((Someone tell me why it is that when I decide to KILL Brighid because I could never roleplay her properly, her muse is suddenly born? *facepalm* ))
The Doe was shocked when she was growled at. That was no way for a Leveret to behave to her! She opened her mouth to say as much when her daughter spoke up and agreed with her. An astonishing, albeit small, swell of pride filled her heart and made her smile down at the young one. It seemed as though her smarts had been passed on as well has her beauty. Pity, that she had been marked with the Lowland green instead of the beautiful Torquehelm purple. Oh, well.
M-Maybe... we were just stolen? another asked. Brighid scoffed and looked down her Rabbit nose at Layla. "If we were stolen, where is our chains, our cages and more importantly, our captors?" she asked, not realizing she'd echoed the small girl's thoughts. It seemed her daughter was the only Leveret here with some sense in her!
Brighid watched a slightly larger female Leveret approach her in a manner befitting her status. What the female Leveret said made sense. She was beautiful, and a prize. Hadn't both her ears been ripped off for that very reason? Appealing to her ego had been the right move and all though Brighid was still full of fear and panic, at least now the Doe could think a little easier.
Holding her head higher, she realized that being the only Doe here meant she had to take responsibility for the entire group of rag-tag Rabbits. "Come along, all of you. We need to make it to that Warren over there before anyone comes along and gets the bright idea to actually capture us."
She had walked a few feet towards the Warren ahead when she suddenly stopped and turned around. Once again her eyes were frantic and wide.
"What if the Jack there won't help us? What if he decides to keep us!" Brighid began to wail again at the thought of never seeing Rhodney again. Sure, he was a gross Lowlander but at least when he wore clothing his rot didn't show. More important still, he was her Jack. He had been very kind to her and had provided her with everything she had ever needed. She'd grown rather... fond of her life in his Warren. Now, was that all about to be thrown away?

He nodded to Alicia, and then blinked as she walked over to the other Doe. Wow, what a suck-up. Heh, that made her a much more proper Leveret than he was...Shelby's heart sunk as he realized the tone he'd just taken with a Doe, weird situation or not. He ducked his head submissively, and muttered an apology she might not even hear. It was just...the comment had hit upon his own insecurity, and it had made him rather defensive. But that was no excuse, not for one of his station.
He worried, suddenly. He worried about his sister, and what that horrible -thing- might have done to her. He worried about his Mother-Doe when she realized both her children were gone. Yes, he had to find his way back, or if the Jack here wanted to keep him for some reason, to at least send a message back to Heike's Warren saying he was okay and had found a new Master. Though it would mean Heike wouldn't get anything out of the trade, but he probably wouldn't have gotten much for Shelby anyway.
At least they were finally moving. Shelby began to follow Brighid, though stopped when she did. He blinked up at her. She was being a real drama queen about this...and that was coming from him! Actually, though...that was exactly what Shelby thought was going to happen. The Jack would probably keep them, especially the Doe. Shelby himself might not be worthy even of that, but at least he'd then be free to go home.
Of course, he wasn't going to say something stupid to the Doe again. There was a chance he'd need to serve her in the future, so he needed to ingratiate himself to her. "He won't want a bunch of angry Jacks on his tail," Shelby said quietly, bowing his head to the Doe and trying to speak clearly and in his high-pitched 'I'm a female Leveret' voice. That was also ignoring the fact that he knew Heike wouldn't be angry if another Jack took him, except maybe for Seena's sake.

The same sort of windstorm that had caught Maeve earlier once again seemed to descend from the sky! This time, however, the terrifying faces of the demons they were just fighting are visible within! Terrifying monstrosities, they scream as though in pain and swirl around the Leveret!
She is whirled away up into the air, twisting and writhing until she loses consciousness. She regains it suddenly as she is dropped a few feet to the ground with another small heap of Rabbits and the captured Yasmin! It seems as though they are all being...collected here...how odd? It might be a good idea to approach that Highland Warren now, before anything like that comes back!))Spidey, when you get back into action, slap up a post or two of Anubis and Dafina getting to this Highland Warren as well and we'll squeeze you back in. ~Nathalia

((Hi, guys! )) Maeve regained her senses just in time to feel herself drop, and gave a muted shriek which was prematurely ended upon impact. She remained there in a heap of skewed limbs, quivering. If she had been terrified before, she couldn't begin to describe the paralyzing fear that now beset her. Maeve rather thought she might be in shock. The wind had swept her up again, and just as before she couldn't remember the intermediate portion of the journey. Only this time, she had a better idea concerning what had happened. It was those monsters, the smoke creatures; she had seen them in the whirlwind that had snatched her. If they weren't directly responsible, they were at least connected with whatever was happening. She made note of her fellows rabbits, slowly; she even recognized one of them. It was the doe; the one the Jack had so desperately wanted to retrieve. Found her, Anubis she thought, slightly hysterically. But where were they? Had they all been snatched up by the shadow creatures, as well? For what purpose? And why deposit them--in the middle of nowhere. Maeve took stock of the immediate surroundings with a wary frown; she didn't see anything that looked immediately threatening, but she didn't like being out in the open like this. And was that warren in the distance? The same, or different? "What do you know? Where are we?" she demanded of the group, uncaring of proper etiquette. Knowledge might provide the way out, and Maeve was getting out.

(I'm going to go ahead and break posting order since we're allowed. XD Hey, Dark!! [waves] Welcome to the fun!)
Brighid had begun to hysterically cry when she felt, well...it wasn't exactly a breeze per se. Her interest piqued, she looked up from her paws and immediately stared open-mouthed at a tornado fast approaching their little group! She stood there, frozen with fear and unable to move until the funnel got close enough that she could actually see evil faces looming from the twister.
They were coming to take her away! Again!!
Brighid finally found the use of her feet and ran as fast as her Torque bindings would allow her, leaving the other Leverets behind to fend for themselves. She didn't get far, however, when she heard a shriek and a thud. Turning around, though all her instincts begged her to run, she saw that another Doe had fallen into the area as well as a very odd-looking Leveret.
The Torque Doe hopped back towards the group, just getting there when that ....wait, what was on that girl's tail?
Momentarily distracted by such an odd sight, Brighid hadn't heard a thing the new Leveret had said. She hopped right up into her face and looked down.
"Did you do this to us? Did you bring us here for your Jack? Is that your Warren in the distance?" she asked, a demand for answers in her voice.

Luckily, Brighid seemed placated by the properly deferential ego-stroking, and that had distracted her from Shelby's outburst. On the other hand, it didn't keep her from a bout of hysterical tears. Oh, brother.
Alicia shook her head slowly, lips pursed as the newcomer made general demands for information. Even in her dreams, other rabbits were without proper decorum and manners. It wasn't long before a strange swirling wind picked up, sending the Torquehelm Doe into panic and soon dropping even MORE rabbits on the grass. A strange dream, indeed!
The highland leveret had no intention of standing around and listening to bickering when there was a warren within easy reach. Even in a dream world, she knew that the open was dangerous and the underground was safe: it was almost an instinctive feeling of discomfort with places that were too wide open or exposed. She brushed a strand of bronze mane from her face with one paw in an impatient gesture.
"Shelby, shall we head toward the warren? I don't like to stay too far from the underground, and I'd like to see who's there that might help us." Hopefully the Selkie leveret would respond to her friendly request, and they might make their way to the welcoming-looking burrow before the dream got any stranger. With a slightly glassy look still in her eyes, Alicia became to hop in the direction of the distant warren at a leisurely pace. Hopefully the others would follow along, but if not, well, she would wake up sooner or later and all this would be gone...

Maeve was rightly stressed, and the restraint she would generally exercise when dealing with higher ranked individuals was completely shattered. Perhaps she would have minded her tongue better if it had been a Jack--Anubis came to mind, briefly--but it was a Doe. Maeve was tired, and scared, and she was not dealing with this right now.
"Of course," Maeve snarled, "Little me bodily dragged all of you off into the middle of nowhere, and then popped back in for a visit. Traveling by whirlwind is the newest fad. Just how dumb are you?" Not her best use of tact, but honestly--Does.
She shook herself, and tried again. "Look, I'm sorry. I'm a bit...frazzled...right now. I was snatched up by the smoke creatures, same as you I imagine. Beyond that, I don't know what's going on."
Maeve glanced at the other leveret that had spoken, though it hadn't been directed at her, "Heading to the warren is probably best, but if it's in the same shape as the last one I was at..." Maeve shrugged helplessly. They wouldn't know until they got there.

Shelby's eyes widened impossibly as some sort of weird-looking tornado appeared and dropped another Rabbit down nearly on top of them. Was -that- what had brought them all here? By the White Rabbit, how terrifying! He made a small, scared noise and tugged on his ears again. Of course, as soon as it came it was gone, and Shelby was about to hop over to speak with the new Leveret when Bridget did, instead. "Um," he began quietly, very much doubting that the new one had anything to do with this situation despite her oddly-shaped tail, but then the Leveret spoke up for herself.
And was far, far ruder than Shelby himself had been. He nodded urgently to Alicia. No -way- did he want to deal with more of the hysterical Doe right now. Or, really, ever. "Let's go. It's our best option," he agreed, and followed the Highlands Leveret as she moved toward the Warren. He glanced over at the newcomer as she spoke to them. He half wanted to congratulate her for standing up to the Torque Doe, but feared retribution too much for that. "Wh-why, what shape was the other Warren in?" How many Warrens had been hit with this? He really hoped his own was all right. Of course, when he was attacked, he not been at his own Warren. Small comfort considering he had no idea where he was in the least.

Forgetting herself for a brief moment in the onslaught of insults from this new Leveret, Brighid stared dumbfounded with her mouth gaping.
She could feel such rage stirring inside of her and would have smacked the Leveret so hard her head would have spun.... if she hadn't just hopped off after the kinder female Leveret. She watched as they all seemed to ignore her and head towards the Warren, which had been her idea to begin with!
If she ever found out which Jack that little freak belonged to, she would certainly give him a piece of her mind. That kind of behavior was just unacceptable! The Torque found herself imagining thumping her feet into the girl's face, then shook her head. Such thoughts were not fit for a lady of her stature.
Holding her hose high in the air, she hopped fast towards the others. Faster, actually, and passed them in no time. Not looking behind her she made her way towards the Warren. She wanted gone from all of these ruffians who had no respect for those above them!

Shelby's nod was a relief to Alicia. "Wonderful." Without further speech she was ready to be off. She was half tempted to say something to the new leveret (such manners! She had never seen anything like it!), but she thought better of it. No need to pick a fight with someone who probably wasn't real in defense of a Doe who was also probably imaginary... Alicia's strange logic was beginning to strain even her considerable powers of denial.
The idea that this was reality... that she had truly come through a cabinet, ended up in a random field and watched a whirlwind toss an impossibly rude leveret on the grass... it just didn't bear considering. She couldn't handle it. Some small protective part of her mind that somehow knew this instinctively told her to keep on towards the warren, smother doubts in activity, don't dwell on even the possibility that this could be real.
At least the group as a whole seemed to be on the move, and the Does weren't allowing themselves to be left behind. Surprisingly, they weren't applying a beatdown or any punishing magical abilities to the insubordinate jossigy, either. How terribly strange...
