Jala followed biddably enough, probably having to be half-dragged from time to time by her stranger-mother whom she only knew by the insistance of the Doe that they were in face blood related. What a thing it was... Jala was mystified to think that she could actually be related to this beautiful creature. Was she loved and prized where she came from? Was she a thing of great envy to be traded off for an expensive trinket for her father Jack? It was quite a fun idea, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
Layla swayed a bit as she walked, ignoring the prattle of her companions for the most part; all she wanted to do was get to a safe place and find out just -where- they were, and how they could be returned to their rightful warrens. The groggy thought -had- come to her mind that perhaps the Jack living in this warren could very well be their captor... but what choice did they have? Layla was not keen on the eye of stumbling through the Highland Hills trying to find home.
If they were able to get to the door with no extraneous thing happening, it would be Layla who goes to the door, a sense of desperation gripping her as she banged her paw on the door.

Shelby blinked as the Doe stormed ahead. That seemed rather stupid to him...but then, none of the Doe's actions so far had been those of a sensible woman. Perhaps it could be blamed on her swollen belly, though Shelby thought it more likely the Doe was just like that all the time. So different from his own mother, who was smart and level-headed about most things. As he thought that, an ache rose in his chest...he missed home, suddenly. He missed his mother and his sister and Heike and the Warren and the lake and the flower patch...
It built up so much that he was forced to stop for a moment and pull on his ears to bring himself back to reality. He didn't know if he would ever see them again. He had to be strong. But oh...it was so difficult. He hung back as they reached the Warren, letting the little green-and-black Leveret run ahead and knock on the door. Hopefully, they'd catch the resident Jack in a good mood...

Maeve was honestly surprised the Doe did not make an effort to put an uppity leveret in her place; halfhearted apology, or not, what she had done had been grossly rude, regardless of the circumstances. If the Doe had put herself right back in Maeve's personal space in some ridiculous attempt to reestablish dominance, however, Maeve was not certain she would act any different than she had the first time.
Logically, she knew that telling an unknown Doe to piss off was even more suicidal than saying the same to a known; there was no telling how the Doe could have reacted, not to mention what sort of ability she might have, though Doe abilities tended towards the vain and/or completely useless in Maeve's experience. It was very rare (again, in her experience) that a Doe had an ability that could actually hurt someone. And even then, Maeve couldn't truly regret her actions. If this horrible nightmare ever ended, she would deal with the consequences of her actions then, but she was having her doubts.
She answered the other leveret--Shelby, was it? she was fairly certain that's how the Highland leveret had addressed the other--as they walked: "It was complete rubble," she explained, "It looked like an earthquake, and there were smoke monsters everywhere. They were carrying off the Does."
Maeve glanced at the Doe as she sped off without comment; if the creature wanted to go rushing off into unknown danger without the small assurance offered by staying together as a group, that was her own prerogative.
Luckily, they reached the warren without incident. She worried about what they might find inside, however, and hung back.

Alicia was glad to be making forward progress, and the fact the group was proceeding in a more or less orderly fashion seemed to bode well. All the dream-rabbits were hopping across the green expanse together, as if they were a strange sort of herd. It was oddly peaceful. She listened with pricked ears to what the Rude Leveret told Shelby as they walked.
Smoke monsters... she vaguely recalled having dreamed something like that before. So this must be a dream. But yet, what kind of dream involved dreaming about remembering another dream? What kind of dream involved wondering what kind of dream one was in? Alicia wasn't stupid, but the emotional strain coupled with circular logic was getting to be almost too much for her overtaxed mind, and she gave it up as a lost cause. She would go with the flow and try to trust that before too long she would wake up safe and sound in her little bed of clean but ragged blankets... Possibly with a hangover.
By the time she had renewed her conviction of the unreality of the situation through sheer willfulness, they had arrived at the warren and one of the leverets was knocking on the door. Alicia hunkered down a little behind Brighid and ran a paw through her mane, smoothing it just in case a Jack or Doe should answer the door. It was just habit, really, since first impressions shouldn't matter in a dream, where a codfish or a dancing bottle-brush was just as likely to appear as a rabbit.

As she neared the Warren, Brighid began to slow her pace until the rest of the Rabbits had caught up with her. Realizing that being found all by herself would most certainly prove more disastrous than appearing with a large group, she allowed the others to gather around her once more. It was comforting. Even though she didn't know these other Leverets, and didn't like some of them, it was still a comfort to have others just as lost and confused as she was.
Brighid pulled Jala close to her as one of the Leverets approached and knocked on the door to the Warren. Her fear and anxiety of who was behind those doors bubbled over in the form of silent tears leaking onto the fur around her eyes. She wanted to fall down on the ground and give into her sobs, but it would not do to break down so in front of unknown Rabbits.
It didn't help that her stomach was beginning to give a most unpleasant feeling. It didn't feel like hunger pangs. But then again, it had been a long time since she'd felt true hunger after being traded off to Rhodney. Was she just hungry? Brighid absently rubbed a paw against her abdomen as the group waited for their fears or hopes to be confirmed.

((Once they get to the opening of the Warren, they'll find it oddly...exposed. Almost as though it's been dug up and the entrance has been ripped and torn at. The entire thing smells...off, like a storm on the horizon...or maybe just bad cologne?
Though the front door seemed normal, the hallway within is torn up, damp, objects strewn all over and an odd smell everywhere...mixed with blood. There doesn't appear to be anyone running to your calls, but there does seem to be the odd feeling you're all being watched. There are three burrows off from the hallways that are closest to you...maybe it would be a good idea to search them? You can only split into a maximum of two groups and each group must have a minimum of two Rabbits.
The first burrow is what looks like a Jack' greeting room for guests. Once charming with a red rug and a few cute wall hangings, some posh chairs (now destroyed) and some cabinets. The second is what appears to be a Leveret's closet for them to keep some regular items and cleaning things. It isn't too deep, but it is wide... The third is a long tunnel leading to two Does' rooms. They're wrecked like everything else and smell even worse...
Search them and split up if you see the need. Good luck.))

Something was horribly wrong. It was too quiet, too still. No one had come to answer the door. Maeve quivered with unease.
Perhaps it wasn’t the same as with the other warren--the exterior structure looked intact, from what could be seen above-ground, which ruled out an earthquake, but the entrance seemed oddly…exposed…when looked at closely, and the ground around it was disturbed in great furrows of earth--but something was most definitely wrong.
The thought of lopping quickly in the other direction crossed her mind, briefly; she was beginning to suspect, however, that there would be no easy escape from the events unfolding. If the smoke creatures had snatched her up twice thus far, they could just as easily repeat the action for a third time, and only the White Rabbit knew where she would end up next. There was no choice but to continue moving forward, and glean what information she could concerning the situation. Which meant searching the warren. Perhaps there were still Rabbits left inside.
Maeve inched towards the entrance, tail lashing uneasily, and pushed open the door.
“Coming?” she asked the others softly.

Smoke monsters and rubble? Oh, that wasn't good at all. Shelby's imagination treated him to a brief vision of Heike's Warren, reduced to a pile of rubble, all the hard work of the small group of Rabbits destroyed, and his mom being carried off by some sort of freaky monster. He shivered and forced the vision away. His mom would probably fight the monster anyway, if she could. Of course, taking another glance around the Warren they were in front of, he noticed that what he'd taken to be some artful work of the Leverets were actually tunnels dug in the earth near the door of the Warren. When Maeve pushed open the door, Shelby got a brief glimpse of the inside, and saw destruction.
The little Lev balked at that, and stumbled a step backwards. He looked around wildly, as if expecting to see monsters among the destroyed carpets and splintered furniture. He pulled at his ears, briefly entertaining the idea of bolting, but then he'd be alone and who knew what would happen then? "Y-yeah," he mumbled, hopping after the Josiggy Leveret into the Warren. He kicked a large shard of a broken vase out of the way, flinching as it hit a wall and shattered further. Oops. Now, anything would know they were here. He wrinkled his nose at the smell and cautiously peered at their options.

”Um.” Alicia was speechless at the state of the warren. This was not at all what she had expected. This was worse, stranger and more real than anything she’d dreamed before. As she followed Shelby inside, the sound of shattering pottery was terribly loud in the stillness. Terribly real. The smells were terrible too. Blood, damp earth and something even worse. She couldn’t remember smelling anything in a dream before…
The glazed and trancelike calm she had carefully cultivated began to fall away. Her comforting illusion was slowly but surely cracking and Alicia found herself on the edge of a very unseemly panic-induced tantrum. She tried in vain to return to the happy place of denial that had sustained her up until entering the ravaged warren. This simply couldn’t be real. Could. Not. Be. It was unthinkable! It was preposterous! It was dreadfully unfair. It was no good. As horrible and strange as this was, it was real.
She made a soft and deeply unhappy noise as she looked around. This was not the sort of place she belonged. What was she supposed to do now? What she always did. Serve does and Jacks, clean, cook, try to be perfect. With a deep breath in she mustered her full sense of duty. ”We had better make sure there’s no one in here that needs help.” She pointed towards the small hallway with one paw. The does’ rooms would be a good place to start.

Jala whimpered slightly, forelegs grasping at the ground in vain as this supposed… 'mother' held onto her very tightly. Her belly felt so uncomfortable and she didn't really wasn't to do much of -anything- except easer her discomfort. The Highland leveret's query fell on deaf ears.
Layla on the other hand, was a bit more… with it, though still groggy from the ordeal of having just woken up. Still, she was able to give a listless nod. "I agree. There may be Does or Jacks who need our help. I don't believe there are any leverets here aside from ourselves. If there were, they would have been here to open the door." One sniff down the Doe's hallway, and she wrinkled her nose. "Smells as if they haven't been -cleaning- either."
"I don't feel good." Jala complained petulantly, attempting to curl up into herself.
Layla stared at the complaining fellow leveret for a minute before giving a sigh. "Well, there is nothing we can do until we find some help. We can't very well steal something; we need permission before we get any medicines for you."
((My vote for Layla at least, is the Doe's room XD))
