but Castiel seemed to be nice.
Castiel clapped her hands together. "All right, I'm sure we can find her around here. She can't have gone far right? And maybe she ran into my Daddy." The girl looked over to Conall with a tilt of her head. "Did you see her around?"
He really didn't understand why the girl seemed to think he would know everything. He had just been following her because he was curious and she was rather strange in her own right. The boy opened his mouth to comment before promptly shutting it. Well... there was a chance. "We could check in the garden nearest here. A lot of people go there."
"Okay!" Castiel announced loudly as she started to march off in that direction.
