(( OOC: So I had no intention of breaking posting order, but I am painfully wide awake, and Vyn told me to technically yesterday evening. *salutes* ))
This was probably the most surreal thing that had happened this evening as Eurwen looked up at the Selkie mouse. He was actually kissing her paw? It was like out of some fairy tale she always wanted to be part of, and the best part was she wasn't actually a damsel in distress.
Her whiskers twitched slightly. So he wasn't particularly sure about the entire happenings in the city either? Damn. What else was going on tonight that people didn't know about? And where had all the people gone really.
She blinked when he suddenly cast the spell. She couldn't blame him for questioning Kaden's character. She had left out the part where she had found him looting in a small hope that he would get the tiny benefit of the doubt. Oh well. "Of course I'll still help you!" she said brightly. "It's not like I would come all this way to quit."
So that woman was someone he was looking for? Imagine that. "I'm not the best judge when it comes to odd. Then again I didn't get a good look at her. I was preoccupied by the fact that she had stabbed two people in the head and evaporated shortly after that. I certainly won't forget her casual good-bye."
Eurwen bit her lip slightly when she saw Ayden blush the addition of the kiss to her paw actually made her giggle. If any of her family had been around to watch she never would have heard the end of it.
She suddenly leaned forward, giving the bipedal a small kiss on the cheek. "Take me where ever you see fit. After this though, we have to have a proper date."

Kaden bobbed his head casually before he caught sight of the glowing green orb. Very neat. He hadn't expected a reward for simply helping out a friend, but it was always a nice gesture.
He accepts the little green orb, blinking in surprise as the orb dimmed and took to hovering around him. Interesting... Kaden would have to check this out thoroughly later. "Thanks a lot, my friend, and it was no problem; I was happy to help Ivy out." He beamed cheerfully before falling quiet to let the mice speak.
Kaden waits until the bubble is lowered before casually excusing himself. He's gotten Ivy to her date and, since they're obviously hitting it off, there's no reason for him to hang around like a third wheel. "Nice ta meet you, Ayden. Have a good time, Ivy! Y'know where to find me." He waved a wing cheerfully, already forgetting about the pain in his foot.
Good... He still had a whole lot of spectacularly weird City to explore and a veritable treasure trove of abandoned houses to loot. Kaden was at no lack of things to do.
(Kaden chooses to go Snoop (and potentially loot). :3)

(( Kaden will be joining the thread with Brandy and Jordan. decadentsuits.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=capitalrp&thread=7353&page=1 Have him sneak a ride with the pair after either locating the lost child, Kendra, or simply following after them to catch a carriage. It seems to be going somewhere good, so who knows...maybe it'll be somewhere with nice prizes to loot?)) Ayden subconsciously gripped the girls' paw a little tighter at her words "of course I'll still help you"...people didn't understand this life, what it meant and how it could change you. She did. She did, and she was willing to help him, even after what she had seen. Damn, but he liked this girl. Who said voyeurism and stalking were poor habits if they could get you enough background information to weed out poor choices? He'd seen enough of the lovely Eurwen to hope desperately that she might be different enough... And she was. "And you have no idea how glad I am to hear it." He ran a hand anxiously through his hair and glanced around them, making sure the Bird (Kaden, had they said?) was still safe out there. At the mention of the woman, his eyes grow stony. "She is a hateful person by the name of Resta. I'm following her and her band before they can...do more harm. I'm almost certain that they're behind all of this to an extent, and I'm not certain what I can do to put things to right aside from taking her down. Resta, I plan to kill, should I locate her. She is a murderer; and for fun, not righteousness or profit. Her band...I don't know how much she told them and I'll judge them as I go."He'd been giving the street a worried look when she pushed forward and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. His expression slid to one of slightly bemused confusion before he tried to fix it and stop the creeping blush. "Too true; very well. Once this is said and done, I owe you a proper night on the town, my lady." He kissed her paw again and dispelled the bubble, watching Kaden hop back over to them, looking a bit more sprightly. "It was good to meet you too, good sir. I wish you the best." He waved the Bird off, before taking to the back streets with Eurwen, staying flat pressed to the walls and shadows. They had prey to locate. Together. (( In just a few shadowy jumps and turns of a corner, they'll run across a very confused and alone Kamina and a semi-conscious Jovan. The last thing Jovan remembers was being hit in the head by something huge, Wolfish, and dark outside of the Palace of Hearts. Kamina was shopping a few seconds ago...or so she thinks...))~Nathalia

It was amazing to watch his mannerisms change from subject to subject. The look he had on his face when he spoke about the Jossigy woman almost sent a chill down Eurwen's spine. So this Resta character was responsible for all of the bullshit going down? That.... that deserved punishment beyond death. She should have done a bit more when she was back at the bar, damn, if only she had known. She nodded when he finished speaking. Yeah, she wasn't about to stop before they had even gotten started. There were people who obviously needed to be taught a lesson, and she was all for giving people what they rightfully deserved. She grinned a bit. Oh good, he was willing to go on a proper date with her. Hopefully everything went smoothly. "Don't lose any other limbs!" she called after Kaden with a wave. Hopefully he would be all right. She followed Ayden in the shadows. It was certainly a better idea than walking out in the middle of the streets like she had been and probably would have been a smart way to start. --- Kamina was confused. More than a little. She could have sworn she had been shopping... probably looking at dresses again? That made sense. What didn't make any sense was the fact that there was just about no one around. She had been shopping right? So why was she out in the middle of the street? And where was her escort? Her escort was never supposed to leave her alone. Her ears pulled back as she slowly walked down the street. "Hellllloooooo?" she called out. "Is anyone out there...?"She swallowed hard. There was something very wrong going on, and it was all very strange. Was this her usual hour to surface into sobriety? That didn't seem right at all. Her ears snapped forward. Was that a person?

Throbbing pain marks Jovan's first moments of concsciousness. Confusion instantly follows it. Jovan wills his body to rise, but it refuses. His head throbs louder in protest and his eyes flutter but everything is so heavy. His recent memories are a blur of pain, darkness, and confusion but one memory stands out starkly from the jumble: a shadow of a wolf rising behind him before a sudden pain spreads through his head. Bastard. Someone had knocked him out and left him here... Where is here? The effort to stand drags a low, groaned pain from him but the albino Josiggy manages to pull himself to his feet, however unsteady he may be. His tentacles spread out, balancing himself on whatever is closest as he attempts to survey the area. The Capital? That didn't make sense... The last place he remembered being was The Palace? Suddenly a familiar voice splits through the throbbing static in his head. ...Kamina? Jovan turns around, blinking in surprise to see the Bog mix wandering in the street nearby. ... Were they alone? Nothing made sense. He wobbled once more, barely managing to catch himself before taking another pavement dive. "Kamina? What are you doing here?" Had they been together all along?

Kamina stopped walking when she was addressed. So it was a person! Her eyes widened when she realized it was a person she knew. Not very well, but he was someone she had met. And that Mommy trusted. But why was he here? She didn't remember being with him at any point in the day. Her brow was furrowed as she slowly padded forward. "I was shopping.... maybe. This is kind of near the dress store that I like to browse through. The one with the nice leather corsets...."
Her ears twitched as she drew closer. Had she really been shopping by herself? Would her mother have let her do something like that? Maybe Grandma Peaches or.... had she been with Conall? None of it triggered anything. "How did you get here? Are you okay?"
She offered the boy a light nudge. He looked pretty off.
---
It was still terribly silent through out the city. She didn't particularly expect things to pick up all of a sudden, but some signs of life would have been nice. It was worrisome, and she couldn't help but wonder what her brother was doing at the moment. grinding halt.
That very much looked like Jovan, and she didn't particularly expect to see other albino Jossigy's with tentacles. It wasn't a common occurrence as far as she knew. She stayed in the shadows for a few moments as she watched him with the strange girl who had... something... growing out of her back?
"Jovan?" she asked as she slipped out of the shadows. "This is so not the night to take your girlfriend out on a date or babysit. I'm not sure which."
The girl with the hookah looked terribly offended and confused at the same time. A Jack of Hearts huh? And they seemed to know each other. Maybe the date comment wasn't too far off.

Jovan was thankful to see a familiar face amidst his confusion, though he was somewhat pained to discover that not only had they not been together but Kamina appeared to be more aware of herself than Jovan currently was. Not a reassuring sign at all.
"Are you out here alone?"
Her light nudge almost toppled his precarious balance, but a helpful tentacle reached out to catch the girl and stabilize himself slightly. "Hope you don't mind," he apologized as he braced himself against her. "And I'm alright, just a little dizzy from a whack on the head." Not wanting to worry her, Jovan kept the whole story to himself. No need to have her thinking someone was out to get them. He'd get her home safe and figure things out from there.
With each passing minute his head was clearing up. The pain was lessening, the confusion fading (though he still couldn't place anything he'd been doing before the blow to the head), and the dizziness was slowly fading away along with his blurred vision. Good. He wanted to get moving as soon as possible. There was something strange afoot and he didn't relish the idea of standing around making an easy target of himself.
A voice caught his attention suddenly, causing him to whip around a little too quickly. Eurwen? He balanced himself on Kamina once more before focusing on the mouse in front of him. Her words didn't immediately register and the confusion showed clearly on his face before he glanced to Kamina. Oh suits, was Eurwen talking about Kamina?
"This is Kamina. She lives at the Court of Hearts as well, but we're only just acquaintances." He rubbed his head with a tentacle, frowning at the mouse before him. She seemed to know something he didn't. "Suits, Eurwen, what the hell is going on around here? I just woke up... I don't even remembering being in the Capital before. Kamina was the only person around."

Kamina didn't particularly mind that the boy had to use her to steady himself. She was, after all, a good and steady person. She eyed the boy with a worried look. Was he really all right? It almost looked like he had a nasty bump on his head.
Her ears panned forward when the girl appeared. Girlfriend? She glanced over to Jovan. He did have a hand on her but.... did they look like they'd go out together? Confusion was registered on her face when Jovan started talking. So they knew each other?
She sniffed the air. Something smelled like chocolate. She tilted her head and took to staring at the Club girl.
---
Eurwen wrinkled her nose. Mostly because of Jovan's seemingly unsteady state, secondly because of the sudden smell that she was struck with. Nastiness with a bit of intense maybe? It took all her will power not to cover her nose.
"So you don't remember how you got here?" She looked to the girl. Had they been together at the Court? And why was she trying to stare a hole through her head?
"I don't know everything in detail," she lowered her voice a bit. "People have flat out disappeared, there are zombies, and we're hunting the person who is for this madness. I really hope it's just a coincidence that I ran into you."
She really hoped that Ayden would be willing to let Jovan help. Though... what about the Heart girl? She didn't seem to be much help.

Ayden slid out of the shadows after watching Eurwen push herself away from them at the two people in the light. He viewed them without stepping out for a few moments, listening and watching until deciding it was safe for the time, and stepping lightly forward to greet them.
"Kamina and Jovan? Well met, I am Ayden." He gave them a light, cursory bow, and watched Eurwen interact. Though she seemed to know the Hearts boy, she didn't seem to have too much care for him, and seemed to have no knowledge of the Feline. And God what an unfortunate and bizarre creature she was.
He looked them up and down. The boy seemed like a capable sort, even if he was still regaining his senses. The girl...he honestly worried about leaving her alone. If she was a Hearts child...he'd certainly heard that the Hearts nobility had been spitting out freakish children over the past few years...was this one of them? If she was, then he'd best make sure she didn't come to harm or his superiors would be less than pleased. The Courts did provide a good amount of their salary.
"I think it may be best if the two of you come with us." He said quietly. "Not to say you wouldn't be fine on your own, but tonight doesn't seem the night to be wandering around alone."
He gestured for them to follow when something shot out of the side alley, colliding with Ayden's middle and sending him flying backward against a brick wall. He rallied as best he could before a Human-shaped something collided with him again. Both fought desperately against one another before vanishing into a dark shoppe on the right.
Will the three explore the now silent shoppe? No one appears to be inside of it, but that's never meant anything in the Capital before... Or will you take off elsewhere?))[/i]

Everything happened terribly quickly. More quickly than Jovan was really ready to handle. Before he could even filter through Eurwen's strange explanation of the weirdness afoot (which honestly left him with more questions than answers), Ayden had stepped out of the shadows.
Jovan didn't like any of this, but he managed a proper greeting and a polite incline of his head before the dizziness struck him again. His ears flattened back and he closed his eyes to stop the spinning once more, a tentacle clutching his head. He had so many questions he didn't even know where to begin. Slowly he takes a deep breath, brushes the hair back out of his eyes, and focuses flatly on the mice before him.
Ayden was telling him to follow but Jovan wasn't about to go anywhere without answers -- and then a human flew from seemingly nowhere and tackled the mouse.
The sudden rush of adrenaline seemed to be exactly what Jovan needed, because clarity hit him like a proverbial ton of bricks. The King swore in surprise, releasing his tentative hold on Kamina. "What the hell just happened?!" His previous volley of questions was forgotten as his protective nature took over. At least his blood was pumping properly again. "Was that what you two were hunting?" He was already moving forward, ready to rush into the shop after Ayden and his attacker.
