He was hungry. His ears flipped back unhappily as he continued to stalk through the woods. Something of a 'tiff' with his father's Court had driven him to wandering the regions and he was pleasantly surprised to discover that he greatly enjoyed travelling. More than that, however, it was easier to get away from the authorities whenever his meal turned out to be important enough to have their absence noted. Yes, the travelling life was definitely for him. Unfortunately, there were quite a few bad things in regard to travelling as well, and this was one of them. His instincts for direction and training from his father helped him out a great deal in strange regions, but that didn't mean he didn't still occasionally got lost and, worse, was cut off from civilization for great lengths of time. He could live off the land, but he didn't like it; he wanted meat. The pink and purple stallion froze, lavender eyes narrowing as his ears came up. Oho! Were those convenient voices he heard nearby? A smile darkened his features and he dropped low to begin making his way silently through the trees.

((Sooooo not coherent enough for this XD;))He had been going about his usual business day when a sound, something like a whimper, had distracted him. After a few hops away from his work site he found the source of distraction. Coming across a canine of the realm he cocked his head to one side then the next. "Hey you there! What do you think you are doing there?" He called out, his tone sharp causing the canine to cringe. Stumbling on a tree root she gave a sharp whimper as it caught the soft tissue in her joint. Hearing the sharp tone, though, she cringed in upon herself. She wanted to give another whimper but years had taught her that it would not be a good idea. Maybe if she kept quiet and as small as she could he would just go away? She was never that lucky though.

The first thing one had to do when stalking your prey, was go and scope out the situation. In this case, Eir didn't even need to use his years of trained stealth, though he did so instinctively anyway. He froze as he finally got a visual of the pair out in the woods and his mind immediately began to process the scene.
A Forest of Kahmden resident-- that was a big surprise out here, haha-- and a Sorgaire Range. The Ranger was a bit of a surprise, especially when the stallion took note of her rank. An Ace. Heh, how in the world had she survived enough to make it out here?
The man, however, just a Six, was far more interesting than the pet. Eir licked his lips thoughtfully as he began to judge the distances. Yes, he could make it fairly easily. Now to find out if there was anything else of note the man could tell him through his ramblings. Most importantly, Eir wanted to know who else might be around.

He gave a small sneer as he realized her rank. Good for nothing Ace. What was a thing like it doing out around here. Did the owner not know better then to keep their pet on a leash?
Though now that he thought about it, this meant that the Ace was fair game. He eyed the canine now as a prospective gain. Though the creature seemed a bit weak worse come to worse he could sell it off. The money earned from that would surely be worth some small burden.
Seeing the look in his eyes change when he realized what she was she gave a small shiver on the inside, her will falling into reluctance again. From all the years of being sold from one hand to another and then all that had happened to her at the Diamond Court . . . things she did not even want to remember. She knew that look and knew that there was nothing she could do about it.

The Card wasn't talking and Eir was losing patience. He was hungry, he was hungry now. He needed to take out that actual man first; the Ace was a non-entity. He debated about waiting longer, but his stomach was about to growl again. Forget it, he was going to eat.
The stallion charged suddenly out of the surrounding trees, baring his teeth darkly as he slammed into the pigeon and knocked the Card right off of his feet.
The Kahmden Card gave a strangled sound of fear as his mind tried to process what was happening, but the equine was too well-used to his prey to even hesitate. Eir pulled just far enough away from the man to use a hoof to slash the man's throat. The Card made a gargled sound mixing fear, pain, and dismay, then the stallion bit into the shoulder of the wing and ripped away a mass of flesh. It would take the man just a few minutes to bleed out enough to die.

When a pink and purple blur suddenly flashed out from the surrounding trees, she released a startled whine. Scampering backwards her eyes widened as they took in the horror unfolding in front of her. The . . . The horse . . . he . . . Her mind working on instincts she turned and fled the scene, adrenaline working to block any pain from her ankle. After having a debate with her sister over who their dad loved most Vespera had sought it upon herself to follow their dad and find out. The plan had worked out miraculously well until this morning when her body had betrayed her - meaning she had slept in and missed him. So here she was, wondering around alone in the Forest of Kahmden, not sure where to go or what to do. She was just about to give up in her search for her dad, for surely he would notice and come to find her. The fact that her dad had not been aware his stalker and thus would not know about the lack thereof did not seem to occur to her.

His curent kill wasn't fully dead, but the movement attracted his attention. Now that he had a guaranteed meal and the first of the heady flesh and blood was pounding through his body, revitalizing him swiftly, the stallion let himself react to the movement, and the Heart was off in a flash, hooves pounding the ground while amazingly making little sound. He caught sight of her pale hide flashing through the deep green and brown of the woods, and he pulled up enough to let her get a bit more of a head start. He lived for this: the rush, the excitement. He shrilled out a cry of triumph, allowing himself the freedom to attract attention, though there wouldn't be anyone in these deserted woods.
He sidestepped suddenly, weaving through the trees with neat, efficient movements before leaping abruptly. His chest caught the canine full on, slamming them both to the ground. His head rose up, teeth bared, like some great monster out of a lake's water and he prepared to snap her spine.

The mantra of 'have to get away' rang over and over in her head, matching her intake of air and heartbeat as she raced through the trees. At one point she stumbled but quickly caught herself before she went down. Going down now was sure to guarantee death.
Her lungs were burning with protest and her legs ached. Just a little further, surely she was almost to freedom, she just had to run a little further.
Hearing his cry of triumph her body gave a shiver in fear her eyes widening even more. She was just about to do a last attempt at darting away when she felt something solid strike her back effectively bringing her down. Letting out a scream of panic she landed on her side. She tried to protect her back at the same time as protecting her stomach.
Hearing what could only be a cry of triumph her ears went up actively trying to locate where the sound had come from. Sensing in on it she quickly sprinted in the direction. At the scream of terror she darted forward faster.
She had only just arrived, her eyes taking in the scene but not making much sense of it just yet. All that she could comprehend in that moment was that something bad was going to happen if she did not do anything.
"Stop!" She yelled in a demanding voice.

Eir's neck movement was arrested by a high-pitched squeal and he only just stopped from cracking the fragile thing. He turned to look over at the newcomer curiously and was shocked to discover a little girl staring at him. Wot the *#(^?
"Who the *#(^ are you and wot are you doing here?" the stallion snarled darkly. A little non-snack there. Eir's ears twisted backwards in disgust. Wot a waste of time. "Get out of here, brat."
His attention turned back to the Ace and he contemplated how to make the strike now. It was a different kind of rush when you got to do it in cold blood. He could be absolutely surgical with this kill. A rush of pleasure trailed down his spine as he mentally began going over the upcoming kill. It was going to be beautiful.

She glared at him from where she stood. "I am Vespera and I am lost which means that you have to help me." she replied in a definitive tone her three tails waving in an agitated manner. When he snapped at her to leave she shook her head no once.
Walking forward she made her way toward them. When she had gotten as close to them as she could and dared she looked from the Ace to him and back again. "What are you doing?" She asked him curiously.
She was sure that this was the end. Even though her mind seemed to tell her there was no escape her body still tried to curl up into as small and unnoticeable a ball as possible. This was not the way that she had ever wanted her life to end, even at the times that she had vehemently prayed for it.
Giving a small whimper she peeked out from under a paw to look at the newcomer.
